Although White rock is my home location I wanted to leave a review for this location I love the fact that they are 24/7 , makes it convenient to still meet my 4am workout session on the weekends when my home location is closed until 7am on Saturdays & Sunday !!!! staff is nice always keeping busy and keeps the place clean , I like the fact that they have much more equipment and more weight machines that works more muscle groups which makes for a overall more rewarding workout!!! I got relocated for work, called to cancel my membership being as there is no planet fitness where i am located. called may 13th and was told i needed to write a letter and mail it in so that they could cancel my membership. Did just that and no cancelation. called again june 16th and was told the same thing. send a letter being that they did not recieve the first one. Again here we are july 28th and im still being charged for a membership i can not use. called customer service, he said the cancelation can now be done online which took affect in may. i was never informed that this was an option. so i attempted the online cancelation and now they want to charge me another $58 cancelation fee (buyout) which i was never informed of, i was told there was no cancelation fee (cancel anytime) as they adversite. which is wrong. Customer service rep said all he could do is transfer me to the location and speak with a manager as that manager is the only one that can override any fees or make any changes. i told him i dont care for a refund just want the memebership canceled. So he went on and connected me to the location and i was placed on hold for 18 minutes and 36 seconds with no one coming to the phone, customer service rep just said "oh maybe she is getting the manager, but yall are connected". at 18 minutes of listening to comeone talk to other people in the background i get a automated "on a scale from 0 to 10, 0 being very unlikely, how likely are you to recommend planet fitness to others" i said 0 and even pressed 0. the same automated message came on another 4 times without accepting my response. Definatly would not recommend Planet Fitness to anyone and they are do not do honest business.

EDIT:Yet again. Half of the leg equipment is OUT OF SERVICE. It's been this way for over a month with one of the leg extension machines. Asked for the manager and he's never here. PF responded to my previous review, did as they suggested, here we are months later. They make enough money to fix equipment, the gym is always packed, so not sure why they don't find the urgency to fix things. Definitely opened another membership at a different gym because of this.

I've been coming here for years and slowly but surely they've stopped taking care of the equipment like they use to back when they first opened this location up. It takes them MONTHS to fix broken equipment now. Other than that, I'd say this is a decent location. It does get packed after normal business hours but it's expected.

I like the location and the young men that work there. They always greet me and seem to want to be of help. The young ladies, on the other hand, are not so friendly or personable. It was them who initially gave me a hard time for an extra coin on the massage chair. I have a routine and that includes the massage chair first. Somehow the men catch on and would even have my coins ready sometimes but when the young lady, specifically with the short hair, acts like it’s her personal money and seems to be hesistant. I enjoy going to the gym but this location and a few of its employees, make it a little hard to be nice 😊 just my input. PS 3 coins should be okay if it’s not busy

I absolutely love this gym! I’m here about six days a week, and every time I walk in, I’m greeted with a warm welcome. Ely, Idalyn, and Jules always make me feel so appreciated! The newly updated equipment is top-notch, and the atmosphere is amazing. And the amenities? Unreal! Tanning and massages with the Black Card make it an incredible deal!

I visited this location yesterday and was disappointed with this location, this was the dirtiest gym I have been so far. The locker room in the bathroom smell like piss the sinks were very dirty the shower had so scum everywhere and some equipment was dirty as well. I think someone she paid a visit to the gym unannounced and see what's going on over there. Now because of that bad experience I don't think I'm going back to that particular location .

Music is ridiculously loud- can’t even listen to your own music because it’s blaring so loudly and drowns yours out. Some of the people who work the desk are outside or flirting with members more than they’re available. It’s nothing to stand there for 5-10 min before someone finally shows up.

EDITED TO ADD: Whoever is responding to these reviews should be sharing them with management. Management isn't around at night, which is when all of this stuff happens.

I went here yesterday morning for an early Saturday morning workout from 6 to 8 am with a friend. Someone broke into my truck and multiple other vehicles while inside the gym. I found out from talking to several other people this is a problem here. Beware, this shopping center has no security. Take a break and go check on your vehicle.

To PF, if the break-ins keep happening people will start to go somewhere else. Do something...

Rude Staff!
I was visiting this location with my mother at 6:30 am and as soon as I started to workout a young lady from the staff stopped my workout, She asked me to re-scan my card again and then she told me that my membership was from another city (which is true) I told her at the moment I enrolled (I got the basic membership) they told me I could use any location. When mom visits me, they don't say nothing to her when she uses my local Planet Fitness. In addition to that, she said that multiple locations only workd with black card (So either she is lying or they lied yo me when I enrolled) I even used it in Van Nuys, Ca with no issues! So she game me 3 options. Upgrade your membership, update your location or leave. I told her, "I leave". Thank you

Parking not adequate. There is no room to park. The equipment massage chairs just like the logo outside is ancient. They only give you 1 5minute coin per sit time to relax in old ancient chair. Planet Fitness is so much better than these big over priced, muscle head gyms. It's cleaner in planet fitness, showers are clean locker rooms are clean and the equipment is clean and always working. The only thing they are missing is the pool, sauna, and steam room. Overall you get the most bang for your buck here!

I came to Planet Fitness this evening at 6:03 pm and asked Yeny Galindo to speak with a manager. This is what she said her name was later in conversation. The manager name is supposed Adrian Salazar. She asked me what the reason was and I explained that it was regarding an unauthorized charge from Planet Fitness. I was informed by their billing department that the initial card used to set up my account was kept and used as a secondary method of payment when my monthly charge declined. She then walked to what I’m assuming was an office and came back stating he was in a meeting which started at 6:00 pm She was not polite but very nonchalant as though she did not care what my concern was. THIS IS A COMMON PRACTICE OF PLANET FITNESS! There is always a bait and switch and when you try to speak with management to cancel your membership… the manager is in some make believe meeting and will have to call you back. She asked if I wanted to leave my number for him to call me back but I declined. I asked for her name as well as the manager, hopefully this is the correct information. It’s the lack of customer service, clear avoidance tactics and lack of information given when requested. I need to cancel this membership and I wish I never subscribed again. Now I will have to try and come back during the day to see if he is available to cancel something I do not want anymore! This is how these types of companies thrive. No corporate complaint number was given just directed back to a manager that’s almost non existent! Disgusted!
I initially didn't not plan on cancelling my membership. I wanted to speak with someone about my card that was charged as a secondary form of payment. It was the same card I used to initiate the membership. I wanted to know why they charged this as a second form of payment. If they need a secondary form of payment, I need to add another card. The employee never allowed me to fully explain myself and the manager didn't attempt to do anything. I'm not writing a letter and sending it in. I want to cancel with someone face to face just like I spoke with someone face to face when I signed up for the membership. It's amazing how your company is providing all these follow responses but you can't speak with anyone to actually get something done!

At 5:30 pm on 12/27, I came back to Planet Fitness and got assistance from Angela and Adrian. They assisted me with changing my secondary method of payment and I plan on keeping my membership. Angela listened and had a willingness to help with Adrian assisting. Much appreciated!

At the Buckner (dollar tree) location, the manager, Leslie, and some of the crew, are very disrespectful. I had a problem with the manager Leslie, the manager said I was rude, I asked HR to check the cameras, Emily, (HR) didn't want to check them and my membership was terminated. Another manager, Gilberto, was involved and they protected their manager no matter she was rude and confrontational towards me. The only thing they had to do, was, check the cameras and give the customer the benefit of the doubt. I didn't use any gym not even once and they didn't want to give me my money back. Terrible experience! Maybe in a better location, Plano, Frisco, highland park, etc, they treat customers with respect. Not in this one.

You have a few people that hog the gym equipment at around 6 AM, but are overall polite and will move around if requested. There is usually a small crowd of around 25 people there at any given time, never too crowed. The staff on hand don't really interact, but there isn't really a need for them to do so. You're getting the basic Planet Fitness setup and that's it, if you need anything else check out a different gym.

Been having my membership for 2yrs now. Not happy that there are no trainers at this location but they advertise classes on the app. I took off work early to attend a class during the business hours shown available. Horrible customer service, system was “down” when i went in to cancel membership since you can’t do it online or over the phone. That resulted in them charging my card the annual fee. Even though i went in to cancel the first day their systems were back up and running. Train your staff to be professional with everybody, even if they are canceling. This guy was like a 3 year old that keeps asking “why?”. Why??? Because I have a free gym at work, why would I keep paying for a subpar gym that’s inconvenient? He knew about the systems being down and that I came in before that charge and still didn’t refund. Ridiculous.

This location is small and congested with people. Also, majority of the equipment was either old, rusted or broken; including the Sanitation stands.

I went to this location on 7/6/2023. Compared to my Home location this location is subpar. Majority of the equipment that was not used was out of service and there was not a sign that stated out of order.

Also, there were multiple workers at the desk just being on their phones when seeking assistance to use their Massage chair. Speaking of that when trying to use their massage chairs they can only so called be used in 5 minutes increments at this location, which is different from the other locations.

If this was the first Planet fitness that I would have visited, my experience would have made me join a different gym.

I'm updating my past review to a much more positive one. I started going to the gym again and I have to say the newer staff are much nicer and more friendly than the past guys who worked there. There's no judgement and they answer questions you have about the machines without an attitude. Very happy with the change and always remember that planet fitness labels itself as a judgement free zone and some of us expect it to be that way!!

The people who work here are extremely incompetent, starting with the manager, who is never in his position or is absent days and working hours, without justification, which brings discomfort to customers. The workers at the reception are not trained for the potion or the assigned work, since they do not know how to solve company problems, they waste your time, they charge more or insufficient money, they can tell you that they did something and it is not the true, causing this, waste of time, waste of money, and the cumbersome price of having to return again and again, to solve something as simple as closing a name. changing the only answer (I came back tomorrow) and gone three times and still, not only Iona caused the problem, they keep charging me money, then, openly told me that they had closed my name, come back tomorrow is the only answer you have, all this After paying the due cut, to cancel my membership, they still blind charging money and I don't have a visible solution
