Experience diminished by poor showers in the men's locker room. Nice big shower stall, but the curtain was too small. They should just add hooks and a second curtain. Dirty stall and the drain was slow (gross). No soap in dispenser. It is a shame because these things are so easily remedied.

Everything is great until you try and cancel your membership. They tell you that you can cancel online which you can’t. So you spend an hour pointlessly scrolling the site even though the employees know you can’t cancel online because the second you tell them there’s no way to cancel online they then resort to telling you that you can’t cancel until after the 17th. So if you come to this gym between the 10th and 17th not only will you be charged for another month but you won’t be allowed to cancel until the 18th. Even though the website says you can cancel you’ll just be charged. The gimmick is they get you in cheap but there’s so many different things that stop you from being able to leave.

I would say the place is very organized. And has everything you need. Its clean and the restrooms haven't disappointed yet lol. The water fountain is fresh and cold and also comes with a bottle fill station 👍 only down side is the staff. I love planet fitness I truly do, however I’ve been seeing a lot of young children and teens being dropped off there like it’s a daycare?
I’ve complained twice to the staff about teens recklessly using the equipment that could seriously hurt them or someone around them. I wish staff could keep a better eye on them especially if it’s true that “kids and teens under 18 get to work out free with, NO parental supervision!”

I canceled my Planet Fitness membership in February 2025. However, three months later, I noticed they began charging me again. I had already gone through the hassle of emailing, calling, and speaking directly with the local manager here in San Angelo in an effort to cancel. Since I travel often, I eventually had to send a certified letter with all the necessary information to formally terminate my membership.

According to them, a certified letter is the only way to cancel. So I took the time, spent the money, and went to the post office to send it. I even have proof showing it was signed for and received on 2/10/25 at 10:49 AM. Despite that, they kept my payment information on file and inexplicably reactivated my account three months after cancellation.

If you’re thinking about canceling your Planet Fitness membership, be prepared to go as far as changing your bank account or canceling your credit card. They might continue to charge you even after you’ve done everything required to cancel—just like they did with me. They seem to have the ability to charge whatever they want, whenever they want, with no meaningful accountability.

This company does not respect your time, your money, or the concept of customer service. Canceling is made intentionally difficult. Save yourself the trouble—buyer beware.

Nice staff and great place to work out. This is a review for the Knickerbocker Texas PF. I wanted to share that Rhiannon Lindsey was a stand-out staff member who helped me with a question I had. I was lost! I'm new to the area and was in the place of all things, tanning even though it was 90 outside. I needed help, and with her help, I was able to proceed with my day. I returned a few days later and she remembered me. Asked if I found what I was looking for. She is awesome and represents PF in the highest ways. What a great person to have on your staff. Although gym is kept clean. The machines could use some repair/adjustments. I pointed out slack loose cables on a machine and all I got was “their supposed to be like that”. B.S. you don’t get the resistance through the full range of motion if the cables are loose. The curl machine didn’t hit resistance until halfway through the curl motion. The staff is generally friendly but ever time I come in one or more of the paper towel machines are empty. Not a big thing, but employees seem to rather play on their phones that take care of simple tasks. One last minor grip. The policy of no tank tops not enforced.

I started coming to this gym in February of 2022 and at first I was a little skeptical of it, but I love it. There are many different options for cardio and a variety of different weight machines to use. And if you are looking to tan, they have many tanning beds (both stand up and lay down). This gym and the machines are always clean. The staff is awesome. I don’t know any of them personally but I want to say some things I’ve observed about them. This summer has been hell for them from the AC needing to be repaired, to having a serious medical emergency happen with one of the gym goers, to a toilet in the women’s bathroom overflowing (poo and all). The workers are fairly young, but they are driven. They take charge of the issues that come up and they seem to really support each other. You will usually always see them with a smile whether it’s when they are busy cleaning machines, cleaning poo off the bathroom floor from a toilet overflowing, or when they are in the front behind the desk greeting customers. They make sure to say hello and goodbye to their customers. It’s really awesome to see how they work as a team. And the gentleman who was working when the medical emergency happened on Labor Day (I think his name is Isaiah) acted very appropriately and accordingly. That was a lot for him to experience and I hope the higher up people in this company acknowledge his doing so and take into account that he experienced something so significant that might impact him in different ways, good or bad, and take good care of him.

When I started in November of 2021, after a long battle of Pneumonia, I knew I had to change the way I lived. I was over 400 lbs. I was depressed, hurting in my joints, and wasn't fitting in my clothes. It's April 2022 as I type this and they have been THE BEST team I have ever been to. It's not I "have" to go to the gym It's I GET to go to the gym! I started the 75 Hard Challenge with my friend who's a nurse and I chose this gym because I have friends who been there and liked it. Since I have been going, it's been clean, sanitary and no odors. The equipment is easy to learn and use. I have lost 47 lbs since I have been going to Planet Fitness! After my workouts I buy a bottle of water from them, and say hello to the awesome team and I let them know how much I lost every time I get a chance. It's not the destination but the journey and they are a part of it!
