I’m really disappointed in PSA. I signed my son up for flag football and he has been soo excited to start. But now I have to break his 6y heart and tell him he can’t play, because they “can’t find a team” to place him on. VERY DISAPPOINTED and upset with them, there was never anything stating there’s a chance they can’t be placed on a team.

We’ve been apart of PSA for a few volleyball seasons. This agency is great for providing the space for practice and games. The scheduling of games seems to be hit-or-Miss. Referees for volleyball seem to know what they’re doing along with the score keeper.

The current officiating has been extremely inconsistent, with technical fouls being handed out unnecessarily and little room for players, coaches, or even parents to ask questions. It’s frustrating and disappointing to see games impacted by power trips rather than fair play.

Very disappointed in PSA and the leadership team. They have incorrectly seeded our basketball team which I noticed the first day the bracket was released. I notified PSA of the mess up via email, phone call and text and didn’t hear back for over a week! Now they email me the day before the incorrectly scheduled game and tell me the brackets are locked! Now my kids don’t get to play in the correct seeding which screws up more than I care to mention here. This should’ve been an easy quick fix. Marcus and Toya and all of PSA have failed my boys hard work.

If your child is a beginner to sports, please read to learn from our mistake.
My advice is to find a different organization than PSA McKinney to introduce them to sports. Most of the teams have been playing together for years. So if your child is a beginner, they will be put on a team of only beginners instead of disseminated out to existing teams. I believe in teaching kids resilience and that life is tough, but it’s hard to learn a love for sports if you’re getting destroyed by experienced teams 1-2 times a week.

This place is a good rec center for all sports however there is almost never a soccer referee at the games leaving the parents are the coaches to referee. We paid too much money for soccer registration for their not to be a referee. That is unacceptable.

A Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience

I would like to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the conduct of a young indoor soccer referee at your facility. His behavior towards parents during a recent game was nothing short of appalling. The referee addressed parents with a condescending and disrespectful tone, as if we were children rather than adults. Such conduct is completely unacceptable and creates a hostile environment for all those involved in the game.

It is disheartening to witness such a lack of professionalism from someone in a position of authority, particularly in a youth sports setting. Children look up to referees as role models, and their behavior should reflect the values of sportsmanship and respect. Instead, we were subjected to a display of arrogance and immaturity.

I urge PSA to take immediate action to address this issue and ensure that all staff, including referees, are properly trained in customer service and conflict resolution. It is imperative that parents feel respected and valued when attending their children's sporting events. Until such measures are taken, I cannot in good conscience recommend PSA as a suitable venue for youth sports.

Just only 1 star because this branch is way cleaner than their Plano branch where entire facility smells like aged urine.

Further to that, it is an incredibly unprofessional, ridiculous establishment that schedules matches for tiny kids living in the McKinney area at the crack of dawn and makes them play at the Plano branches. They have matches for five- and six-year-old kids at seven or eight in the morning. The scheduling is extremely amateur.

Beyond that, the referees are terrible. Almost all of the referees are clueless teenagers who have no idea what they're doing. They know nothing about volleyball and make absurd decisions. It's frustrating and nerve-wracking.

You spend the whole year training with your child, only to have a final match ruined by incompetent referees making ridiculous calls. Avoid this place. There are much better and more professional places where your children can practice. Don't waste your money enriching this establishment.

While watching Storm volleyball's 11s or 12s team at a tournament, I was disappointed by their unsportsmanlike behavior. The players were heckling and chanting during the other team's serves, particularly yelling "we want a net ball" in an attempt to distract them. This behavior reflects poorly on the coaching staff and the values that PSA aims to uphold. Sports should be about building character, not encouraging poor sportsmanship.

In addition to the scam of not getting half of what you pay for, its a huge safety hazard here and they rely on the false security of a background check and a glass wall.
They say our 3 year olds have to be behind a glass wall where we can’t get to them. I asked how to go around this and be on the sidelines for my child, and they said you have to be a coach. Well there can only be so many coaches, and only a certain 1 or 2 on the field at once. So regardless we all have to get over it and leave our kids where we can’t get to them? Older kids I’d understand but these kids are 3!!!! What if someone grabs my child? What if they get hurt?
I stated this to a man there telling all the parents to get off the field. He told me “well everyone who is staying in here has a background check” I know PLENTY of people who can pass a background check that I wouldn’t let my child within 50 feet of because they’re bad people. He said “well it’s a liability” so it’s not a liability to leave 3 year olds without parental access?
Also, you’d think they would want to encourage kids to enjoy sports. But how will they do that if they’re crying their eyes out because their guardian left them? Not many 3 year olds want to be without mom or dad or whoever they trust in a new scary very loud place. And not many moms or dads or guardians in general trust strangers with their 3 year old just because there’s a false security of glass and a background check. So many parents just took their kids home and never returned. The team has dwindled. It’s very sad and this place absolutely sucks.
Also I paid 70 dollars and was told it includes a jersey. I, like everybody else, never got one. Our coach had to order some that we had to pay extra for which wasn’t his fault.

I'm not too fond of PSA. The courts are shorter for kids 5-10. Therefore kids are not getting the real exercise on a full court. It does help for them to learn skills but that is only if they have a great coach who also teaches the kids how to practice individual techniques.

My family has had a poor experience with this league. There is little to no communication from the front office. The season will start without no notification or the schedule being released. Game times will change within days of the game with no notifications from the league or coaches. Our coach will change days and practice times within hours of the practice. I have not had such a poor experience with other sports leagues in the area. My son will not be participating in this league again.

Complete and utter pandemonium. I witnessed a guy ram a parked car in the lot as a result of trying to race another parent to a coveted spot. As in improvement, I would encourage the administration to schedule games a bit more spaced out so that the place is not so crowded. To be fair, I am from rural east Texas (tend to deflect from crowded areas) but it seems both the parking lot and the building were at max capacity last weekend.

My daughter is playing indoor soccer there and I am not happy, i expected better . She has played two games ( games started Nov 30th next game is 7th Jan and we have No jersey) , we payed for the jersey still no jersey, her team has 11 players , difficult for all the players to get a chance to play …. There has only been one practicing session which was not indoors and the ground was not maintained at all ….serenity park near Wolford .
