If someone threatens you at this location, Aaron the new manager requires you to record, or video the emergent threats, because their video may not have the audio portions of the incident audible. They will not take your report seriously, and say that a simple eyewitness report ,(your report) is not sufficient at the gym - when that gym lives off of the slogans "You Belong & Judgment Free Zone". PF appears to be more like the NO Accountability Zone!

The gym is always clean. And I understand on sundays they close at 7. However I was on the treadmill and almost finished with my cooldown. I timed it to be done at exactly 7. At 6:58 the lights were shut off with several people in the gym. I get it. Your closing you wanna go home. I just thought it was not only rude but dangerous. People on machines with their eyes needing to readjust and find their way out. To me just didn’t seem like the best way to close up shop for the day.

Not sure why this location has come to be one of the worst in town. Always packed with very little weights to use as people seem to not have the courtesy to place them back in place. More often then not the equipment is being reupholstered or repaired. Groups of people literally owning the machines that you would have to wait 20 minutes for a smith.
And I could keep going.... This is my closest location yet I much rather drive farther.

I've been a member of the gym for two or three years, my family is also enrolled there, and today I had a bad experience with the manager Taylor.Today I had to go to training with my brother and my brother took his 10 year old son and he was sitting in the lobby without causing any problems until we finished and she approached us well from there she was in the she spoke to us and began to complain to my brother about what card he had used to enter and I told him not to worry, I have Black Sol, he can also enter with me and then, as he couldn't do anything, he started with the boy. The boy was sitting without making any disturbance, he was under the supervision of me and his father.From there things started to escalate, the girl got upset Tyler and started complaining more loudly, my brother didn't want to argue with her anymore, he left and she got out of the desk to follow him to the middle of the gym to start complaining about the boy, about the policy that a child under 13 couldn't be there and we chose yes we understand for the next time with great pleasure and in fact we told the boy to go outside so we could finishFrom there, obviously, everyone realized the argument because she didn't have the tact to talk to us in another way. That's what bothers me, that's what offends me and I think this shouldn't happen in an establishment like this. They should have better trained their staff to have a conversation like professional people and if not, those people shouldn't be here.

This is my favorite gym to work out at when I'm on the west side HANDS DOWN. Always clean and well stocked..love the big windows. I always get great service and a friendly smile from Taylor!! There are other options but why go somewhere else when I'm treated with such appreciation! Love this gym!!!

Excellent location. All the equipment seems to be working, the gym is well stocked and very clean, and the staff are extremely kind and professional. The employee Aaron in particular went above and beyond in customer service, and was very knowledgeable about the red light therapy they offer, as well as the massage chairs.

Went to excersise after work and arrived in my work clothes. Got turned away at the door due to dress code, since I was wearing my polished boots and jeans (again, just got off work). I explained that I just got off work, but these people treated me like filth. Not "judgement free" at all, and pretty intolerant of people just trying to balance health and work. I've never been turned away from a gym looking exactly as I did today. While I was polite, I'll likely cancel my membership if I can't come as I am.

The payment system this company uses is horrible. Once a payment method is used and rejected for whatever reason, your system will refuse to run it again. A prompt along the lines of "hard decline already issued" is displayed and it will refuse to run the payment. I try the app, clerk tries running card on file and I tried inserting card just to be refused every way. $20 is a joke for you people to have such extreme measures on your payment system. If you are going to refuse cash payments at least invest money into a decent payment system. Your clerk Kiana also refused me entry, you lost a customer today and earned yourself this review.

Alejandro is an amazing worker!! I always receive great customer service from him every time I walk into this planet I always get greeted by him with a big smile! Makes me feel very welcome. You can tell He loves his job and appreciates the customers from planet! not only that, but he’s always making sure that all the machines and gym is clean. Every time I come into this, Gym I know that they always have the cleaning solution and paper towels on stock and I don’t have to worry about not finding any to clean the machines because they always have them stocked up! Planet Fitness. The land of double standards. The first sign you see when you walk in says “no string tank tops,” but there’s always at least one girl in a spaghetti strap sport bra and I’ve even seen a t-shirt reading “liberals suck!” In the judgement free zone!!

I’ll still come here out of convenience, it’s a clean gym with ample machinery. It’s inconvenient that they don’t have barbells.

I’m all for working out in sport bras, I just think it’s time for Planet Fitness to undergo an identity change. Bring back barbells. Stop shaming people who value fitness.

Pretty upset that I canceled on October 20th bc I really never used the membership. Staff did not process my cancelation and I got charged the following month. I went to talk to the manager who said they would only be able to process one month since their system didn't work. Turns out to my surprise , when I called today to see what was the process for my refund. I was informed that since I decided to cancel and not freeze the account , they were not going to approve my refund... great way to lose a customer 🙄.
Next time I decide to enroll into a gym I will skip planet even if I have to drive further or pay a bit more.

I’ve been to a few, “Planet Fitness” gyms and this one gets a the rare 5 star! I was in El Paso for a few weeks and needed a place to workout. The manager Juan and the staff were great! Very welcoming and willing to assist! The members are respectful and mature unlike other, “Planet Fitness” gyms. Many of them spray down machines and benches after use! If I get sent down to El Paso again, I’m definitely coming back to this gym. Keep up the good work guys!!!

I am extremely disappointed with planet fitness as a company. Being in the military, I have move around pretty often. I called my previous planet fitness gym around October 2020 to cancel due to the military not allowing me to attend gyms off of military posts. I was told I was able to cancel over the phone because they needed to verify my ID. I was able to physically go to the planet fitness I registered at today. I went in to cancel my membership and the only thing they asked me for was my phone number… No ID check at all. This simple reason is why I will never do business with this company again. I was refused cancellation of my membership for MONTHS for a crazy excuse.

I went to a PF store to cancel membership and they refused. Told me I signed up somewhere I never been before and had me call them. They then told me no I have to drive all the way there to cancel membership even though I'm the only one in the world with my legal name... anyways screw them again cause I just called my bank and did a stop payment so hah! Not so fast, shipmates. Actually - according to their website -
Startup Fee $1; Monthly Dues $10 ; Annual Fee $39. Add all that up for 12 months and it comes out to about $173.20 including tax. So why did they want to charge me $215.xx for the same exact thing? The answer IS - I don't know. And neither did the lady (staffer) who was advising me. She finally asked some guy at the counter and he said there was another $20 or so for something or other, I don't remember what. The staffer didn't know about that fee and it's certainly not listed on their website. Still doesn't add up to the $215 and change. AND! this cheaper plan is the only plan you can pay a year in advance for, and pay for with a credit card, according to the staffer. On the $22.99 plan you cannot pay a year in advance, or pay with a credit card. They will only debit your checking account on a monthly basis. Why are they so bent on taking it directly from a checking account? AND! what makes the difference if you pay by the month or by the year? AND! what does it actually cost to join? I think we can rule out one dollar. I don't trust any place that advertises one price and charges another. Especially if they have my credit card or bank account numbers. But that's just me. So, I wouldn't join even if it were free. Proceed with caution friends and neighbors.

Pros: Location, price. Cons: They close no later than 9 pm!!! Not very convenient!!! Not enough staff, I guess, because tonight there was trash strewn everywhere, the side panel of a piece of equipment was lying on the floor, all of the cleaning stations on the "leg" side of the gym had no paper towels. There's no enforcement at all for members hogging machines, so I had to go up to one of the many younger members who frequently spend 5-10 minutes between sets staring at their phones and ask them (nicely) to move along.
