Went this morning. 3 guys behind front desk, clearly just hanging out. One of them was playing “membership terminated” as a joke after people scanned in. Pretty mean if someone was financially insecure and might be concerned about something like that. Also, for 20+ minutes they were grouped together laughing and joking while some of the cleaning stations were out of material(including the one right by the front desk). I added one star as they finally repaired most of the broken machines.

One star do to cleanliness. I’ve seen clean gyms before and this one is not on the list. The showers are awful, bathroom stalls are a mess. Hair is everywhere (wet and dry) you see it in all the drains. It’s so hard to shower in peace, because someone else’s hair is everywhere. And this isn’t because I go after someone. I’ve been multiple days in a row and the same trash/dirt is there. From left behind items, bar soap residue, trash remaining the following days. This either means showers/bathrooms are being neglected or workers are lazy. People come to workout and shower for convenience. The customer service, machines, location, everything else is amazing. But the bathrooms/showers are horrible. I hope this review alerts the location by itself, but I will in a few weeks update with pictures later.

Gym is supposed to open at 7am on Saturdays and Sundays. It is 7:35 and it is still not open… very disappointing to waste 35 minutes of my morning waiting for my gym to open.

Priorities for a gym should be cleanliness, functional equipment and variety. While I wish PF wasn’t so heavy on machines and had free weights for squat, bench, incline, decline, dead lift, this gym works and is local. I’m rating 3/5 because the lack of attention to cleanliness. I go 4 days a week and the employees are usually just at the front talking/goofing around while the dust is all around and men’s locker room needs attention. They need to make rounds hourly to check stock and cleanliness. There is a girl that works there and she’s usually pretty good but I can’t speak for women’s locker room. Please mop, sweep, vacuum, more often. Also, why is there a microwave at the front desk smelling up the entire gym when an employee nukes their meal? I feel like 6 months ago or more this place was run differently. More attentive employees and cleaner.

Love the actual hot showers. Many PF I visit the water doesn't actually get hot but that is not the case here. I was hoping to use a hydro massage table however the attendant wasn't around. I looked around and waited at the counter a few minutes but they never came back so I left. They were there when I initially arrived and greeted me.

My favorite gym of all time. Place is always clean, equipment is in good order, never gets too hot or crowded.
What really makes this gym the best is the staff! From Daniel (GM) to Daylen and everyone there, I can say that I always feel at home every time I come in. If anyone from corporate is reading this, I hope everyone at this location receives a large raise. The team here is the model of how to run a gym perfectly.

The app is useful for checking crowd levels and makes check-in easy with a QR code. The equipment is clean, in good condition, and appears relatively new. I brought my teenage son, and we had a good experience without dealing with crowds or attitude. The hydro massage chairs are a nice bonus.

Just to Clarify, I would strongly recommend Planet Fitness on FM 407 in Highland Village. I would also discourage anyone from considering Planet Fitness on Loop 288 in Denton. That location is so poorly managed. These 2 clubs are polar opposites. Highland Village does a great job!

Quite a few broken down cardio equipment and too many of the same machines that no one uses. Please replace unused elliptical machines for stationary bikes please. Bikes always seem to be under maintenance and the ones working are always in use when I show up.

Gym is pretty clean and the staff is friendly so that's the only reason why I haven't switched to a different one.

I mainly use PF for travel - shower and "it's just there if I need it" all across the country, and often at all hours. I'm trying to start working out too. So yesterday I went with the intention of doing an hour on the treadmill, but noticed after 40 minutes or so that I was the only one left. So... it was after closing. The guy at the front was really sweet about my Sunday evening faux pas. I've made a mental note that Sunday evening is 7 pm! The all- inclusive friendly human vibe at PF is pretty neat.

Unfortunately, this is the first time I’ve experienced a PF staff member unable to fulfill a request. The gentleman with the face piercing on the clock at 4:00 am on 4/16/25 was not in sight for the 40 mins I was here, and the tenure of other guests. After calling twice to locate him, he appears at the desk very incoherent to me asking to use the hydro bed and the questions I had in regards to if he was okay because he kept shuttering. Chris was the representative I talked to explaining my concerns for his health first, asking for someone to come check on him, and then his inability to perform his job duties. I ended up leaving when he mistakenly asked for $3 because he forgot I wanted the hydro bed and was struggling to assign it in the computer. On a positive note, he did tell me to have a good night.

I’d like to start off by saying that I’ve been a member since 2018. I have gone to different locations and have had different experiences. I’ve never had a complaint or felt the need to leave one. However, I’m a tad upset with my experience today. As we all know, we should be sharing machines and that is fine with me. What I’m not okay with is being bullied into doing so while I’m in the middle of a set. I asked a team member for some help and he suggested I move to a different machine and I kindly stated that I was using the machine I was on, for a reason and that I had been in a middle of a set when someone forced me off the machine. I don’t feel like I should have to be bullied into moving elsewhere when that’s the only machine available for the sets I was working on and shouldn’t have to be embarrassed by staff when I ask them for help on the matter. I asked for footage to be pulled up so it can be proven that I had been on this machine first and was in the middle of my sets but I was told my issue was small and if I had that much of an issue, I could go to a different facility. While dealing with this, I was kind enough to keep my composure. I prefer to not be talked down to or have my matters minimized because someone isn’t fully understanding. I truly hope that I can speak with someone about this matter so I can have a civil resolution.

I really wanted to like this gym. The staff is friendly, the facilities are very good, when they work. But I've never seen a more apathetic management. Machines break and stay broken for weeks. The same is true for locker room facilities. I, and several other members, voiced concerns over a lack of hot water in the showers. TWO WEEKS LATER, still no hot water. Sorry, that's a deal breaker for me.

What's worse, when I went to cancel my membership, the young man that helped me do so was stunned that the hot water still wasn't working; he was under the impression it had been fixed. So not only was management apathetic to customer service and concern, they apparently aren't honest or clear with their employees.

Very sad state of affairs, and very sorry I had to cancel my membership.

Thought I liked this gym, it’s conveniently close to my house. I like to workout early and if the hours says “7am” it should be 7am. I just waited 30 minutes for them to unlock the doors and no one ever came. 5 other people around me drove off and it was 20 minutes after 7am and still wasn’t open. Some of us have a schedule we go by and it’s ridiculous not being able to get a workout in during open gym hours. I’ll be looking to go elsewhere.

I have been coming here several months now,and have been blown away at how clean it was compared to the other locations . Today i go,and it is Absolutely disgusting. The women's locker room is horrible ,i don't think its been cleaned all week, plus soap dispenser's are empty. I wanted to say something when i left, but no one at desk. Looks like only 1 person working .
I think ill be looking for new location .

The equipment (weight machines, stair climbers, treadmills, bikes) at this gym are the lowest-tier as compared with almost any other PF gym I've visited. Compared with almost all other PF site, the seats are cheap and uncomfortable, and machines lack adjustments to truly customize fit. (Compare with machines at S. Denton PF gym.) In general, this PF site is nice - pleasant staff and everything is very clean.

The staff at the Planet Fitness Highland Village, TX are extremely friendly and helpful. I never feel pressured, rushed, or judged. I never have someone standing over me waiting for the machine I am on or telling me how they think I should using it. I really like the new app that lets me see how busy the gym is at different times of the day. I may also scan the QR code on the machine I am using and it will show me how to use it. I have been a member of various gyms over my lifetime and one of the reasons I have stuck with Planet Fitness is because I do not feel intimidated when I am working out. There are always a variety of other people there working out. You have some younger, older, more slender. more overweight, than myself and I know we are all doing what we can to be more healthy or achieve our own fitness goals.

If i could give this facility less than one star I would. I joined the club about a week ago. I was super excited because they offered classes that fit my schedule. I signed up for a class online and went to the club. When I arrived they said that they did not offer a class at the time I had signed up for. The employee stated that there was a "gliche" in the computer system. Later that day, I called and asked for my $30.12 back due to the fact that the classes that I thought would fit into my schedule are not even offered. They are however listed on the club's website for members to participate in. If I knew the classes listed on their website were not actually available then I would have not joined the club. I asked Beverly if she thought this was false advertisement and her response was that she did not. Long story short, they would not give me money back. If they had, it would have gone a long way with me because I would have rejoined in July when my schedule changes. What a huge disappointment!!!
