Hats off to Roxanne who was working this past Sunday 10/5/25. I loved her passion for the gym and the time she took to help me understand and navigate using the PF App. She also gave many tips for healthy living and she made using the BF spa much easier than when I come in mornings .

She is a real gem. I do like the gym and it's amenities.. just joined 3rd week of September after a decade long hiatus fm being a member with any gym (Ballys, Dynamic Fitness, Blast Fitness which ALL 2 once was the brand gym In the Same Space here on N Shepherd where Planet Fitness is now.

I think I will be a lifelong member and visit other locations that have more amenities like the sauna lounge that Roxanne explained to me was a greater plus for recovery. I'm a 20yr Massage Therapist and I Love Relax, Relief and Recovery time 😍💯👌‼️

BLACK MOLD ALERT!! There is a serious black mold issue in the hydro massage area. It’s been this way for at least the few months I’ve been a black card member. I specifically upgraded to be a black card member to use the massage beds and it smells SO badly and the mold is now creeping down from the ceiling and air vents to the WALLS. It’s very obvious and I’m surprised the owner of this location isn’t doing anything about it. See my pics! I advise against joining this gym due to the disrespectful behavior of its employees. They may openly discuss you in front of you, and even if you ask them to stop, they continue. If you react physically, you risk being expelled, while the employee faces no consequences. Be cautious if considering Planet Fitness, as they seem to lack control over their staff. These is the two employees I fought with and this still working there. They will talk about you in your face they don't care if they know you are not. They had the nerve to talk about my daughter who has a disability.

8/4/25 | Unsafe Experience - No Action Taken by Staff. BE CAREFUL COMING HERE AFTER 7:30PM!!!

I’ve never felt so unsafe and threatened for my life at a gym. A man followed me and my friend around the gym after we told him we weren’t interested. I told him I had a husband, and he still approached with weights in his hands in an aggressive manner while we pasted away out of fear.

We went to the front desk for help and told the employee we were being harassed. Not only did she refuse to call 911 and tell me she wasn’t going to do that. When we asked-she actually let the man come behind the counter, saying “he just wanted to get his point across.”

How is this okay? We felt completely unsupported, unsafe, and disrespected. No woman should have to feel like they might get hurt at the gym and be told “you can call the police yourself” when asking for help. None the less feel like they need to carry inside of a gym!!!

If you value safety, I recommend avoiding this location until they train their staff on basic security and harassment protocol.

Not only that the male staff on duty during this pm shift told the guy to have a great day. After the harassment situation and police were called. As other male customers had to stand around and tell the creep to move away!!!! AND HE WOULD’NT. THE STAFF DID NOTHING BUT NEGLECT TO CALL FOR HELP AND LOOK AT US AS IF WE WERE ATTACKING HER. You would think they would at least tell him to leave after seeing the situation. PURE NEGLIGENCE AND DISREGARD FOR OUR SAFETY.

If I would have acted a fool and knocked off everything from the shelves I wonder how long it would have taken for them to take action and call 911.

If I could give 0 stars I would for management (Chidi). Been going there for a while clean facility nice staff members, but the manager Chidi was clearly hired from a parking lot with no management skills he’s very rude, and disrespectful. I observed him in the past walking with a backpack vacuum cleaning and wiping all around and over people working out. No excuse me, or nothing. My issue was being handled professionally and well by Alex. The way Chidi (THE MANAGER) intervened with no introduction was totally unacceptable. I only knew his name cause I asked. he boastfully and proudly stated his position when I asked for corporate number he stated “Planet Fitness doesn’t have a corporate” but turned around and said in a Sassy tone “Google it”. I was also told by him I would be “Thrown Out”. I wasn’t hostile, aggressive, rude non of the above when all I was trying to do was get an understanding about some shoes that my daughter has been wearing several times. I know there are others that encountered him, but are scared to speak up!! BEWARE OF HIM!!!! Waiting on a response from higher up now!!!

Extremely disappointed with this location. (3936 N Shepherd Dr) It’s only 3 minutes from my house, but after three visits and three cold showers, I’ve given up. I reported the issue on day one and was told it would be passed to the manager. Day two, still cold, no call back after I left my info. Day three, I was told the manager “checked and said it was fine.” I showered again—still cold. Clearly, my experience doesn’t matter here. I plan to drive to another Planet Fitness just to get hot water. Completely unacceptable!!

If you’re a woman don’t come here unless you like to feel unsafe and stared at by creeps. Week after week I am being followed and intentionally stared at the entire time I workout specifically by 1 person, have complained to management and they don’t do anything about it. One of the workers at the front seemed very empathetic but when she asked me to explain the situation to the assistant manager, she would not even look me in the eyes even though I already felt uncomfortable speaking to her about this. It’s been a few weeks and nothing has changed- I felt brushed off from the beginning and due to no change in this man’s behavior, either he was not confronted or he doesn’t care, but either way it is apparent that they do not take this situation seriously.

I actually love coming here. My 4 stars is because of what I experienced in the women’s locker bathroom area. I went to weigh myself on the manual scale, (big old school one) you see when going into the bathroom area of the locker room, and a few baby German roaches came out of the part you move to set the scale. I had lost my job. I'd called, showed them my termination letter,spoke with the manager, and wrote a letter to cancel my membership. They kept charging my account which put my account in a negative. I had no money, while looking for work. I had to pawn my belongings and paid off that negative and close my account, in order for them to stop taking monthly payments out. Horrible company!

I literally just got off the phone with one of the representative that’s works at the actual place here on Shepherd. 2/16/2025 @ 5:18PM I wanted to get services with you guys and this representative was very rude. Did not pay attention to a word I said, therefore, she didn’t know what I even wanted and when I explained myself again, she interrupted me. If you look at a good deal. I think planet fitness has that. You can get a good workout and then go and take a shower. Or enjoy some of their massage machines the bed and the chair we're back. I think for the price that you pay it is very very reasonable. It's within distance of only four miles.. The guys and girls that work there. They're very nice and helpful. The gym is pretty clean but it's like anything else. Sometimes people working out on the machines. Don't put things back up or don't clean the sweat off the backing or the seat of the equipment.. That doesn't happen too often. I think it's kept pretty clean. Considering some members not being clean. The employees there are cleaning the machines all the time. There's dust that collects on the machine.

As of today this is a new review for planet fitness.
They will charge you for a $15 late fee even if your bill is paid and drafted on time by them. Twice they have charged me for a late fee when they have already pulled their monthly fee. My bank has fought it once and refunded my money. And yet again here we go another charge. They say there is nothing that they can do at the location. They refuse to give back the late fee charge. And say there isn't a number to call their corporate office about the charges.

My issue with this location is the many homeless people hanging around ALL THE TIME! try it, go and you will see several homeless people just hanging out at the lobby, charging their phones, sleeping in the locker rooms, stinking the whole place up and staring at you when you are in the locker room storing your things. I am providing this review a one-star rating due to two unfortunate experiences with Eisha at this establishment. Subsequently, I canceled my membership, and my family members and I have now all joined LA Fitness.

On two occasions, we encountered disrespectful behavior. During our most recent visit, Eisha informed us that guests of black card members could use the massage chair as part of a trial service. However, she abruptly turned off the chair in the middle of the session, citing a policy issue she refused to clarify. Additionally, while she wished other guests a good evening as they left, she did not extend the same courtesy to us, despite our silence and decision to leave without argument.

The first negative experience occurred when I took my uncle to the facility. Given these incidents, I have decided never to return to Planet Fitness, especially as we have not faced similar issues at LA Fitness.

I urge Planet Fitness corporate to investigate this matter thoroughly. I am available for any questions they may have and encourage them to review the security footage at the guest desk for further context regarding the events of September 26, 2024, after 10 PM.

My experience at Garden Oaks has been nothing short of outstanding. The staff is courteous welcoming and accommodating. The gym is clean and pristine always . The front desk staff are very rude and look and sound absolutely lifeless like they have the worst job ever. I tried to use a tanning bed here today and the guy got off his phone long enough to tell me what room but when I got back there I realized the bed was completely dirty. Owner of this Gym. A good amount of machines are broken. When will they be fixed????? It’s outrageous now that only gym machines equipment are down, but also the refill bottle water dispenser. No, we shouldn’t have the only option to buy a cold water bottle from the front, or get stuck drinking water from the faucet. Do better! Also, the light of the parking lot is dark as hell. I know you don’t manage that, but talk to whomever your rental lease is with. It’s not safe for us having to use our phone flashlights to be able to see outside past sundown, to avoid either getting run over by cars coming into the lot, lighting our paths to be able to see, or not get mugged by the tons of people who seem now to be loitering around.

Honestly Planet fitness isn’t that bad but this location is horrible. Staff is rude, they speak to you like your beneath them, like this is they’re gym and your lucky to be here. Secondly the equipment is always broken… if it took a week or so to repair it wouldn’t be a big deal but these machines have been down for months, it’s really a joke. I’ve done the math, LA fitness is a little more costly but staff is nicer and they have a better selection of machines, sauna, pool, etc. Save yourself the hassle and go with LA. Thanks for showing me what I don’t want in a gym 😊

I just joined this gym because it is close to my house, I paid for the VIP package and the next week they canceled my account, and they told me that the manager was in a meeting and they couldn't help me, avoid the pain of going, LA fitness can be more expensive but it has better service and they don't scam you like that, I upload a photo with proof that I went

Customer service at this location goes through way to many changes in their staff members. They need to learn how to hire people that actually have Customer service experience. Other then dealing with rude people in the front desk. I enjoy coming to this gym.
