1- The place is dirty, especially the restrooms , milky stains on the sink top and dirty shower HEADS , soiled floors, and dirty changing rooms that all get ignored or slightly wiped. U might need a scrubing brush.
2- The staff act like they hate their jobs. I.e., Rude Kate or whatever her name is [ the `Caucasian petite girl` at the front desk) . she talks down to customers and even " Yells "at them! she is sure to send customers away and plummet company Sales with that nasty attitude. THEY have one job with all that cleaning supply they have access to from the company. Pf might want to hire people who love to clean and discard these ones that are too cool to appreciate what they have access to.
3- As for me, i canceled my membership because I'm not about to catch an infection because people choose to do lazy work. it's irritating , I wish I had more pictures.

It's an okay gym. It's Not crowded, the machines and area is clean, and there are Lots of TVs. The downsides are that there are no squat racks and no hand sanitizer machines.

9/29/25 edit - if you cancel a membership here, make sure to watch your bank account because they kept charging me anyway OG post: Will make you pay 60 dollars for cancelling a membership. Won’t be getting another membership with them in the future if I need one, that’s for sure. Edit to publicly address the bs comment the manager left : considering that I got the membership in August last year and it’s not like y’all actually giving me a refund for the rest of the month, my membership technically got cancelled in August. So a full year. Still had to pay the legal bs explained 60 dollar cancellation fee. I hope y’all enjoy those 60 dollars, because that’s the last money you will ever see from me.

I've been going here for about 3 years and it's my go to spot for my daily workout.
Clean bathrooms, friendly staff, and a good selection of equipment that covers pretty much all you need.
This place tends to get pretty busy around
5 pm - 1 am so I would avoid those times unless you feel like fighting for your spot to lift.

I love that they offer free personal training. That is something that is unheard of from other gyms. I can also come and relax from a difficult week and use their massaging chairs, or shower after a good workout. I have had 2 training sessions with Eve and she is so motivating, and pushes me to reach my goals, which I believe every trainer should do. Please continue to offer this training to us and I'll keep coming!

I have been going to the Planet Fitness in Richardson for years. They have the most wonderful staff that is friendly and helpful. Kiara and Mr. A have done a tremendous job making sure the facility is always clean and are always more than happy to assist the customers. Out of the locations, I love this one the most. I am sad to hear they are leaving but know that the next location will be blessed to have them. Plus whatever you are paying them, they need a raise. They go above/beyond and deserve it!

Planet Fitness has been a huge disappointment. The place is constantly overcrowded, making it nearly impossible to get a decent workout in without waiting ages for machines — that is, if they’re even working. A good number of the machines are either broken or in poor condition, with out-of-order signs that seem to stay up for weeks. To make matters worse, the gym is far from clean; sweat stains are left unchecked, trash bins overflow, and the locker rooms smell awful and are rarely maintained properly. For a place that prides itself on being a “Judgment Free Zone,” it feels more like a chaotic, neglected mess.

I love everything! Everyone at the front desk is awesome. Encouraging, helpful, friendly. Couldn't ask for more. Management is amazing, as well. The club is super clean, and every time I am there, there is someone going around with the cart and taking care of things. If the water fountain has a problem, it's fixed very quickly. t is always super clean inside and smells nice. It can get a little crowded at times, but that’s not the clubs fault. I would like to see some free weights in the functional training area (in the back of the gym) that’s usually the only reason I go to another location over Richardson sometimes is because that location has free weights in the functional training area, and not on the floor with all of the other bigger free weights. I love the location though. Everyone is always super kind and warm.

I think Planet Fitness is a good choice. It's clean, quiet and has plenty of machines to work any muscle group you like. There are some exceptions, like my daughter likes the hip raise. However, it doesn't exist. You can however do it manually with a weight and a bench. So you can modify your exercise and get almost anything you need. I'll reiterate, it is clean. The young lady on the in the morning, does the spot checks relentlessly. I appreciate her efforts. Also, she is very kind and patient in the early morning.

Love the new equipment and Red light therapy.

Only Down fall is the floors are filthy and need to be mopped at least twice a day. Once during morning shift and then again at night shift.

I sprayed the paper to wipe down the red light therapy and black dirty was all on the bottom of my white tennis shoes and hair. Lots of hair. Gross 🤮

This planet fitness is really nice. Newer machines, upgraded TBE machine, relaxation pods with scent and sound therapy, massage and relaxing spa area. I had to go here when the red light/TBE machine at the PF closer to home was broken for a few months and I felt desperate. I almost felt cheated coming in here and seeing how much nicer it was! Their total body enhancement red light machine is so cool. It’s bigger and a triangle shape. I wasn’t sure how to work it at first, the selection panel is different and not as user friendly.

I am beyond frustrated with Planet Fitness. We were unknowingly pulled into a one-year contract and have been trying to get out of it for an entire year. They do not disclose verbally that it’s a one-year contract; instead, they trick you with a seemingly attractive monthly rate. To make matters worse, the only way to cancel is to physically come in person.

I have tried several times to pause the membership, get a medical excuse, and even remove my minor from the contract, but the customer service is non-existent. Their phone system directs you to a message saying they can’t help you cancel. This feels like the biggest scam we have ever endured. Highly and utterly dissatisfied with this company. Avoid at all costs!

Patrice is the ONLY reason anyone would ever come to this place. She is a national treasure. Read those first two sentences again. Yes, you read that right! The legendary Patrice is here and she is an incredible human being who is super professional, super nice, and she refills the tootsie roll container so damn efficiently that she has made me relive my childhood one too many times (in a good way 😇). Can yall please install hooks in the changing rooms and showers. There's nowhere to hang your towel, gym bag, or clothes after a workout. The only reason we go there it's open 24 hours. I have another membership at another gym that caters to a higher taste of group of clients, and that caters to older croud more mature.
But they are only open til 9pm on weekdays and 8 pm on weekends but on the average they know what they are offered. Im am getting tired of being pestered by an employee at midnight that walks around around 3rd shift spying on to see what my husband and i are doing. We are 50, Im a 3rd gen body fitness sport health individual.we have been working out for 20 years. Im old school body fitness seasoned into bbf. Now this has been very annoying, and recently happens all the time we go around midnight. Im very focused and disciplined at my goals and level of fitness to know what the hell im doing. But this employee is always walking around spying on clients is ridiculous. And last night was the pits. He told my husband who was waiting for me to finish my last part of my work out routine abs on a mat . My husband was done and he was on his mat stretching because he has a knee sport injury recovery. We'll that guy came and told him not to fall asleep because he was going to get him in trouble. What the hell was his problem? I've seen tons of younger clients that lay on their mats yaking or stretching for at least 30 minutes. He doesn't harress them about falling asleep. One more time and we are just going to our favorite location in Carrollton. Even if it's too far. This employee is new. But spying on clients over 50, is either disrespectful or plainly target because of our age. He came and told my husband not to fall asleep. He came over to see if he was literally asleep on mat after his last back stretching and i was wrapping up my evening routine with abs.
So any one who is over 40 I wouldn't recommend this location going to working out your routine located in Richardson. The day staff has a more respectful employees. But we both work during the day. The day staff, they mind their own business and don't make one feel like we're at your senior care or gym-boree play center.

First of all Devin and Christina need a raise! This is the best PF morning crew I've seen so far. The bathrooms can be a bit tricky in that they are difficult to keep up with. I have been coming to the gym for about a month and USUALLY everyone is friendly and respectful but today we were met with rolling eyes and being laughed at . We understand as black card members we cannot bring guest to use chair massages NOW ….. but they have let our guest use them a few times that we have brought them . Once we resolved the confusion as we walked out the “manager” and his fellow female employee ( don’t remember names ) stood there laughing and mocking as we walked out . Idk what the name is of the employee but he ruins my mood when he’s there. He won’t tell men to put their duffle bags up but he’ll tell my wife that she can’t have her drawstring with her with equipment in it. He’s always on his phone, trying to talk to women or if it’s late enough he puts the sign out and goes to sit in the office. I had to wait 10 minutes for him to come out to get on the hydro bed. He also goes and sits at the tables and sits on his phone. It looks so unprofessional. He’s a short guy, usually wears a hat and works in the evenings. It’s not hard to stay at the desk or act like you care about your check at all. The other employees are great and greet and actually say something.

I like about my planet fitness that the staff is amazing! Its always clean, and their staff is always willing to help. Trainor Nicole has been so nice and has helped me with advice for my weight loss journey. And Quan is always ready with my Hydro Chair and also willing yo give me advice when I ask. They appreciate and know their gym goers. ❤️💪🏼

Update: 4/25/2024. ... PLEASE DON'T SAY TALK TO LOCAL MGMT... they are way to busy to be concerned with customers! I'm still waiting ....

2 months now and I think staff have just given up on what the sign says in the restroom about it being clean and if not top let staff know. By the way the staff plus mgmt don't care!
No soap .. dirty... I think the dirt is having children. I would have posted the showrrs but i don't think you want nightmares!!! Definitely stay away from this location.!!!

1st couldn't find anyone at front desk. Fi ally after 15 mins found and reported it. Took all my info and still waiting for manager to get in touch with me. Guess they have more important things to do ....

The African American at the front desk(Quan) is a terrible employee, would rather talk to his friends than assists customers, always rude every time I step foot into the facility. The facility is very nice but the employees are subpar at best

I’ve had a membership at planet for 6 years now. I absolutely love this location. I feel so comfortable here. The staff is super friendly and very attentive. They are always cleaning and have a smile on their faces. I have been coming to this location for 3 months now and I have no complaints. My trainer Nicole is excellent she really challenges me without intimidating me. She also gives good tips for working out when I do so independently. The positive atmosphere and people here make you really feel as though you belong. Nonetheless I have seen dramatic results. I highly recommend this location if you’re in the North Dallas area. 😊

This has to be the worst planet fitness in this area. Not it’s facilities but it’s employees. The worst of them all, is a guy named Quan (picture already attached to an older complaint here, so I don’t need to repost). And after several complaints the Manager (a lady, name withheld) does nothing to rectify the situation. I have watched several clients complain to her about this guy Quan, till they cancel their memberships and yet she does absolutely nothing, nor fire this guy. This guy has a bad temper agreed, it’s a blind manager that puts a guy that is rude and cusses out on a customer service role, but recently he has been threatening gym members to call the cops on em. I wondered why an employee would have such effrontery, till a day came And I observed the Manager call the cops on a member who was working out peacefully. 2 cop cars came to pick up 1 dude lol. 1 dude who was not being violent at all.
I have no issue with calling the cops on some Con or suspect and making them wait outside your facility, so your customers feel safe. But no, they literally led the cop to where he was working out in the gym. You should have seen the drama lol. They haven’t done this to me of course that’s why I can write about it. but I am also a gym member. I pay the monthly and annual fees to be a member, it’s not free. If they threat one gym member like trash, guess what, YOU ARE NEXT… My advice stay away from this franchise. And if anyone knows how please report Quan and the Manager to corporate, they need to quickly. I am not the only one. This guys are ruining the pf reputation. I know even another guy who is also cancelling soon, due to bad employee character and zero manager action. He calls this particular pf location ‘ghetto’. Come here at your own risk. I’m cancelling this week lol

The staff at this location are vacant and apathetic on a good day, but the experience I had on March 10th at 5:30pm makes me want to never set foot into a Planet Fitness ever again. I don’t appreciate being snapped at by a young girl for interrupting her phone conversation at the front desk and told “JUST TALK TO ME” while I waited politely for her to get off her phone and assist me. I’ve never been talked to in a customer service role like that ever and I’ll vote with my dollars. I pay for a service and whether they like their job or not, they’re being paid to facilitate my experience in the gym, especially regarding Black Card services I can’t initiate myself.

Good location to work out in. I work out in the morning, so there’s always availability. I just don’t like the fact that this is the first gym I’ve ever been to that does not have a scale and no one has offered me a fitness assessment. To ask me about my goals or anything. Maybe it’s just about “numbers….not the members… at this gym. I love the gym and I’m not gonna stop coming, I just wish there was more interaction with the “numbers” aka the guest regardless of the time of day it is.

Machine availability is great! I do, however find the bushes in the parking lot to be a big issue. 2 wrecks in the same spot in 5 days is a lot. Not to mention a human safety hazard coming in and out of the building. Never have I seen bushes like this in the middle of a parking lot, literally cannot see around them for other cars or people on foot entering or exiting. . Great gym, though.

This place is a nightmare. Avoid at all costs. I joined Planet Fitness last February, when they put out a promotion to join their new facility. It seemed like a good deal, and it was the last day of the promotion, so my wife and I signed up. We went to use the gym and were disappointed to see that it was still being built. There was construction equipment everywhere and they were nowhere near ready to open up. Came back again a few weeks later and it was still the same deal. What a great deal! We had a membership for a gym that didn’t exist. A few weeks after that, we drove by and the construction was still happening, so we decided to go use another facility. The other planet fitness would not accept our membership, due to it being only for this specific location. They said one of us needed to upgrade our membership. I said fine, and upgraded my account. We then worked out for the next hour and left. Life happened and I found that I did not have time to keep going to the gym. However when I signed up I was told I couldn’t cancel for a year. So I waited a year. Paying $27.11 every single month. I went in a few weeks ago after the 12th payment and was told by Cato that I had to wait until after FEBRUARY 4th or they would charge a cancellation fee. So I waited some more. It is February 13th today and I went in to cancel my membership and Cato said the same thing. I will be charged a cancellation fee. I said, that wasn’t right, you told me I could cancel after the 4th, and now Cato is saying that I have to wait until March 7th. This will involve me paying for another month at this dump. I asked to speak to a manager and out came Cliff. Cliff told me the same thing and while we were hashing it out Cato stood behind him and even started laughing at me. The other associate, whose name I did not get was also smirking, because they knew exactly what they were doing. It’s not right. They offered a service that I paid for and they were not able to provide. Then tricked me into a contract, which I honored. Now that I am trying to be done with it, they are still trying to squeeze more money out of me. I have given them $325.11 of which I have not utilized there services at all. I then realized that Cliff was the assistant manager and asked to speak to the manager Kiara. Cliff said no and then asked me to leave. So I left. Do yourself a favor and join either of the other 2 gyms across the street.

Horrible service … no one was able to help with simple task … I stopped coming for maybe 2 months but was still paying for it … I had simple no contract plan so I was told at beginning I can cancel as please n reactivate if I want n since paid annual fee already another wouldn’t be needed …. I called today to try to to see what balance I owed to get reactive they couldn’t even tell anything over phone so I drive there for them to tell me I can’t reactive and would have to start over n pay annual fee for a second time wich is the entire opposite of what I was told when signing up … I wasted time, gas, and energy when I could’ve been told this over phone … one of the worst experiences ever and making it really hard to try to live a healthier life style

Bad customer service when it comes to certain employees but clean machines great equipment. It used to be good customer service but idk what happened. Maybe they don’t like their jobs anymore. I travel a lot and go gym to gym throughout the USA but use this one a lot because it’s so close to my parent’s place.
