Been a member here for almost 8 years. I don't know if there has been a change in management but now when a machine is broken, it STAYS broken! Bicep curl machine and cable fly have been down almost a month. What's going on???

The place itself is good but the billing is terrible.

If you are billed for the 17th which is when it’s due. Planet fitness told me after my complaint that they can pull funds early on the 16th. if there isn’t any funds at that time it locks it for a couple of days showing it’s still at zero balance even though you know you owe the bill and put the funds in the morning it’s due. Ok fine you pull it on the 16th. PF shouldn’t lock it so the member can’t pay on the original card instead it shows zero balance until guess what there is a late charge that’s almost the same as the monthly fee. It’s ridiculous and bad business. That’s like having a house payment due on the 1st and the mortgage company says eh bc of our billing cycle we can choose to draft it earlier than that. Again if you at least able to pay right away especially if it’s on the actual due date you should be able to and not have it lock you out until it’s to late.

I'm a new member and every time I go Alyssa is there and happy to help. She's very friendly and funny. She anticipates my needs and is always so helpful. There are other workers who are just as friendly except one so far.
I didn't get the guys name but he was not helpful at all. When asked for help by his coworker he ignored them and when I asked what can be done to fix the frozen screen his response was "I don't know, just wait" in an irritated tone a.d proceeded to turn back around and not help.

I workout over night around 10:30/11 and the tall guy that works the desk is on his phone takes awhile before he actually acknowledges anyone.I don’t know his name he wasn’t wearing a name tag like everyone else does. If I could give no stars I’d give none! He’s very unprofessional not someone that should be working the front to greet members in, especially since he doesn’t greet anyone at all.

Honestly best planet fitness you will visit. They have the hack squat many smith machines, separated zones for different parts of the body. Locker rooms and showers are always clean! Front desk staff is kind and friendly. John I believehis name is was extremelykind and helpful today with my black card spa experience. He was very informative and so sweet. The massage chair was awesome. I always go around 9am to 1 pm and its never busy! This gym is so large and spacious.

I come here from time to time since 2023 but the stair masters are always broken, there’s only 4 of them and most of the time half of them are out of order. They have so many eliptical machines no one uses and are always empty. They should gey rid of those and get more stair masters and treadmills since thats what in high demand

First time ever going to a gym, and actually love going there
Some equipments sound like they need some oil to not be squeaky anymore, but other than that everything is working fine
Only thing which is really annoying, that everyone is sitting on the machine and being on their phone instead of working out, so it's a little annoying to wait for so long to use the machine they are on. Or even put their stuff on one machine and working out on another machines (like saving the spot?), shouldn't be like that

After I sadly had to cancel my membership after over 1 year , I have to say after they got the new equipments and remodeled the gym, everything got like squeezed together and gives you way less space to pass through other people.

Customer service is another critical aspect; I place significant importance on whether the staff greets members upon entry and how accessible they are for assistance.

During my visit, I found that this particular Planet Fitness had a substantial number of broken machines, with several signs indicating out-of-order equipment. This was disappointing, as it greatly affected the workout experience. In terms of cleanliness, the facility was maintained at a decent standard, which I appreciated. However, a notable downside was the requirement to bring a personal lock for the lockers, as the gym does not provide combination locks for the quick lockers. This lack of convenience was somewhat surprising.

The size of the gym is comparable to the typical Planet Fitness setup, falling into what I would describe as a medium-sized category. The number of treadmills available was adequate for the flow of foot traffic. However, I did find the presence of Smith machines to be lacking, which is an important aspect for those focusing on specific strength training areas.

(Fredericksburg Rd location)
I was in shower, I use handicap shower cuz Im disabled and cant stand for very long and very unsteady on my feet. (I use a cane to walk)
The first problem is there is no place to hang the shower head in the handicap shower and I cant hold the thing over my head the whole time Im trying to bathe. So, I tie the shower head to the bar on the wall across from the seat. However the bar is vertical and gravity works so, it slides down. This makes it impossible to rinse my hair unless I back up to it and squat down which, I absolutely cant do, my body just does not work that way. So my solution to this was to use one of the metal chairs from the dressing room. Then, while I was in the shower, the drain became clogged so, I cleared the clog and the water drained normal again and the issue was solved. So I thought. Next thing I know, someone is YELLING at me like Im a child that has gotten into mischief saying; "YOU NEED TO GET OUT OF THE SHOWER RIGHT NOW!!!"
I said I'm sorry why? I still have shampoo in my hair.
She yells back that the floor is wet and I replied that the drain was clogged but that I had cleared the clog and now the water is draining fine. Then she started yelling at me about having the chair in the shower.
I said that I was sorry for using the chair and I removed it. She screams at me a bit more before she finally leaves. I thought that was the end of it. Not by a long shot. The next thing I know, about 5 minutes later, shes in there SCREAMING at me again, once again telling me that I need to "GET OUT OF THE SHOWER RIGHT NOW!!!" I said;
"I'm sorry why? I cleared the clog, I removed the chair, what is the problem now? Im not doing anything wrong". She continues to YELL and tells me I need to move to another shower.
I said; "why? I cleared the clog and this is the ONLY handicap shower and I HAVE to use the handicap shower because Im disabled and its the only shower that has a place to sit and, since I cant use the chair, this is the only shower I can use", she screamed at me a bit more although I did not commit to memory what else she said. Not 5 minutes later she was back again, once again SCREAMING at me to "GET OUT OF THE SHOWER RIGHT NOW OR I'M CALLING THE POLICE!"
I said WHAT??? WHY???? Im NOT doing anything wrong!!!! She said "YOU HAVE BEEN IN THERE LONG ENOUGH!!!" I said I'm sorry I didnt know there was a time limit! I didn't see any signs up about a time limit and Im disabled, I CANT move fast! Because of my disability, I move extremely slow, this is not something I can help! She then tells me I have 5 min or she's calling the police. So, with conditioner still in my hair, I abandon my shower and begin to gather my hygiene products. Not 3 minutes later shes back AGAIN, yelling at me that I'm taking too long. I again reminded her that Im disabled and can't move fast and told her I was doing the best I could, I was moving as fast as I can.
Once I moved to the dressing room, I had THOUGHT there was no more issues. Wrong again. While I'm drying off and doing my skin care routine, (and just normal things women do after a shower) here she is screaming AGAIN. "YOU NEED TO LEAVE RIGHT NOW!!!"
I said Im sorry I dont understand what the problem is, do the dressing rooms have a time limit too? I've only been in here a few minutes and as I told you, I CANT move fast! I just CANT! I cant help my disability or that it makes me move slow, Im moving as fast as I can! She tells me again "YOU HAVE BEEN IN THERE LONG ENOUGH!!!" again I said, I'm sorry, I did not know there was a time limit on the dressing room, Im moving as fast as I can! She tells me I have 5 min to get dressed.
I left wet, with conditioner still in my hair and completely traumatized by the verbal abuse I endured for absolutely NO REASON.
I did everything she demanded as fast as my body is able to. Hurting myself in the process.
I just want to warn others that this is how you can expect to be treated at planet fitness.

This place is all around amazing. From wonderfully friendly staff to exceptional customer service, this is the where they do not judge. Here they have everything. I start with my full body stretches, come back to the stationary cycle for a good 45-minute cardio, then to my legs, work my way over to my core, then to my upper body and last I finish up with another 30-minute cardio on the stationary cycle once again.

This PF doesn't offer personal training sessions or group sessions (even though I pay for a black membership). Bummer considering I used to get these perks at other locations. Front desk lady told me to check new Braunfels. As in the adjacent city hahaha

The weights section is always packed with people too and I can never get on the upper body machines that I need.

I joined this location in June...have had no bad experiences...for the most part, staff are polite -- the gym is pretty clean. I should have listened to the one star reviews. They charge you despite freeze or cancellations. Jon the assistant manager is the rudest. He doesn't known what to do and certainly don't know how to deal with customers.
The reason of cancellation is that the gym is always full no matter what time you come in.

This is not only a gym, but also a place for people who absolutely do not utilize the gym to be a member of. You can shower and sleep here for $10 a month! Time and time again, there are homeless individuals who do not have memberships that sleep on the couch, massage chair or utilize the restrooms. They get a free day pass according to staff! The ones who may have a membership go, but sleep on the couch or massage chair leaving the actual gym goers to miss out on using it on multiple occasions. When you do get to use the massage chair you may find shaving razors in the seat so be careful.

Hands down the filthiest gym I've ever been to. Been coming here for over 6 months and the women's locker room is literally always dirty. There is trash, hair, dirt, and other garbage everywhere. Today was the last straw though. There was a used panty liner on the floor in the women's shower area. Manager was there along with three employees, including a female staff member. The gym wasn't even busy. There were only a dozen other members there. The entire time I was there, the staff lingered at the front desk talking with each other. There was no excuse for this locker room to be in this condition. It was dirty when I got there and the trash was still there after I left over an hour later. Not coming back!

I’ve been coming to this gym for 14 years. Staff are friendly and they keep it clean now (I couldn't say that 5 years ago). The only complaint I have and that I made several times to no avail is that, since the covid crisis is over the clients do not clean machines before or after use. This bugs me to death, so I just clean before I use a machine but I’m not sure why the staff refuse to address it with people. I guess they are afraid of piano business but I’m afraid of stuff like covid and the flu which is most important to me. It should be to them. Anyway, I do love this place.

Admittedly I liked it. I use to go to the gym so I was familiar with the equipment. However, if you're new you're at a disadvantage . The manager ? and the man who took my picture were nice and informative. However ,the Mexican man I spoke to leaving the gym acted as if any questions infringed on his time.
All in all I liked it. Yes I like to talk but I can hold off till I'm out of the gym. And exercise is important.

Definitely the friendliest staff I've come across in a while.
Only 1 butterfly machine.
No mirrors or waste receptacles in the tanning rooms, (if that's something you're into)
Automatic faucets in the locker make washing your shaker cup out difficult.
