I normally don't do reviews at all but I had to express the disappointment in my first experience here. My 5 year old daughter has wanted to do cheerleading for a while and I thought this place would be perfect seeing how close to our house it was and mostly good reviews so I signed her up for a trial class. When we arrived, I introduced ourselves and said we were there for a trial class which i was then told I needed to fill out the release form which I already had done and then she preceded to answer the phone telling me to wait. The other front desk lady was super nice and verified the release form was completed and took us to where we needed to go and was told at the end of the class the instructor would come talk to me about how she did and if she liked it, we could sign up at the front desk for the class. I watched the entire class and the instructors hardly smiled and showed zero enthusiasm in the class. It honestly came off that they were annoyed they had to do the 4 and 5 year old class instead of the more advanced classes. At the end of class, my daughter found me and the instructor saw me with my daughter but turned away and both of them vanished so no update as to how she did in the class (which i tood myself whatever, my daughter said she liked it and seemed to enjoy herself). I then walk up to the front desk to talk to them about signing up and waited for them to finish their conversation with someone else and that same dismissive front desk lady just told me to sign up online even though I was told in the beginning I could do it there. I wanted to like this place because I saw my daughter already make a friend in the class but how can someone want to join when the front staff is dismissive and the instructors look like they could care less about being there. I do want to say thank you to the one front desk lady that was actually nice and helpful and just wish more of the staff had the same enthusiasm as her. I have also decided to include a screenshot of an instructor on their phone during the class to show part of the experience there.

My wife paused(for the summer, as we did plan on coming back in the fall) Stella's class until the school year started back up in the fall. You continued charging our credit card because of your "policy." You did not reach out with any resolution, nor did you try and work it out. You just wanted the end result to get more money in your pocket.
I had a "policy" as well when I had over 100 clients as a tennis pro in Highland Park, but I also understood the value of a relationship over money and policies. Choosing relationships over money was seen as more valuable to my clients, thus awarding me more referrals and clients.
It's clear to me you do not value relationships, just money based on your policies.
Who's wants insincere staff and coaches that only care about money, influencing their kids?! No parent in their right mind!

Called to get more information on enrolling my daughter for cheer and the lady that answered the phone kept directing me to the website after every question I asked. I told her I wouldn’t be calling If the website gave me all the answers I needed. I asked if there’s someone around that can actually answer my questions about enrolling my daughter for cheer. She just laughed and again directed me to the website. Horrible, I mean horrible customer service. No thanks!
They also have several reviews about how rude the front desk is. I’m not surprised!

My daughter has been at ProSpirit for 5 years and she loves it! The gym is like a family, every coach knows each athlete and truly cares about them. The owners take the time to listen and be present. We are so grateful for this positive environment for our child.

This may be long but I have nothing negative to say about this gym nor the staff. The first person you see when you walk in is Starr. Starr knows her stuff and she is always smiling and makes everyone laugh. She is the most amazing front desk lady ever. 💜 she has the kindest heart and always give the best advice and information for parents and athletes. If you ask her something she has the answer 99.9% of the time. My daughter has been going here for almost 6 years and she treats both my kids like they are her own! We love you Starr! Thank you for everything you do for not only my kids but everyone here! She never says anything negative about anyone or anything and always has a smile on her face. 💜
PS if you have ever heard anything different from what I have said above you don’t know who you are talking about.

Went to Pro Spirit today to watch my 4 yr old granddaughter attend a trial class. This was her very 1st time ever trying anything like this. I was extremely disappointed observing the 2 coaches (mainly the 1 coach). I never, not 1x saw any enthusiasm, a smile or even an attempt at seeming to enjoy what she was doing or want to truly help the girls. What I did see was eye rolling and a sour look on her face. Disappointing experience.

I ultimately am very disappointed that I’m even having to write this review…i spent 9 years there as a kid and teenager competing. It was so great back then! I hadn’t been back until today so I could let my 4 year old take a “free” trial class. I wanted her to see if she liked it compared to her previous sport, soccer. Upon arriving, I didn’t feel overly welcomed in by the front desk staff. Definitely not the same warm and friendly energy they used to have from Mrs. Cathy way back when. During the class, my daughter was told multiple times by a young blonde “coach” to “just stand and watch” another classmate and then try to try the skill…. the coaches were acting as if she knew what she was doing by not offering assistance first. She appeared blatantly annoyed having to help her. She did not smile. She was not encouraging. She was impatient and spoke to her in a rude tone. She is 4 and this is her first time even trying a back bend. I can understand competitiveness getting older and being more serious, but this was for fun… she did not have fun. In fact, she asked to go to a different place afterwards.

Great place for classes but rude front desk staff. They are very unfriendly, unapproachable and smirky. If it wasn’t for the skills of the coaches and other staff, I wouldn’t waste my time. I hope they get better training on customer service.

I took my daughter for a trial class. They were very friendly and the office people took my daughter to the waiting area. Then they proceed to take me to the parent area (which was closed) to show me the space and they answered all of my questions.
When the class was over, the coach took his time to talk to me and remind my daughter about a technique she needed help.
Overall very detailed and friendly place.

I have had my daughter at 3 other places before we came to Pro Spirit .... I wasn't seeing the progress I was wanting for her, and we felt she needed a tad more. Within a month, she was technically better, and had already mastered her back handspring and back walk over. 1 month of training. 6 yrs old. For her and us, it's been amazing. She loves to come to practice. Loves Coach Zach. I highly recommend. Thanks! Nate
