A good old school heavy bodybuilding gym any flaws it has really come out in the wash with the events and the community only negative Iβve seen is the lack of traditional cardio equipment but if you really need it you can go out and do farmers carryβs in the yard

Best gym I have ever been to hands down. This is a real grindhouse. If youβre looking to keep your hair gel in tact or looking to not sweat, this place is not for you. This gym is a real gem . A diamond in the sand in my honest opinion.

Just came by this gym and man was this awesome crazy lighting in my opinion and the machines although rusty still performed to my expectations if your coming into this gym expecting something like planet fitness or retro fitness your wrong youβre here to workout and sweat like crazy if thatβs not you and your wanting AC kick rocks man definitely coming back again when Iβm in Houston straight business here bringing those old bodybuilding vibes man!

Their web site says, Go Hard or Go Home. I think I'd rather stay home than go to this place. The website makes it sound like a bunch of egotist go here. People working out without shirts, throwing tires around, etc.. When a facility focuses on mass, you just get a lot of members who don't know what they are doing. I've been in the business 35 years, and I ought to know.

A friend and I were visiting from out of town and showed up before the doors were open, totally our fault. That said, within minutes both the property manager (and her adorable chihuahuas) and the owner were there without us even calling them to open the doors and welcome us back. Our ride was already there to pick us up so we couldn't go in, but these are definitely the kind of people I want to support, and can't wait to come back and lift in a few months, the atmosphere is perfect, like something out of a bodybuilding movie.

Awesome old school gym with a lot of great history. The horizontal leg press was used by Arnold and they have an original Universal lat machine. If you are looking to stay clean while you lift this isn't the place for you but if you want to hit a lift on some old school equipment with some cool history this is the place for you.

This place is totally awesome! Went here to film for the Harvey movie and the owner is really cool and laid back. He offered his place to be a shelter during the actual Hurricaine Harvey. Very generous person who welcomes everyone with open arms.

Iβve been coming to this gym since November 2018. I love this place. Luis, the owner, is serious about fitness, just pay your f*cken dues! I can get a great workout without having to wait for a machine. Itβs never crowded and thereβs no intimidation. Thereβs no A/C but I go to the gym to sweat, not be comfortable. This is what a gym should be. No BS.

No frills old-school gym, if you're SERIOUS about getting stronger then this is the place to do it. The atmosphere is grueling, but not intimidating, most of the people who train here are very dedicated and everyone I met was very polite and always willing to help. Plenty of free weights and racks, atlas stones in the back and a grassy area for the sleds. Owner is super badass, the epitome of how a small business owner should conduct themselves, cares about his customers and is very active in the community. You can tell he wants to elevate his surroundings by bringing everyone up instead of leaving people behind, a great example of what the entire city should be striving to attain.

no gimmick, just a good gym. great vibe. no jerks. the owner is super cool and he cares about the atmosphere. Great outdoor equipment (tires, chains, atlas balls, etc) equipment is always operational. you'll see equipment that you won't find at the franchises. Downside- no ac, that's about it. highly recommend

Perfect old school style gym.. If your trying to get away from overpriced and uncaring gyms or want to try something new I highly recommend power house houston.. Personal trainers are available and flexible, gym fees are very reasonable.. There is equipment inside and out that fits any exercising need.. The place is always growing and the owner is constantly finding new equipment.. Stop by and check it out ask for Luis the owner
