I've been coming to this gym 3-4 times a week for the last 4 months. They recently replaced the dumbbells and now there's only 1 pair of 25 lb Dumbbell. I've mentioned it a couple of times at the front desk and no one has an answer. The 3 showers have 2 towel hooks between them and they're dirty. The whole restroom area smells like urine. This is at 6 in the morning with maybe 25 people in the whole gym. I'm moving to a different location.

OK, this is quite silly, but at the same time worth noting, So the water fountains are broken, they've run out of bottled water and rather than running out to a warehouse club or having their own bottled water delivered, or setting up a water cooler, they direct people down the block to buy water. Whoever is in charge needs to rethink this.

Update, the fountains were quickly put back in service, and the facility once again had bottled water for sale. It really doesn't change my initial reaction to the situation, but I wanted to add, the people who staff the Palm Valley Club in RR are always friendly, helpful and kind. The club it kept clean, and all the equipment was replaced in September of 2025.

I’ve been coming here for four years, but recently started going to the Cedar Park location. Unfortunately, the AC has been broken for quite some time, and it’s extremely hot inside. With 90-degree Texas weather and a packed gym full of people, the heat becomes unbearable. I’d avoid this location unless you’re looking to risk a heat stroke.

I’ve been coming here for foreverrrrrrr.
They did a remodel- cool.
The pads that normally come with the smith machine are now up front at the desk.
I went to get one, and now there’s a sign off sheet AND they want a personal item to hold on to as collateral. Where did we sign off on that? Dumb.
Also a few weeks ago someone came up and said we’re not allowed to do rotations on the smith machine. Also where’s that?
Cool. I needed another reason to switch and I think this might have been it.

I have been going to this location for a few years. It is not as nice and new as some of the other locations. They recently completely rearranged the machines in the entire bldg. They went from 7 recumbent bikes to 3. They removed the stretch gym which was one of the things I liked about this location, I am very disappointed and likely to go somewhere else. To top it off the AC has not been working for almost two weeks which makes it less desirable. Everyone says corporate makes these decisions. Are y'all checking in with the customers?

I've been going to this location for about 3 1/2 years. Staff is friendly and hard working. Restrooms and gym are clean. Gym has been recently upgraded. I can't speak for other locations because I only go here. This Planet Fitness exceeds my expectations, especially considering the affordable price.

I really enjoy coming to this Planet Fitness! The staff here is truly what makes this place great. Ian, Daysha, and Matt are all awesome—friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Their customer service is top-tier, and it’s the main reason I keep coming back.

That said, I do want to mention one issue that I hope can be addressed soon: the water station seems to be missing a filter or isn’t functioning properly, so we’re not able to get water from it. It’s a small but important detail, and I hope it gets fixed soon.

Other than that, I absolutely love this gym and the welcoming atmosphere created by the team here. Thank you all for your hard work!

Called in January to cancel my account as I don't live close to a location to go in and cancel the membership. I was told on the phone they would go ahead and cancel the membership given my circumstances. Fast forward to, today may 1st I have still been charged every month and also the anual fee. When I spoke to the "General Manager" she told me she would go ahead and cancel the membership, but would not be refunding me due to me not going in to the location to cancel.

Good place to look at chicks in yoga pants and laugh at clowns doing absurd movements on machines and magazine workouts in the mirror. I see some folks doing the same workout every day. I really laugh at the scrawny kid flexing and boxing in the mirror. Need heavier dumbells and more pec decks and hammer machines.

This place is fine but it is not ideal for taking a good shower with hot water because the shower with hot water is always damaged.

Thanks today 02/10 everything ok with shower tonight, But at two stations for disinfectant and paper to clean the machines there was no paper and I notified the staff and they did not replace it. I don't understand.

I recognized the good, but it was of no use. This place has been without hot water in the bathrooms for a week now. I pay the full membership, so I should receive the same from this irresponsible company that provides a half-service... this is stealing from the customer. 04/08/25

I'm here almost every morning at 4am. When Stefan is here it's clean, well stocked and you can find him when you need him. If he is not here the gym is dirty, not stocked and the employee is hiding the whole 2 hours I'm here. This is why everyone is switching to Crunch. You need to hire better help. I'm seriously considering changing too because of the poor hires. Very disappointed 😞😞
I have pictures, if only I could add them to prove what I'm talking about. Been here for an hour and no employee in sight. 2 people waited for the employee, pressing the button on the radio and no show, they walked out. This is ridiculous!!!

Overall, this gym is decent, but there's a trio of midnight lifters whose aversion to soap and water is a serious drawback. Their body odor is so overpowering, it feels like they're conducting chemical warfare in the free-weight section. Honestly, I might start carrying a gas mask in my gym bag.

Update: To anyone curious enough to know if this matter was resolved, it wasn't. I reached out to the "social team" as instructed in the response to this review and never heard anything back.

Original Post: I began working out at this location around October 2023. Atmosphere was good, staff was fairly attentive. But here's where the trouble begins.
In March 2024 there was a promo listed on the Planet Fitness app stating I could upgrade my basic membership to the Black Card+ with no commitment. This is a rarity so I jumped at the chance.
Yesterday, December 9, I visited the club to cancel my membership due to being unable to visit as often as I would like. I was informed by the staff member that I was under a commitment and would have to pay the $60 contract buyout. I was confused and she said that after upgrading I was now under a commitment plan. I paid the $60 and left.
After leaving, I reviewed the contract I was sent after upgrading in March and it said I was under a 12 month commitment. Had I known this going into this whole thing I would have just held on to my membership.
I returned to the club a few minutes later to request to reactivate my membership and have the $60 buyout refunded. The next staff member told me I would need to contact Planet Fitness corporate.
I sent two requests through the PF website to have someone contact me and both requests yielded auto-generated emails saying to contact the club directly.
I called the club and they connected me to what I assume was the PF corporate help line. I was told that since my membership was now closed I would have to start over from scratch to renew my membership and I was out $60.
Now, maybe the issue is with the PF app advertising a promo this club didn't honor but this is a horrible bait-and-switch tactic I fell for. I should have read the contract before finalizing the agreement.
All this to say, be wary of Planet Fitness in general if these are the type of business tactics they engage in.

At the Gym and its now 7:41am. Guess nobody showed up to open and overslept or called out last minute. I get it things happen but, guess my workout is not going to happen today and have to head to work. This is the 3rd time this has happened since signing up. Unfortunately management won’t know for a while when they see members aren’t being logged in or however its tracked. On the plus the equipment and atmosphere is pretty good and the workers are nice.

Planet offers an incredible value with not only price but the additional availability of a trainer. Nick Copeland is a fantastic trainer and is taking my old ass to heights I never thought I could reach. The entire staff is competent and friendly. The facility is very clean and well kept. I look forward to going every day and I’m happy I found such a great gym. I’m home!

Seriously I’ve been a Black Card member since probably 2017 or 18 and I have given good reviews to this specific location in the past solely because of now former staff members and THAT IS IT and don’t know even get me started on the extremely high turnover rate at this location. Management just says their plate is full and they’re “trying” no darlin JUST DO. Busted boxes for several weeks just lay against the wall in the 30min express area that contain busted bulbs to replace the numerous burned out bulbs in tanning and Angel Machine. Really?! Majority of the equipment is ripped up and it’s just covered with a cheap plastic black cover, the accessories for weights in the back corner by ab machines (metal clip on rope and such) are worn and tattered and come apart when using smh. Almost all of THAT area is chain linked off because apparently the mirror is about to come off the wall!! Some treadmills are coming apart just begging for a lawsuit along with the covers over the buttons in which to operate it. The sticks with the cord that you move for less or more weight are almost always busted. The front door handle is slapstick together with yellow tape lol!!
This particular location I have been coming to for about four years now and Crunch is about to open not to mention there’s several other gyms in the area to choose from that are cheaper so why come back you ask, well Stefan the very early morning staff member and the few fellow members that are now workout partners. Please don’t respond with an apology for poor upkeep of this location just DO BETTER ask corporate to accept responsibility, and get out of their offices and actually come to this location specifically and really inspect each and every piece of equipment. By the way tanning bed 9’s door has been needing bolts for over a month and I did bring this to the manager lady who said she’s new and has a lot on her plate so how hard is it to go to Home Depot and get the bolts so it doesn’t seriously cause bodily harm to someone?! PF EITHER DO BETTER OR SEVERAL OF US ARE DONE WITH PF ALL TOGETHER!!

I like this place overall. I work in this area so I come here to workout and shower after work. My biggest complaint would be the shower curtains in the ladies locker room. They’re disgusting. They need to be replaced by doors like at some of the newer Planet Fitness gyms. Also, people don’t always know if an area is occupied so instead of just saying “Hey is someone in here?” They just open the curtain while you’re standing there in your birthday suit.

Fees are crazy don’t do it. Paid the initial which was close to $100 plus membership fee, two weeks later got the first months’ membership fee. I paid the no contract cancel whenever plan. And two months later they charged the annual fee plus membership. Other gyms don’t nickel and dime you for your fitness journey. There are more affordable options. Don’t trust their “no contract plan” when they still charge the annual.

I was visiting Texas for a while and I went there and get a subscription, I specifically asked for the cancellation fee because I was visiting so I just want to sign up for a couple months, the lady that signed me up told me that the most expensive membership was the one for me because it didn’t had any cancellation fee, I asked her about 3 or 4 times because this happened to me in the past with another gym and she told me that I had nothing to worry about, now that I want to cancel the subscription, they want me to pay the cancellation fee, besides they overcharge me twice for the subscription, don’t go to this gym, they’re such a scam!

Planet Fitness will always be a planet fitness. At least here the staff that I've encountered have all been pretty chill and respectful. During the morning it does get a little crowded but not like other gyms, so you can still use most of the machines you need. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because they're not open 24 hours on the weekends which kinda sucks especially if you work the night shift like me. But overall it's a great place to get your workout at.
