This is by far the best planet fitness I’ve been to. I love that they have lower body machines - like leg press , hack machine, and a glute bridge machine. I do wish they had more machines of those because it’s hard since they only have one of each and if they are being used there is no telling when you’re next. However this place is great and clean. Joseph is GREAT! I feel like this gym is my favorite place to be at. Please get more machines.

Planet Fitness in Denton is fantastic! The gym is clean, well-organized, and the staff are very friendly. I loved the variety of equipment and the welcoming atmosphere. My only minor issue was that I wasn’t a big fan of the treadmills, but otherwise, it was a great experience!

August 14, 2025 update: the only downside of this PF Location was old rickety stair machines. Cassandra, the manager, just told me that 10 new stair machines will be installed early next week (this location currently only has 4 machines).

Otherwise, I prefer this location: it has better lighting, better floorplan, less crowded, has newer resistance machines, more dumb bells, more benches and generally has quieter members compared to the PF at 288.

Brooke, the manager, was super cool, laid back and helpful. No high pressure sales tactics. Spotlessly clean equipment and facilities. The only gym that doesn't "smell like a gym" :)

I love the ambience at Planet Fitness, as well as the variety of equipment available. The gym is very clean and spacious, which I really appreciate. However, I noticed that while they have 6 Smith machines, they don’t have a standard bench for chest workouts or a barbell for deadlifts. I prefer not to do these exercises on a Smith machine, as it's not the best equipment for them.

I went in to sign up for their membership and I was immediately greeted by a friendly staff member Jessica but, she goes by J! She was super helpful to give me the most beneficial information I needed in order to sign up for a membership! So, in her sharing with me here’s what I can share with you! If you know anyone who has a gym membership with the planet fitness app that person send you a referral link from there so that all you have to pay is a 1.00 to sign up! Then you will pay your monthly fee moving forward!

I've been trying to cancel my membership for a month now. They wouldnt let me do it online(in violation of f.t.c. 'click to cancel' law). They wouldn't let me do it in the app, nor on the phone, so I had to go in person. Where I was informed that even though I canceled a week before the new billing cycle and I paid extra for no early termination fees, I still have to pay another month or two. That's in clear violation of the 'click to cancel' rules clearly defined and stated on the ftc website. Doing a chargeback is the only way to stop the charges according to Jeremy

Jeremy's and Cassandra's lack of professionalism made me have to report them to the ftc. Hours of calls to planet fitness corporate lines, tons of needless b.s. from local staff, and just overall an absolute terrible experience with a gym that was always closed or had construction worker going on it

I was planning to join this gym having been a prior member in Sherman tx before. What a joke this gym is. Reef no joke gave me a tour. The gym was lacking the normal purple sparkling clean equipment in many areas that is a standard in planet fitness gyms that I have been at. I was going to purchase a black membership which includes tanning and massage chair privileges with the membership. Reef informed me these are not available.when I asked why are they included in the black membership if not available she’s said her manager made that decision. Every PF I HAVE EVER WORKED OUT AT HAD A CIRCUIT AREA. When I asked reef to show me the circuit area she indicated it did not exist. I then asked her are you going to discount the membership and she indicated her manager is not willing to do this. So in my words they want to charge full price while providing lees than full services.EVERYONE SHOULD RUN FROM THIS GYM!!! Look at their website. It indicates these are available when they are not. Can you spell fraud

Planet fitness closed their doors on I-35. No advance warning or notification!! Went to the university Dr location in Denton last night, under construction so no fans running. Air conditioning was not very cool and it was 70 and humid. The tanning room was smoldering!!! Almost didn’t tan it was so bad. Member’s should not have to deal with an extreme hot tanning room . Not to mention you turn on the bed and more heat . Unacceptable!!! There needs to be fans installed in the tanning rooms . If fans cannot be on due to construction then drop the thermostat down to be cooler . People can layer if they are cold . If you actually work out you would be thankful for fans and proper cooling of the air conditioning!! I would appreciate a response to what can be done to resolve this matter and what is the situation with the closed Planet Fitness on I-35 ? Thank you

Been a black card member for about 5 years. Today had a mixup with my joint account. Was trying to initiate a solo account but was unable to retrieve my bank account number a few minutes before 5. I had my debit card. When I couldn't get it they denied me entry. The girls at the front were snobby and rude. I witnessed it with a couple other members while I was standing there. They can't be bothered to manually check anyone in. It's indefensible. Never going back. Competitors are a 3rd the cost and twice as friendly.

I am a gold member and have been going 5 days a week for about a mth. I can already see the change in my body and my clothes fit different. In the past, I always signed up for 24 hour fitness or La fitness. I was a little skeptical to join Planet fitness, but it actually turned out to be a great choice. The staff is very friendly and the everything is kept up with. It can get a little crowded depending on the location but still worth the value. If you are looking for a place to work out and feel comfortable. This is a good choice in my opinion.
