The planet fitness here in Odessa needs a SERIOUS REMODELING. Everytime I use the stairmaster, one or more out of the six are broken or they aren't working right and need a jumpstart????? idek what's wrong with them. It's small and jampacked in a way that makes you feel exposed. There are no spaces where you can back up and do a proper RDL without bumping into someone or having to take the weights ALL THE WAY across to the other side of the gym.The gym gets way to much business for it's size to fit customers properly, there's not enough equipment, people are constantly waiting to use the machine you're on because it's the only one in the gym. Overall this gym needs to take a look at Midlands layout and remodel.

I’m from out of town and I usually go in the evening and it’s not that busy, I give it 3 stars because of the customer service. I went for the first time in the morning and the girl at the front desk was pretty rude, her face was glued to her phone, I said good morning and got a grunt back. Mind you my morning didn’t start off that great and trying to stay positive that was not a good interaction was looking forward to getting.

This gym is basically in
poor-fair condition depending on what part of the gym you’re in. Dirt on the floors, some equipment is old and barely working. Some paper towel dispensers didn’t work.

🚨🚨The Men’s bathroom needs a total makeover. The plumbing is poor (low water pressure). The sinks barely work because the sensors don’t pick up movement. The showers are dirty and unclean. The booths were you change your clothes near the showers are missing curtains and completely dirty. The lockers are dirty. The floor is dirty. One of the paper towel dispensers doesn’t work . One of the toilets has a big hole in the back of the toilet where a pipe used to be.

I was watching the Staff the whole time I was working out and none of them barely did anything to do any cleaning at all. They spent most of their time on their cell phones. Normally when I walk out the staff either greet me or say goodbye. One gentleman was on his cell phone didn’t even notice I was there.

I go to Planet Fitnesses around the entire country. This particular planet fitness rates as one of the dirtiest and in the most disrepair that I’ve seen yet.

After reading the older reviews it looks like nothing is still going to be done but please do something about the temperature in that gym! It definitely feels like a sauna in there! Gym also needs a good clean up! Trash and dirt everywhere. && Paper towel dispenser never have paper in them…! Oh and please fix the stairmasters! The employees literally see how you have to jump on the last step to get the belt started and just walk away!

Helpful staff members. I see I'm a member for over 2 years with Planet fitness and every Planet Fitness that I go, their's no truck parking. Every Planet Fitness I go always tell me the same thing. It's a private parking. Planet Fitness is not the owner of the parking. Buy this being said I believe I have to cancel my membership. Due that there's no parking and I'm in a risk to be tow or get booted. Don't understand how everyone once there goods to be delivered if us tru k driver can't do our exercise to stay in shape and healthy. No I don't recommend no commercial vehicles to go to this or any other Planet Fitness unless you want to get tow. Oh the other thing Planet Fitness has to say we apologize but can you email us. No that's a waist of time. We are in America. Time is money and money is time. Hell with this and Planet Fitness gym.

They also don't have the new equipment (hack squat, seated calf raise, and bench machine thing (I forget what its called)). The place itself is nice. The biggest club I have visited in the US so far,the man locker room is unbelievably horrible, nothing works,flush doesn't work PF has already only 2 toilet 🚽 I think is not good should be 3 at least 1 for handicap & 2 for regular but anyway, dirty as hell looks like nobody takes care for days everything in the restroom or sink areas are dirty,just 1 lady working at the door nobody else it's 11 am Saturday jun 7 she doesn't care on the phone 110% I reported the flush she said someone will be here later to fix,I told her call your manager and report this issue,she was like: later will be fixed and looking at her phone how rude ,I travel all over the US been to several PF this one was the worst in my opinion,OSESSA TX deserve better,club is huge and pretty nice but the restroom is HELL ,I mean everything is DIRTY

Less of a Planet Fitness than most due to plumbing and infrastructure issues. In the men's locker room, it smells as if they have a sewer problem. There is fairly low water pressure from the sinks and shower head. If you are taking a shower, then someone flusters a urinal, you will be subject to very cold water for about fifteen seconds before it returns to normal temp. This is not normal. It is a design flaw. I had to wave my hand frantically to get just a short squirt of water to come out of either of the three sink faucets, which is useless for shaving or rinsing my hands. A paper towel dispenser needs to be remounted on the wall as it is lying on the countertop. Poor ventilation in the men's locker room. Plenty of machines. The music that was on the TV in the men's locker room was extremely depressing, which is not conducive to working out. Some tvs were not on in the main floor. The staff greeted me at the door with a smile and also when I left. I visited this planet fitness twice over the last three days. I travel extensively and 99% of the time, my showers are at Planet Fitness. I hope the management
takes care of these issues for future black card members from out of town. Good luck!

I’ve been going to various planet fitness facilities for a little over a decade now, and I would have to say this one is my favorite. The staff here is incredible and they make the gym tolerable. JJ, Issac, Esdonika, Anthony, all of them are incredible and I’m glad I ended up at this gym instead of switching over. I’d never recommend planet fitness but I’d recommend this one.

I like to work out at planet fitness because I’m from San Antonio. Didn’t know that they close the gym here in west Texas on the weekends at 10 or earlier. That’s a big part of the reason I joined because of the availability of any PF. But this is the first time I was told that you close early on the weekends. Please change this, we workout on the weekends too. The young girl was kinda rude about it like I was supposed to know. It’s my only complaint. Open 24 hours like we do in San Antonio PLEASE!!

You can sign up real easy online and they gladly allow you to put your payment information in on the website, but you have to go to the physical location and cancel your membership in person. This is a tactic they use to keep people paying by making it super inconvenient. Any company that makes it harder to cancel, than to sign up for is TRASH. A digital signature via email should work just fine since that is what I used to sign up with.

I signed up to go with my adult daughter. My disabilities were made worse by some of the machines. So I quit going. After a couple of months of not getting better, I requested they cancel. They continued to extract money. I signed up for a year. Had paid that equipment charge. At the end of the year I was charged a new equipment charge 53 dollars. I called and told them to stop draining my bank. It was a one time only charge. I was still expected to sign a termination. My disabilities limit my abilities. They didn't require a signature upon signing up online. They don't seem to be able to send me something to sign. Customer service is rude. I even told them it's the last thing I needed to take unexpected money from my account as my husband just passed days before.

This place needs a good cleaning. I signed up on Friday and Canceled on Monday due to the gross tanning bed that took me over 15 mins to clean.THAT HAD Gross grease at the end and hair stuck underneath it.Not to mention the pulp hair .I tries to workout but again th3 work out machines were dirty and never cleaned.Definitely would get a staff infection in this place.Left that day paying a high dollar price of 68 bucks to never come back!!!!!!

Rude staff, manager not allowing me in to work out as a 17-yo, even though I purchased the plan. He told me I must have a parent come in to confirm. He sent me home multiple times. I could not do a confirmation over the phone, either. The few times the nicer staff members let me in to work out, as I had an ID with the pf card, the manager would constantly stink-eye me down while I was working out, making me feel incredibly uncomfortable. When I’d leave, he would make comments to me as I walked out. When I finally canceled my membership, he was smiling. Switching to Tru-fit was the best decision I could have made. They have much nicer staff+management, who allowed me to do a confirmation with my parent/guardian over the phone, the day I signed up.

I’ve showered in 50 planet fitnesses over the last year and this one is the only one that I would rank 0/10. Only shower here if you want to enjoy 1 minute of burning hot water followed by the coldest water you’ve ever felt. All 3 showers are broken. I travel the country in my RV and shower after my workouts to enjoy unlimited hot water. This is the ONLY Planet fitness to get a negative review from me. Fix your showers. And hang a curtain in the weird little cubby across so people don’t have to walk 100’ in their towel to shower after taking their clothes off.

The showers in the womens locker room are horrible. They have 3 shower stalls one is missing the light fixture and is shut down the handicap one ONLY had the hose sprayer mounted hip level that you must hold to wash.. and the 3rd one is over all the best on the days its draining and youre not standing in 2 inches of water... there is no pressure in any of them and there is no hot water in any of them. The only changing stall has no door or curtain or even a bench to be useful for anything all this needs some serious attention
