crooks. I cancelled my membership two months ago beginning of August 2025, but I was still charged in September and October to the wrong card I may add so I wasn't prepared for the charge and both transactions have a late fee added. Between both charges they have stollen 84.22 from my account. I called the "manager" on duty who basically called me a liar. She said that her system showed I was in there two days prior to calling. I will now have to take more time out of my day to try and get this corrected..... it won't let me respond to the reply the response to team added, but I have already sent an email with no response further proving the lack of customer care. The responses they put on these reviews are just to try and save face.

They have a lot of machines to work on every part of the body. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because they don't have any fitness trainers which would be beneficial to beginners. I've never been to a gym before a
couple weeks ago and I didn't know how to start or how the machines work or how many repatitions to do. So it's really easy for a person to get hurt.

Any planet fitness that closes at 7pm anytime should be shutdown. They advertise as if they are for the regular person. The regular person needs flexibility in gym schedule. Not a gym that shuts down before people can actually get there to work out! Just absolutely disgusting. If you own a planet fitness, but dont want to provide a place for regular people to workout, you should just sell out to a real person who understands real people have to work.

At age 70 I wasn't sure it would be the place for me, but after my first visit I felt comfortable and noticed many people there who were in my age bracket getting along well on all the equipment. I go three times per week and always feel better and energized after my hour long workout. Ending my visit with a massage on the Hydrobed is wonderful!

I’ve been coming to the Planet Fitness in Lufkin for a while now, and I have to say it’s one of the cleanest, most welcoming gyms I’ve ever been to. The atmosphere is always positive, and the equipment is well-maintained.

What really sets this location apart, though, is the staff—especially Ashley. She goes above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and valued. Whether it’s greeting you with a genuine smile, keeping the place spotless, or being available to answer questions, Ashley brings an incredible level of energy and professionalism to the gym. You can tell she truly cares about the members.

It’s rare to find someone so friendly and dedicated in a customer service role. Ashley is a big part of why I look forward to my workouts. Give that woman a raise!

Ive called this planet fitness home the last couple of months. Traveling around the country ive visited plenty of planets and this one ranks as of the tops. Its clean, people are respectful, and they have eveything needed for a great work out. Only downside. During the summer, teenagers are free, so expect the high school and kids lounging at machines.

I can’t say enough great things about the Planet Fitness in Lufkin! From the moment you walk in, the staff is super friendly, welcoming, and professional. They make you feel right at home and are always ready to help if you need anything.

The gym itself is extremely clean and well-organized, with plenty of machines and equipment to go around, even during busier hours. I’ve never had to wait long for anything, and everything is well maintained and in great working order.

The atmosphere is relaxed and truly “judgment free.” It’s perfect whether you’re just getting started or have been working out for years. The Black Card perks like the massage chairs and tanning beds are a big bonus too.

Also love that they’re open 24/7, super convenient for anyone with a hectic schedule. Overall, the Lufkin location stands out for its cleanliness, kindness, and consistent quality.

The Planet Fitness in Lufkin used to be fantastic when they first opened and the people were so friendly. I don’t know if they changed management over the years, but the staff now is subpar with the exception of a few. I really only go there to tan but the tanning beds are rarely ever cleaned. Even when they say they’re clean, they are not. The pictures were taken about a month apart. The first picture I actually had to use two wipes to get the bed clean.

Cons: More roof leaks opening up so there's buckets around often, machines are breaking here and there for a while, and it's sometimes hard to get a workout in between 5-7 because people just sit on their phone on machines for long periods. Plus one of the hydrobeds has been down for months. You pay for what you get.

Pros: Friendly staff, lots of machines to make use of so if the one you one is busy, there's other options. Staff help keep it clean and wipe down after rude guests who don't wipe after themselves.

Went to Planet Fitness in Lufkin did total body Fitness locked and pushed door closed, unknowingly to me you have to really ensure it is closed at the top of the door. Upon exiting the machine and getting half my close back on realized that the door was cracked open. So embarrassed!!! Please make sure all doors are operating efficiently. The door was locked but opened???

The best perfectly interior design. The men's & women's lockers room is perfect, lots of lockers. Room is designed with W shape lockers placings, with huge 2 showers (you can fit 2 humans in it. Lol..) and 1 handicap shower. The tile works in the showers are awesome with checkerboard metal+frosted glass tile and planet fitness logo in the center.
We appreciate the luxury designs so much. With my architectural background and our estimators occupations, these things catch our eyes.. lol..
