A few of the hardest things to find when you move to a new area are a new hairstylist, a church family, friends, and a gym. At Pure Barre I found my new favorite gym and friends! My classes at PBCS are the best part of my day. It was a great way to get back into shape after a long break - it’s low impact (great for my elder millennial joints) but incredibly effective at toning. The instructors are friendly, knowledgeable, and give effective verbal cues and personalized corrections that make it beginner friendly and easy to follow. The best part, though, is the uplifting community of members and PBCS staff. The classes are fun and the extra events (like book club, member socials, and pop-up events) has made it easy to stick with and genuinely fun to be a part of!

I’ve always known that I need to exercise for my health, but nothing ever really worked for me in the past. I paid monthly fees to various gyms—while the cost wasn’t terrible, I just ended up not going.

What’s different about Pure Barre is the way it’s set up—it genuinely motivates you to show up. Their app helps you track your progress, and the environment is friendly, supportive, and safe. All the instructors, and even the front desk staff, know your name, which makes you feel truly welcomed.

They also host fun celebrations and events. For example, they gave out beautiful flowers for Mother’s Day and celebrated members’ milestones (like completing 10, 50, 100, 250 sessions and beyond). They’ve even offered free workouts in various locations. I once joined an outdoor session with my son—it was a unique and enjoyable experience!

Since joining Pure Barre, I’ve consistently attended 8 sessions every month for over a year. I’ve felt a real difference: my stress levels are lower, my posture and balance have improved, and my back pain has significantly decreased.

Yes, it costs more than a regular gym, but it’s completely worth it— especially for those who struggle with motivation to exercise. It truly works.

I am glad I discovered Pure Barre College Station 2,5 years ago. I tried multiple different intensity formats before but none of them gave me results I was looking for. Pure Barre did. Low impact high intensity classes are fun and effective for all ages. They have weights, streach and toning classes. We have members from students to people like me 50+. The studio is clean and beautifuly arranged and instructors are super professional and friendly. Being new to the area all my friends now from PBCS! I am looking forward coming here every time. Granted it is not cheap but it certainly worth it.

I’ve been consistently working out here since it opened in 2018. The workouts are always challenging, and the instructors are so nice and encouraging!

I love the “Empower” (cardio) class format the most. It’s quick, fast-paced, and always gets your heart rate up.

“Define” is a great new addition that challenges you by lifting heavier (up to 20 point) weights. The instructor calls out the moves but it’s always at your own pace and only as many reps as you can do. I love it!

Pure Barre College Station is awesome! I fell in love with the PB technique in Ann Arbor several years ago and am overjoyed that a studio has come to B/CS. Pure Barre College Station is my happy place. Pure Barre offers 5 different workouts in one studio, which gives me variety, flexibility and great workouts every time. My husband comments all the time about what great shape I’m in. And my athlete son says it’s the hardest workout he’s ever done. Every format is a full-body workout, and the choreography is always challenging. The instructors are incredible and encouraging and somehow manage to remember everyone's name. But Pure Barre College Station offers so much more than just a workout. It’s a family of supportive, empowering women that I look forward to seeing every time I walk in the door. It’s a judgement-free group of (mostly) women, although some men do occasionally workout with us. Gone are the days of walking uncomfortably through a room filled with workout machines I don’t know how to use, people posing in the mirror, and scantily clad men & women whose main purpose may or may not be to make me feel like an awkward, middle-aged woman. But don’t take my word for it, Come try it out for yourself. It will be the best New Year’s present you can give yourself.

Pure Barre has allowed me to put my mental and physical health as a priority. I love the instructors, barre-tenders at the front desk and classmates. The most discouraging experience. I did not respond well to my first class, so I went ahead and canceled my membership out of concern. Mind you, the free workout isn't a real complete workout or actual class, very misleading. The texts and e-mail exchange were perfectly kind between both parties until the OWNER, one of the instructors, Colleen, was so ugly and nasty to me over email. All I wanted to do was cancel my membership. I have the paper trail and evidence, if posting photos is necessary. What a fake community and only in it for the money. If you have any medical concerns or disabilities, DO NOT go here. The positive reviews sound like paid actors too. This is how you act whenever someone says no or asks to cancel?? Zero apologies too.

Pure Barre staff and barre tenders are so great about being welcoming! I never feel like I am invisible here. I have struggled with social anxiety all of my life, but when I teach Pure Barre, my heart speaks over my anxiety. I love what Pure Barre can do for people mentally and physically. The small movements in class may look like nothing, but they are everything and do wonders for my body! Pure Barre has helped me gain self-confidence again and given me a sense of community. Pure Barre is my new favorite type of workout. I’ve done a lot of pilates in the past, but I like using weights during my workout and traditional pilates doesn’t use weights. Pure Barre is able to bring the two together while adding more dance elements to make every workout more challenging! I also like that every class is different, and that everyone is so friendly!

I think I’ve tried every type of workout there is over the last 20 years, and there have been some that I have really enjoyed, even loved. But I have never done anything else like Pure Barre!
