The absolute best staff of any public establishment I've ever frequented. Would love to know the secret sauce to keep Stanleigh so friendly overnight. That being said; pro-tip: don't forget your soap. Only two out of six dispensers in the men's locker room have worked for weeks. Second peo-tip: if you need a hair dryer.... that's been broken for months.

This gym has rude and disrespectful employees. This morning they wouldn't let my son in with me. I have a Plus membership. This is the first time they've asked me how old he is, and the employee told me he can't be there. I've seen children much younger than mine using the machines. I canceled my membership. They charged me almost $63 and the employee refused to give me my receipt. I asked for the manager, but she wasn't there. She said she wouldn't come either. I demanded a receipt, and she started talking to a woman on speakerphone, asking her how to print the receipt. I could hear her using rude language toward me. How is it possible that you have that kind of people serving customers? These rude little employees don't know that gym members get their salaries, and they don't even know how to print a receipt. It took them about 20 minutes to finally give it to me. I'm so glad I canceled my membership. I won't be paying $27 a month for them to not let my guest in and the rude little employees.

If the guest's age is supposed to be 13, why did the employee tell me my son shouldn't be there?
When she asked, I replied, "He's 13."
This only confirms that they don't train their people to provide good service and to have a bad attitude toward anyone they want.

Gym is clean however it needs to be updated! Other locations have squat racks and other equipment. This one does not. Not to mention the massage chairs are out of order most of the time. That area is wasted space. Huge room for one tanning bed! They do not have cryo, infrared, or updated massage chairs like the other location do. The facility parking lot is dark at night. Not enough lights for customer safety. Other locations near by are much better.

The only reason to is not a five-star is that the last time they relocated the equipment, they put the treadmills way too close to each other, very uncomfortable and dangerous, because if you slide your hand on the handle your fingers can get stuck. Other than that, I love the atmosphere the employees in the early morning are so welcoming and they always greet you with a big smile.

I was traveling to visit family and wanted to ask questions about a guest/day pass. However, as soon as I came to the gym I was immediately disappointed by the lack of customer service I received. 😕 I got the impression the employee at the front didn't want to assist me or my mom that who was looking to join a gym. I hope this persons day gets better and they can great potential customers with a more positive energy in the future. We all have our hard days.

The gym has changed a lot has a lot of new and great equipment but night crew do not keep it clean weights are unorganized and all over the floor it’s like a scavenger hunt for weights. Trash is every where and trash cans are always completely full. Great gym for beginners. High in cardio equipment, sometimes you have to wait on equipment. Very little amenities. Staff is friendly!

After about a month of driving to this location and hearing about the crime in the area and lack of security around the premises, lack of security cameras over the parking lot...it has happed to us. Parked on the side of the building across from the old car wash, and behind the restaurant next to the gym. My truck was vandalized, driver side windows was broken and a firearm along with other personal belongings were stolen. The gym staff has no cameras on this side of the building, also mentioned that the gym manager has also suffered vandalism. Police were called were extremely slow to show up. Very disappointed to have to worry about crime to your automobiles while you visit Planet Fitness. I will drop my rating for lack of security in their parking areas.

Great selection of equipment, but like most or maybe every PF location I've been to, they have an unnecessary over-abundance of cardio equipment. Each time I've been, I haven't seen more than a quarter of this equipment being used (even during peak hours), while the weight training areas are crowded. Additionally, they didn't utilize all the space they have in a good way at all. They have 4 side rooms and 3 of them really could be condensed into one, so that they could place more weight training equipment in two of them. Lastly, the men's bathroom is gross and I've felt uncomfortable every time I've gone in.

If I could give you guys a zero, I would! I am very disappointed in the false advertising! Your brochure came in the mail saying sign up for $1, and that you guys are coming to Forney, TX soon. I only signed up in good faith that it is $1 for now, and that my monthly payment wouldn't start until April whenever you guys open in Forney! I have received an email saying you guys are going to take a monthly payment of $24.99 plus tax on the 17th! That's in 5 days! I enjoy going but now with Covid I'm more cautious. Some days when I go it looks like it hasn't been cleaned and they've been out of hand sanitizer. Social distancing is practiced and they're app is very helpful.

05/28/2022-They need to do better about their cleaning and the mats definitely need to be replaced.

01/03/2023- I'm super excited to see the new upgraded equipment and they also replaced the mats. 👍

02/20/2023-The staff is polite and welcoming. I love the new equipment. I usually check the app's Crowd Meter to see if there busy. They do have training sessions, but they don't have a trainer right now👍👍

Place is alright overall. Needs improvement with the locker rooms: the showers and sinks aren't regularly cleaned and restocked with soap like they should be. I've had to ask on a couple of occasions for soap for the showers. 11/30/24 there was a bunch of hair in a couple of the showers, came back 24 hours later and it was still there. The sink countertop is always covered in water puddles.

Decided to cancel membership due to issues with billing and facility. I don't attend this gym on a regular basis because I have other memberships (Pilates) and use this occasionally as suplementation.

I joined back in May and was informed now in September my account & routing number were entered incorrectly back in May, so I have been charged late fees every month on my second method of payment in the system. I let the person at the desk know I haven't been notified of any issues with my account no emails, texts, phone calls, or even being notified by the desk when I check in. The contract even mentions

"Planet Fitness and PF Corporate may contact via telephone, email, text message or other means from time to time for the purpose of notifying you of issues related to your membership or billing information, for offers that may be of interest to you, or for automatic payment processing issues. By providing us
with your contact information and signing this agreement, you give your prior express written consent to receive, at any address or phone number provided to us"

They told me they don't notify nor does the system send out automatic emails about over due account balances, because ""you can just check the app" well after cancelling today I looked through the app and NO information about billing statement's is there. So maybe she was confused? I tried to look into it more, by logging into the website and it won't let me log in to that part.

For the majority of my visits staff is either not at the desk or sitting on the backwall desk on their cell phones. Its a shame maybe if the staff paid more attention to the computer during check in this could of been solved sooner. This is also a concern because how many people are using the facility that shouldn't be?

This brings me to my next point, I loved the idea of bringing a buddy (per my membership), BUT this means other people bring buddies and it is VERY crowded. Goodluck ever getting a chance at the squat rack. I waited a solid 45 minutes for one and still didn't get to use it. I also don't think the "crowd meter in the app" does not take "buddies" into consideration. I have pulled into the parking lot with the crowd meter at 2 and there would be no parking left, ultimately causing me to leave before I even go in.

TIPS for management to prevent issues like this from happening.

1. when signing up and information is incorrect it should NOT let you continue with sign up.

2. Automatic email when payments are late or even a notification of a late fee. They send plenty emails about offers, bringing a buddy, job opportunities, ect. It seems like it would simple for the system to implement this since it already sends out pointless emails.

3. Staff that is actively at the desk and monitoring the check in process.

First of all this is very close to my house,infact i can walk to this place, have been regularly going to this gym now for 4 months, noticed equipment breaking down and not being repaired, as of this date there has been 5 equipment breakdowns and none of them repaired, some of them have been out for months, Too crowded, people just sit their while others have to wait for a long period of time to use them. I was apparently spoiled by the last planet fitness I used to regularly attend. Their staff always greeted you and made you feel welcomed, and they were always making sure at least the floors were vacuumed. This gym is older but during 3 hrs I was at this gym, there were 4 staff members huddled by the front desk not doing anything and didn't even have the decency to bid me farewell. The equipment is decent but the gym is limited in space especially the weight lifting area. My biggest gripe were the filthy floors in the STRETCHING area..so gross. Staff clearly didn't care. Took the last gym for granted.

*Update* New staff is very friendly and are always cleaning and making sure the gym is up to par to the best of their abilities. Major improvement. Wish they would clean that water fountain though.

I loved this gym but lately I’ve been having a rough time and wanted to downgrade my membership to the $10 one. Both times they told me they needed a manager to do it. I called to ask when the manager would be in and they said the manager should be in from 9am to 9pm. Yet each time I’ve gone the manager is mysteriously out and I’ll have to come back in an hour or the next day. It didn’t matter what time I came in or what day there never happened to be a manager. At this point it’s too much hassle. When I do meet a manager I will be cancelling my membership instead of just downgrading. I have bills to pay, keeping this gym membership is not a priority for me.

It's always full, I don't like it because of that but of all the planet fitness this is the one that gives you the best attention, its staff is top notch and cleanliness too,
I am a black card I pay my monthly membership and if I don't have the card on hand I show my app, they are very cautious I have automatic payment which I check in my app and they have never overcharged me, I congratulate them as I repeat, they are the only ones so far who treat with professionalism and respect. I use almost all of them from Dallas, Forworth, Mesquite, better ask which one is the worst in ethics because they don't know how to hide it.

The most incompetent group of people ever! No one knows anything. I’ve called and talked to two different people to pause my membership due to bed rest. Emily gave me an email address but no one has replied. I called back on Saturday to confirm email address and christoper gave me my own address. I’m not local, but I’m a black PF Black card member. I’m on a trip and decided to visit this location. Even though one of my memberships perks is to be allowed in any location worldwide, the Manager Corina and the staff didn’t allow me to enter the club and didn’t do any effort to try to help. Only when I offered to pay for the day, they let me in. I want to highlight that I pay for the black card membership monthly. So paying to enter a club doesn’t make any sense to me. I did this only because I have a strict routine and needed to work out today, but I’m very disappointed and with this review I hope they can make an effort next time for their members.

I also notice they don’t have a some equipment and accessories that other planet fitness I’ve visited before have 😜 like the Bosu, the hip trust pad and the small bands. I noticed this only in one hour because I needed it. I bet the list goes on.

I like planet fitness but if you can AVOID THIS LOCATION, do yourself a favor and do so!

También noto que no tienen algunos equipos y accesorios que tienen otros planet fitness que he visitado antes 😜 como el Bosu, el pad para hacer puente con barra y las bandas pequeñas. Me di cuenta de esto sólo en una hora porque lo necesitaba. Apuesto a que la lista continúa.

This is the only close gym to me, the thing I don’t like is the the machines never work this gym only has about 6 smith machines and about 30 treadmill 2 leg press. 3 multi use back matching. Is always full, thing always out of order. I go at 5:00 and all the smith machines, multi back machine and leg press are used and they don’t have enough machines. Why so many treadmills and not more equipment to lift??? I pay 20 and u can’t even get a good work out. This place is not clean, some of the restrooms are always out of order, and the paper dispenser to clean machines also out of order. The employees are all teens and are always in their phones. I try to go earlier but is always full

I went as a guest of a member and as a guest, I owed $5. They don't accept cash! Is that even legal? This location was quite busy with most of the resistance machines in use. We were there Wednesday beginning at around 6:30 and were able to get on the desired machines without too much difficulty. The facility seemed to be well maintained. I didn't see a single out of order sign. It was also clean and tidy.

This is the worst gym ever! Very ghetto! The bathroom doesn’t even work, sometimes it’s out of service! Their machines needs to be fixed and the whole gym has to be renovated! The wifi doesn’t work sometimes!! Don’t go to this gym! Terrible service and outdated gym! It’s always crowded and busy! I literally have to wait in (invisible)line to use a machine!!! The worst gym ever!!

This gym needs a lot of work!! The ladies gym doesn’t work sometimes and the wifi isn’t available most of the times!! How on earth can we survive without the bathroom? It’s always crowded and I need to wait in a “line” to use a machine! If you wanna workout choose another gym because this one is always busy and crowded. They don’t fitness trainers or an introductory workout or anything like that! This is a ghetto gym basically!! -100 out of 100

Bueno, falta de higiene en los usuarios, se quitan los zapatos para entrenar, andan ahí con sus hongos, debería de ser regla general , zapato deportivo, toallas personales y que utilicen los aparatos en poco tiempo, hay quienes se van a dormir con el celular o ponerse a platicar, se pierde tiempo, ojalá y pongan atención a esto.
