If I could leave ZERO STARS I would. The AUDACITY of this place is comical really. The staff was rude as hell to say the least. I was forced to sign a 12 month contract before I was even offered a tour of the place. I signed up went to work out and was horrified by what I saw. This place is disgusting. The ceiling is literally falling in, in multiple places. It smells like mold mildew and has not been cleaned in probably ten years or more. The equipment was broke down. The staff was so unhelpful and tacky. Do Not Waste your time or your money with this trashy place!! There are so many better places in town that are 100x better all the way around. ITS VERY OBVIOUS that there are major issues ranging from structural, to plumbing and even exercise equipment that have clearly been left in those conditions for quite some time- certainly long before I came there. Why on earth would I want to give that another chance or even risk my health or safety in such an environment?
I will be calling BBB and health department on this place the only thing Premier about it is the bad attitude from the manager.

EDIT: luckily I’ve discovered I actually did NOT sign a contract so there shouldn’t be any further issue, or contact from this company. Would I like my money back? Of course but maybe yall need it more than I do, fix your mess! Do better!!

This place is a DUMP attended a Basketball Tournament there this weekend. AC in gyms was inoperable is what we was told a 48 inch fan to move the hot air around was it , 1 of the Men's restroom was out of order the one that was working was nasty and trash all over floor , trash cans were all full and trash overflowing on ground. I understand that kids will be kids and make a mess but the Facility should have had custodians on hand to keep the facility clean and trash cans emptied. They sure had workers in the concession stand selling 3 dollar bottles of water.

I am extremely disappointed with our experience at Premier Sportsplex, sadly even after years of my husband attending adult basketball leagues and our children attending summer camps. The referees for the sixth and seventh-grade games show a complete lack of interest in reffing. Instead of providing guidance or correcting mistakes, they simply shake their heads in disbelief, which is not helpful for the kids trying to learn.

One referee even got into an altercation with parents due to his unprofessional behavior. There were times when no whistles were blown, even when our players were clearly fouled, including a flagrant slap to the face. Instead of taking responsibility for his actions, he made a vague threat about being "from Chicago," which was completely uncalled for.

To make matters worse, the manager, Brandon, called to get our side of the story but spent the entire conversation talking over us. He even fabricated claims that parents threatened violence, which is absurd.

If we didn’t have to continue attending this place for the rest of the season, I would absolutely choose not to. It's a shame that such a poor experience has overshadowed what should be a fun and educational environment for our kids.

Love love Premier Sportsplex 4 basketball 🏀 courts to choose from what. I always shoot around 20 minutes before my workout for cardio so I better results for muscle buildup hint hint yeah will never go anywhere else truly best gym in my opinion!!!

Extremely disappointed in this facility and the policies they have. I have 3 boys, often I have 1 or 2 extra boys with me at a time. We are always at premier for one thing or another. My kids participate in the premier basketball league's. So we are very familiar with premier as a whole. My kids also participate in a basketball clinic. It is ran exceptionally well. HOWEVER, I have to have a membership for myself (who doesn’t do anything in premier, I don’t play basketball or lift in this facility) but in order for my son to go to clinic at this facility I have to either buy a membership for MYSELF and MY SON (so two memberships) or I have to pay $20 everytime we attend the clinic. While that sucks I have paid my dues. BUT today I was simply going to watch my boys do the clinic. I paid for the ONE KID who was actually doing the clinic. I had his friend with me, who was just going to SIT beside me while my son did the clinic. OH NO they wanted to charge me $20 for my son’s friend to SIT ON THE BENCH BESIDE ME! Highway robbery! I wouldn’t have even bat an eyelash if you charged me $5 for my sons friend. I wouldn’t have liked it but I would have understood. $20 for a kid to walk in and sit on the bench is so outrageous I can’t even fathom it. ZERO out of ten would I recommend this place. Supply in demand though right? We don’t have another option so let’s just take full advantage of people.

Spent the weekend in Lubbock watching my granddaughter at this gym and even worse the Reese Premier gym. Southwest Hoops and premier should be ashamed having kids play in these conditions. Having a tournament in gyms that have no air conditioning much less inadequate fans in July in Texas is ridiculous. The gym floors at Reese are the worse I have ever seen. I could speak for days about how bad the officiating at Reese was. The cost of this tournament per team and the cost to spectators Southwest hoops could of done much better. I would of liked to put a review up for SW but they don’t allow that. We will never attend a tournament that the gyms are being used again.

Kerry Thuett is wonderful! She has taught me more about health, my body, and nutrition in just a few visits than I've learned in the past 10 years! In my first week working with her I lost 9 lbs! You're paying for variety here. Most of the funds I'm assuming go to the new complex because the gym has A LOT of things it needs to be worked on. It's an old gym and a lot of the equipment and the complex is run down. Be it there is a lot of equipment and things to do for the price. The complex can get crazy as this place hosts tournaments. Overall a great gym to workout.

It’s ok if you don’t expect too much. Large facility and a lot of machines. But there’s always maintenance issues when I go (no soap, no antibacterial spray, no paper towels etc.). The women’s only area upstairs is pretty sad, always too hot and the machines are old and broken. Also there’s a guy who likes to turn all the tv’s to Fox News, even though he’s not watching them. Annoying.

Update: I’ve noticed a lot of the machines have been fixed and there seems to be more maintenance workers.

I would not recommend anybody getting a membership at premier. They give priority to reservations (because they charge for them) over people who are paying memberships monthly to enjoy the basketball courts. The least that they could do is leave one court in the entire facility not reserved in order that their members, who are in there way more than once a week, can enjoy the basketball court as well. It is especially significant when the only reason I got a membership was to play basketball, yet the courts are always unavailable. Premier was blessed with an influx of business due to the Coronavirus, but I do not see myself hooping there once the Texas Tech Rec Center opens up again. A lot of people who go up their feel the exact same way.

We went to the sportsplex for a volleyball tournament and it was so cold. I will encourage my volleyball club not to do tournaments in Lubbock because this is the second time we've had to freeze in the sport plex gyms. I mean just warm it up a little!!! Geeze!! Or don't host the tournaments!!

Not great, but not bad. One of the few gyms in town that has at least one basketball court (they have 4), and that's really the only reason I'm a member. Plus I never have a hard time finding a game when I want to play pick up. The courts are nice, but at times it can feel like a sauna, so get those towels ready. It's kind of pricey once you consider they not one, but two "enhancement" fees in the contract. Not sure what they are for exactly, but okay.

(ACTUALLY A 3.5 STAR) Now any person who is a casual to serious lifter will notice right off the bat that the equipment here is somewhat old. That being said, from the machines and free weights I have used they are all in pretty good condition. I haven't had a bad lift yet and I haven't had to wait for a machine or weights due to the fact that it is almost never a full house. They also have a room with newer weight machines. There is only one squat rack and a Smith machine, but there are other alternatives to back squatting here so don't worry! Overall I can't say I'm disappointed but I'm also not overly impressed. For a place that is not specifically designed to be a weight lifting gym, it gets the job done.👌👍

My family had a discounted membership through my work. My family enjoyed it for the most part. In fact, we’ll probably use it every summer for the pool and racquetball. But the cardio machines are pretty terrible and it’s usually pretty hot and looks pretty run down.
