i went to planet fitness tuesday the 12th at 9pm with my friend and boyfriend. after our workout we waited infront of the desk for a few MINUTES while the girl was busy turned around and while the tall skinny lightskin guy was just staring at us. eventually my friend got fed up with waiting so she asked him to help us with unlocking the hydro beds. and with the WORST attitude he rolls his eyes, shakes his head yes, and walks 2 steps away to press a screen. this isn’t the first time hes been rude to people i know but it was my first time seeing it over wanting to use the hydro beds.

When I approached the desk to scan in I wasn’t greeted like I normally am at any Planet Fitness. I even initiated talk first by smiling and saying Hi when I walked up. And I was ignored and just stared at. Which I felt was rude. When someone greets you, you greet them back. I then proceeded to the machine I wanted to workout on. As I was working out the same person looked at me in a way as if I shouldn’t be there and judged me. Their statement is a judgement FREE zone. But it seems as though the workers aren’t living up to that. If the workers are judging the people coming in to workout, that’s a problem. A big one. I believe his name is Julian. Having someone like this will only drive away people. Hopefully this changes.

Suspicious Behavior:

I notice an older man dress in black tank top and shorts approaching young-adolescent looking group of girls. What stood out to me is that he wasn’t even working out, his sort of just waiting around for adolescence girls to come by. He did this to two group. Both left( they were visibly uncomfortable) he kept staring at them after talking to them.

I went and complained to the front desk where they told me that they had gotten similar complaints about him and that he worked as an instructor there previously.I never saw him approach older people.

I think thatPlanet Fitness should really consider kicking out people that constantly approach teens, especially this months where they have free or cheap gym for teens. The front desk told me that I could file a formal survey with the manager,the 20 bc, he was out.
I just think that we as adults should not let inappropriate interaction between teens and adults happen.

They should have some signs that let people know to learn to respect people and wait for their turn to go do another exercise or something and then return to use the equipment, many people wait and look at you to see if you are going to finish or ask you how much longer it will take you, it is too uncomfortable that they are rushing you and the people in charge at the reception never help if a problem happens in the gym. Recently something happened to me with a man there who was arguing with me because I told him that i was not going to finish yet ussing the machine, he got upset and started saying things to me. I went to tell the person in the front desk what happened and he didn't. did nothing about it, plus lots of people specially now that gym is free for teens are wearing sandals inside the gym and inappropriate clothes this gym is like a circus .

I will never come back!
I had canceled my membership months ago. I got charged twice for a club membership fee when I had it canceled months ago. Makes no sense right. I went to a location in person and sign E documents that's it's done. The gentleman helped me said I was good to go. And this was before they even offered online cancelation. I called to help dispute this situation no help what so ever. They are saying there no trace of me even attempting to cancel. But I went physically in to the location to cancel it. This is how planet fitness treat people? Stealing from people who show support of their gyms. Not worth the hassle. I will never recommend planet fitness to anyone ever again.

It is very hot in the hollister planet fitness gym the AC is not working right. Doesn't even feels like it blows air. Been going multiple times within past 2 months and same problem hasn't been fix. Sent email to this location, have called and complain inside the gym to staff about the issue and still hasn't been resolved. When it first open up it wasn't like that. Pretty nice spot, not too much pressure since there’s never really a lot of people (I go early in the morning.) Everyone at the front desk is fun, I’m a regular so you get to laugh with them once they recognize you. Shout out to the massage chairs. I love this gym, and the overnight guy (Alberto) keeps it so clean. Not taking away from the above review, Planet Fitness should invest more in a reliable staff. Coming to workout, early in the morning is always a gamble. Online it says open, but when you travel to the actual location, there are numerous individuals waiting outside. This can be for hours.

I can not express how much I enjoy coming here. It's great for my mental health to have access to a gym, and the staff is just welcoming and so makes the self-love journey that much easier. In the short amount of time I've been here, I've seen the staff handle (gracefully, might I add) difficult customers, and I'm talking people that are so full of themselves and cannot fathom the idea of things being bigger than them, I can only imagine they'd have enough time to write a negative review that would surely help them feel better about themselves because things didnt go their way. I was among the first members when this Planet Fitness location opened so I have a point of reference as to how the atmosphere and quality of service has declined. I let my membership lapse due to health reasons but rejoined when I was able to do so. What a difference a year made!

This location is afflicted with unusually high staff turnover, always with the caliber of new employee worse than the staff it replaces. It seems like the only criteria to get a job at this gym is to be able to stand upright and breathe silently with one's mouth closed.

The front desk staff was self-involved (most were busily engaged in conversations amongst themselves or hunched individually over their smartphones) to give only bare acknowledgement when a member arrived. Unfortunately, the black front desk staff members were among the worst: surly, confrontational, and ignorant of their gym policies and member's contractual details (which are readily available if they knew how to use the computer system) but that would involve reading comprehension and computer literacy.

To be fair, the staff does seem to make an effort to keep the place tidy. The cleanliness of the men's changing room, however, can be hit or miss.

I couldn't wait until I could cancel my membership never to return.

I was more than willing to work with the staff on implementing the policies in place so that we the members can enjoy our work. However after a few weeks all the staff isn't on the same page.
