Love Planet Fitness. The staff is very friendly and professional. They always clean the gym and the machines. Everyone has great gym etiquette and everyone wipe down when they finished working out. There are alot of weight and cardio machines; I rarely have to wait to get a workout in! Great experience and great atmosphere! I have no issue finding parking. Gym membership is affordable.

I checked all PF policies in app and through email there is NOTHING that states or informs guests they CANOT leave items overnight there is a small sign in the locker room that states for daily use only.

I would like to speak to someone at a corporate level that can handle a complaint against management. I am beyond disgusted an embarrassed by the defamation of my character that took place this evening. Not only was MGMT out of line but didn't handle problem tactfully. The nonsense that goes on and the disrespectful kids that attend do NOT have a place where adults are; either have respect or you shouldn't be allowed; not to mention my pror review of machines always broken and how dirty they allow areas to get. I feel bad for some of the workers that are kind; that recent new female mgr has had conflict with so many; including fraternizing with customers while working. Absolutely unacceptable. I’ve gone to this gym with no issues previously. Today I’ve experienced the most disgusting feeling. There was no paper what to ever to sanitize the areas. There WAS RAGS which is really disgusting. People were cleaning their areas with it and that’s absolutely unsanitary. I refuse to use a rag to be repeatedly used to wipe down seats and such that is disgusting and unsanitary to even touch. There is sweat and it’s just ew. Even in the bathroom I go there is NOTHING. I asked the janitor for paper and she said there wouldn’t be any in an hour. Please be prepared with paper it’s absolutely unacceptable.

Without a doubt it is very similar to most of your Planet Fitness nation wide, with a few exceptions of which I will show you with some photos. And believe me: I understand that we all want to hangout and greet our friends.
However, if you are interested in keeping your job,you will make it a priority. Management should instill these values in the next-generation, otherwise all we can expect is lousy service.
The men's locker room/ restroom looks and smells BAD, (one week's notice), then Health Department needs to be made aware. Those broken machines need to be fixed or repaired, they are a Hazzard to both employees and members.
Collected trash should not be piled by the front desk, it makes the establishment look 3rd world. And again this is a Hazzard.
I will keep a tab on this particular Planet Fitness, hopefully they will decide to address the foregoing issues. I would like to edit this posting, with 5-stars and a favorable response .

I really love this gym — the equipment is solid, the atmosphere is motivating, and the staff is great. However, the temperature inside is consistently too hot, which makes working out uncomfortable and sometimes even unbearable. A cooler environment would make a huge difference in the experience. I love the 24 hours operation gym. I got at 4 am and it's perfect. A bunch of cardio machines and the weight machines are great. Everyone wipes machines after use and staff are friendly. The gym off Gateway west has. plenty of parking. Weekends it's open 7am to 7pm, otherwise it's open 24 hours.

This place looks like a daycare when it is Juneteenth holiday for over a month you see children all over the place that just talk and don’t use the machines accordingly. Plenty of machines that need maintenance and they don’t know how to fix them. The bathrooms are disgusting with hairs and paper all over the place. Restrooms look like a wreck like a sunami hit the place water all over the floor and sinks. If you want a gym that’s cheap and messy this is for you.

I upgraded from my health insurance regular membership to planet fitness black card membership to take advantage of their red light therapy and hydro massage beds, only to use them a few times because they’ve been not working for almost three weeks now. They don’t even care that a lot of their members are paying more to use these services. I’m going to completely cancel and go to golds. If you’re thinking of getting a membership here, don’t. It’s a big gym but there’s way too many people and their perks are not really perks bc they’re not available for use.

My sister and I got there we were checking in, the front desk was super rude an employee named Sam told us that we had to take a picture in a very rudely way, we have never gotten asked to take a picture the times we have gone then he asked for a guest pass for one of our guests he was telling my sister how to do it then he saw that she had someone as a guest before, my sister did not understand what he asked so my sister just said yes he then checked the profile and said that’s ( the other guests name) and my sister said oh no sorry that’s not her he then said well I asked you if that was her and you told me yes in a very disrespectful way, then he started rushing us telling us that they were closing at 9 but we were there at 8:25, so then we were trying to figure out how to activate the guest pass and he was telling us how we could possibly get it with an attitude telling us that without the guest pass we couldn’t go in and he was trying to hurry us up. We then left because we felt very uncomfortable, disrespectful, we wasted our time and this planet fitness was convenient since it was closer for my sister but it is a bit of a drive for me, we never expected for us to be treated this way because we have had a good experience with another employee that does welcome us and is friendly.

Today I experienced the worst customer service at this location i went with my guest for a 30 minute workout and the representative didn't let me in he's name is Sam he told us they were about to closed and was demanding my guest for a guest pass we were trying to get it since this was the first time they had asked me for one and I been taking my guest several times this is the reason why I'm paying for the black card I ended up leaving he was making fun of me for not having an iPhone also being sarcastic all the time I really wish this teenagers get train better since we are paying for a service we are not asking for free stuff WE ARE PAYING!

March 11, 2025, update. Water pressure satisfactory. Hot. Pressure good. The equipment is good. I have gained 10lbs of muscle since my previous review. Well ventilated, new and lots of glass where sunlight comes in. Did 2S...showered and shaved. Bathroom stalls on the men's side are run of the mill. Flimsy, but adequate. Music on the intercom was too new...seemed like most of the songs were new. I didn't recognize most of the artists. Recommend u don't bring your wallet or valuable inside,,, just 2b on the safe side. Lots of youngsters who have quick reflexes. ///

Shower pressure low. Hot water was warm at best. Ample parking. If you use a locker, you must provide your own lock. Also, you have to bring your own towels. Cardio equipment was more than adequate. Overall, P.F. is a very good (new place) to work out at in Horizon City.

Great PF gym as usual, but rather small or the way the machines are organized makes it more crowded than other gyms. I have to temporarily commute here from Central so I checked out the gym that was nearest.

My main reason for this rating is access via driving is impractical if you are coming off the freeway via I-10W, Google maps will suggest exiting Horizon blvd, make a U-turn and drive about 2mi to enter the gym. Lots of 18-wheelers. The other option is exiting on Eastlake, make a right drive a couple miles up, turn on Rojas — and this is where you may get confused— there’s a diagonal, forked street I wouldn’t bother to try finding as I missed it the first time. Impractical street planning for access to this gym, I suggest going to another PF gym if you have to commute to Eastlake, EPCC Mission Del Paso, Horizon City, etc. Exiting is easy, but entering has poor street planning.

If you live near this gym, then disregard this. It’s for those who have to commute from inner El Paso.

Very nice. I rated it down because every other PF I've ever gone has a chair and hooks. Where am I supposed to put my clothes...???

Update: lowered the score too because 2 weeks later and I had to grab a chair from the lobby - no hooks or chairs for clothes in the total enhancement room. Unacceptable.

Also, 4 showers and 1 changing room. Eliminate the sink that's by itself and install another changing.

I like to use the 30 minute workout area. There were 3 guys on the same machine and not moving. 2 guys finally finished & got on those machines and one guy was still there after 30 minutes...and I had to ask him if I could cut in. He seemed put out. There were 3 people at the front desk-why doesn't one check things out as well as enforcing wiping down machines.

Warning, be careful with the owner of this pickup. This morning a guy attacked me from behind in the locker room. Allegedly because he held the door for me when I came in, and I did not go in. After which he followed me into the locker room and began to push me and threaten me. Then I approached him in the hall in front of people and asked him why he did it and why he pushed me. But I did not hear an answer, there was another woman with him, she also behaved inappropriately and aggressively. I will attach a photo of the license plate and the car below. What's with the water fountains being out of order? I have to limit my workouts cause when my water bottle is empty, I can't refill it. Im not about to spend money on drinks when im perfectly content with water. The water heater is crap, and I'm basically taking cold showers. Staff was initially helpful but when needed help with billing they were not as helpful, paper towels are sometimes empty, mirrors are dirty/cloudy from poor cleaning, the only one drinking fountain they have was broken but they did offer me a discount on bottled water. Just got my membership about a month ago.
I was going in the afternoon but too many machines out of order.. so then I started going in the AM, and just today I walked in the restroom and all 4 stalls were EXTREMELY dirty. Full of poop, pads on the floor, no TP, the sinks full of hair and water .. showers full of stains.
I brought it up to the employee since I really had to use the restroom. He handed me the TP rolls so I could put them in the stalls… ????
Which I didn’t because I couldn’t stand to even walk in there.
Then I mentioned the poop in all stalls and he didn’t bother cleaning. He stood behind the counter for about 40 mins waiting for his shift to end. Next employee came in and immediately started cleaning the restrooms.
I wasn’t going to make a big deal but it’s very unfair that he knew the restrooms were dirty yet he left it like that for the next employee to clean.

My boyfriend and I go to this Planet Fitness often late at night, as it is the best time to go in our opinion. It is always less crowded, clean, and judgment free! We are always grateful for the super friendly and helpful over night guy James! He is never the type to just stand around, we always see him making sure cleaning supplies are replenished, that the machines are clean, and that equipment is put away where it goes. We have made a couple gym buddies at this location over time, and we have never felt so welcome!~

Great location with ample parking. The gym has all the amenities you would expect in a modern gym: weights area, treadmills, core and strength training machines etc. Staff is courteous and very friendly. The atmosphere is nice and welcoming. I definitely recommend this facility.

Be vary wary and careful with this location as to cancellation. I signed up on a deal where if I canceled by a certain date I would be charged only an initial $1. I sent email well before the deadline for canceling. In response, the company called me and said only in person or by mail cancellation is effective. That’s unreasonable and stupid and probably not “legal,” as they acknowledged receiving my timely email cancellation. But I also quickly and timely mailed to them (locally) a printout of my cancellation email, constituting a cancellation by mail. They did not acknowledge receipt of the mailing, and they later charged my credit card $52 ignoring the timely cancellation. So I recommend not trusting this company, expect unreasonable practices, and make any cancellation in person and demand written acknowledgment.

Great new location. The gym is very clean, organized, spacious, and full of new machines. I travel around the country quite a lot and this is hands down the best planet fitness I’ve been to.

I love this planet fitness. Especially their new hours. They're accommodating which is a huge plus. Plenty of stands to clean the machines after you're done using them.

Like everything so far only downside is the system for black card equipment is down sometimes. I couldn’t use the massage chairs twice and tanning bed once. Might downgrade if it continues.
