They were only waiting on the drive thru and ignoring the lobby for 25 minutes. Then they had used up all the dark meat chicken because they have started to charge more for white meat and no one wants to pay for it. So they are forcing people to pay more because white meat is all they have. I received red beans and rice and I got a table spoon of beans and the rest rice. Wow! You can't win with this company.

This gym only has two leg press machines. What’s not cool is when an employee is talking with a patron for over twenty minutes at that machine. Not working out. It’s common courtesy, if you’re not using it, get up and allow someone else to workout. It’s not your lounge chair. Either get more leg press machines or let’s be courteous for the needs of others. And as I was leaving the gym, that employee was still talking with that patron. So for over an hour the employee wasn’t working? Maybe they were solving the world’s problems? Who knows. But perception is reality…“easy money”

The manager treated us very rudely.

We signed up for a black card membership with the stated understanding from an employee that we could bring my stepdaughter to exercise with us. An employee told us this.

When we later showed up with her to use the gym, the manager told us their policies restrict kids under 13 from using the gym and that we could not enter. Fine. No problem. We didn’t insist that we should be able to use the gym.

But we signed up only because an employee told us we could use the gym with my stepdaughter. So I requested a refund. I did not demand a refund. I simply requested a refund.

We were denied the refund. Ok. Not the end of the world either.

But the manager also spoke to us very rudely, saying he didn’t know who would have told us that we could bring my stepdaughter and that the policy is all over the internet. Basically, we should have known despite an employee having told us otherwise.

We were just going off what an employee told us, so treating us like we’re crazy or stupid for not reading the fine print in the gym policies was very disrespectful.

If your employee messed up and misrepresented your policies, you need to take responsibility for that as a manger and at the very least apologize for the confusion.

Part of your job as a gym manager is customer service. If you’re not treating customers respectfully, you aren’t doing your job.

This specific Planet Fitness location refuses to accept cash as a form of payment, which is absolutely ridiculous for a business serving the public. Not everyone wants to use cards or have recurring charges on their bank account, especially when it comes to a gym membership.

This isn’t just an inconvenience, it’s poor customer service and terrible operational decision-making. Cash is legal tender. Refusing it excludes a whole group of potential customers who may prefer or only have access to cash in any given situation.

A business that prides itself on being “Judgment Free” should also be barrier free, and turning people away over how they pay is the opposite of that. Fix this, Planet Fitness. You’re better than this.

Overall, it is a nice gym specially the locations which are 24 hour open and hence, providing great flexibility to plan your workouts. However, I feel it is limited to at best intermediate level because the free weights are limited. The dumbbell stacks go to maximum of just 75 lbs and there are absolutely no free standing barbells and bench for bench press. I think the least the management can do is to increase the dumbbell stacks to at least 100 lbs but the ideal will be to go up to 150 lbs . If they increase the weights, and given that many locations are 24 hours, I would have no hesitation in giving it a higher rating.

Planet Fitness Should Be Ashamed – Health Needs Ignored

I’m incredibly disappointed and hurt by how I was treated by the assistant manager Xiang at this location. I’ve been a consistent Black Card guest for over a year, but during a recent visit, I was denied entry and basic accommodations for my medical condition.

I have a condition that requires me to keep glucose tablets (for low blood sugar) with me at all times… especially during workouts. When I tried to bring them in, I was told I couldn’t. I explained clearly that I need them for health reasons, and that they are not optional. Still, Xiang refused and was completely dismissive, showing zero concern or empathy.

To make things worse, when my husband briefly left to retrieve another essential item I forgot, I wasn’t allowed to enter using my official Planet Fitness day pass… something clearly supported by the app. Instead, I was embarrassed and treated like I was trying to cheat the system, even though we’ve been respectful, paying members for over a year.

This location talks about being a “Judgement Free Zone,” but in reality, I was judged, dismissed, and humiliated… simply for trying to manage a medical condition. Management at this gym is deeply lacking in compassion and common sense.

I would not recommend this location to anyone who expects to be treated with dignity… especially if you have any kind of medical or accessibility need.

Planet Fitness at 14610 Huebner Rd is a solid gym experience. It was pretty crowded, but there were still plenty of machines available, so I never had to wait too long. The entire facility, including the locker room area, was clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and very helpful, which made the visit even better. As a Black Card member, I really appreciate the post-workout massage—it's a great way to recover after cardio. Looking forward to progressing to strength training with their support. Definitely a good spot for a workout!

I'm tired of the salesmen this gym lets hang around out front. Today after taking a moment to gather my things, one of them came up to me the second I got out of my car trying to sell me something. When I told her I don't want anything, she told me to have a better day. I was having a great day before a stranger waited like a predator to approach me the second I got out of my car.

Cannot cancel membership over the phone even though Im going into surgery tomorrow, they have predatory policies that make it difficult to cancel. I used to work for planet fitness at one point and know that you should be able to cancel with a managers help, its two signatures. Would absolutely not recommend going to any planet fitness but especially not this one, incompetent management, and less than not helpful staff. My only option is the extend my surgery date or wait for the multi-week process sending mail would be to get it cancelled in which I will be billed for another month and their yearly fee that they bill after you being a member for more then 30 days. Gross company, gross management, gross facilities. If you want a good gym go with literally any other option and you’ll have a better experience.

Not one single store on the weekends has a manager on duty nor is the district manager available. They don’t believe in taking care of customer complaints or customer concerns on the weekend because customers are not important to them. They charge my bank account in one day six times which unfortunately also led to an extra $117 in returned and overdraft fees. I am not happy and I don’t have anyone that’s available to correct this issue and of course just like their local practice their corporate offices are closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday and you’re not able to talk to them on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

December 2024 update: This location has been renovated and upgraded. I left written feedback at the front desk prior to the remodel, and my main concerns were addressed. They added numerous free weight areas with continuous mirrors on the walls. It’s excellent and now we never have to wait for a bench to open up. The bathrooms were completely redone and are much cleaner. All of the broke. Equipment has been repaired.

This location is in need of some serious work. After going for a few months, here is what I’ve noticed. About 90% of the floor space is dedicated to cardio machines which mostly go unused during peak times. The free weight section only has 6 benches so there is never any space to workout. The mirrors are not continuous in the free weight section so it’s difficult to check your form. Some of the paper towel dispensers are broken or just worn out, the urinals in the men’s room have dried urine caked all over them and don’t appear to get cleaned, and there is a lot of hair all over the gym floor (don’t set your water bottle down!). I brought up some of these concerns and asked for a feedback card but was told by the staff that the gym is getting renovated in 2024. So likely no repairs or maintenance until then.

2024 Update: The dried urine has been cleaned off the urinals but the equipment is still in dire need of updates. Lots of broken machines that haven’t been fixed for almost a month.

This is one of the best Planet Fitness locations I've ever visited. The facility is spacious, clean, and well-maintained overall. However, a significant downside is that some of the equipment remains broken for over a month without being repaired, which can be frustrating for regular users. Additionally, the men's restroom could benefit from better odor control or the addition of deodorizing products to enhance the experience. With a few improvements, this location could easily set the standard for others.

Not sure if they are planning on installing more benches or not, but the recent change is horrible. On busy days, expect to have to place all of your belongings on the floor as everyone gravitates to these two small benches as soon as they enter the men’s locker room. There’s nowhere to sit or place your stuff other than floor (There was zero issues with the prior arrangement. Plenty of seating area, locker spaces etc. Now, goodluck).

I know I’m not the only one who feels this way as I’ve overheard others in the locker room mention it. The treadmills have all been placed towards the front and some even removed in order to fit more stair-masters which hardly anyone uses.

I wish they’d divide the sections equally and leave some treadmills on the back side of the gym where some of the stair-masters have taken their place. All of the treadmills being clustered up towards the front forces people to congregate there and nobody wants to be bunched up together. SPREAD OUT THE TREADMILLS

Free weight section feels overcrowded with all of the additional benches placed there. Now everyone works out over each other as there’s hardly any room.

The redesign—although necessary—was poorly thought-out. Seems like it was designed by someone who’s never used a commercial gym before. I really hope others jump in and share similar thoughts so that management decides to do something about it.

This place is terrible now. After the pandemic the company and staff did a great job keeping everyone and everything clean. Now, no one wipes anything down, people wear wife beaters and slides WITHOUT SOCKS, sleeveless shirts, torn up shorts and the entire place is filthy. It smells like dirty middle school locker room. The bathrooms constantly stink. The same 3 paper towel machines have been broken for a month. This place is a shell of itself. Oh not to mention all the staff that just sit behind the counter and do nothing. Looking for another gym.

Update: this gym has been completely redone and the owner operator has done a TREMENDOUS job making it amazing. This is the definition of what a well run and organized gym should be. The amenities have been completely revamped and updated, the staff is friendly and does a great job with organization and cleanliness and you can tell a serious effort by the leadership and management team has been made to make this gym the best one in the city.

I’ve lost 125lbs through hiking and without ever stepping foot in a gym and I documented my weight loss journey on instagram. recently I realized I needed to start resistance training and so planet fitness immediately came to mind because so many other weightloss influencers I follow have documented their planet fitness journey. I signed up for the black card and had amazing experiences in Houston and Beaumont and documented it on Instagram. However when I came to this planet fitness in San Antonio it was a horrible experience. I wanted to take a video of myself on the stair master. There was no one else around me and yet an older manager came accosting me that I was violating planet fitness policy of no photos or videos allowed. There are over 2.1 MILLION video and photo posts on Instagram taken at planet fitness so idk how this all of sudden applies to me. There website also says you can take photos of yourself. The manager then proceeded to follow me around the rest of my time there and made me feel so uncomfortable. I then tried to cancel my membership but was told that because the membership renews on the 17th and today is 15th I would still be charged. Which seems unfair.

Today at 1:20pm I walked in with haste!Bettering my routine by always making time for the gym.I go in and scan my barcode.I am walking rapidly making my way to my work out.It is then that I suddenly hear my name “Karina” being shouted.I have to remove both my earbuds to turn over in a fright. When I first saw the membership fees I was a little skeptical but I love Planet Fitness. They are clean, have plenty of workout machines, weights, and cardio equipment. They also have a "wipe down equipment after you use" concept and I love that. I'm on the road a lot so I purchased their Black membership which allows me to use any Planet Fitness and if I wanted I could bring a friend.

I often come in the morning and like the convenience of showering here and heading to work right after. You should never rely on having a hot shower here. This place has had issues with ice cold showers since I’ve joined about a year ago. Seriously considering cancelling my membership. I’ve brought up my concern with the front desk numerous times but the problem persists. I honestly believe they simply don’t care about providing an exceptional experience for their customers. They want your money and that’s it. Find somewhere else as your primary gym if you expect to at least have a warm shower in the A.M. This place has no plans on remedying its issues.

This planet fitness is always clean and the environment is beautiful and the employees are wonderful and almost all the time equipment is working correctly. I drive out of my way to go to this planet fitness on Northwest military.

Cannot complain...cheap, clean and 24hrs..Not a heavy grunt and stack gym like Golds, but their machines hit the sweet spots other gyms dont.
