I’ve had a membership at Pure for a little over two years and have never experienced this workout getting “old” or “boring”. Every class feels intentional and challenging without being intimidating. I’ve noticed such a difference in my strength, posture, and overall body awareness since joining. The small class sizes make it feel really personal, and the community here is so positive and encouraging. All of the instructors are amazing but would highly recommend Taylor R and Kristen N. Taylor taught my very first class two years ago and has consistently continued to not only teach amazing- very challenging classes but also insure that everyone does so safely. She has a very special way of making you feel welcome even when you may have no idea what’s going on (don’t worry you’ll catch on fast!). Kristen quickly became another instructor I enjoyed consistently signing up for! She greets everyone and is extremely kind no matter what’s happening! She plays some of the best music and makes sure the vibe is fun! I always feel like I got an amazing workout after her classes! You really can’t go wrong here!! I highly recommend trying Pure if you’re interested in Lagree!

Pure Pilates is a great studio! The gym is simple but clean, with everything you need for a solid workout. The classes are well-structured and definitely tough — in the best way possible. You really feel challenged, but also accomplished by the end.

The instructors are motivating and make sure you’re using the right form, which makes the workout both safe and effective. It’s a no-frills environment that keeps the focus on results, and I really appreciate that.

If you’re looking for a place in Austin that delivers challenging, effective pilates classes in a supportive setting, Pure Pilates is an excellent choice.

My sister and I did the 1-month unlimited intro package for $180 and completed 20 classes, so we really got to experience the studio!

Overall, we enjoyed the pace and structure of the classes. Most sessions are a slower burn with a strong focus on legs and glutes. The 45-minute format is a great sweet spot - it feels efficient and effective. Parking is also easy, with a few spots up front and a larger lot just a short walk away.

That said, there are a few areas that could improve the experience:

• Modifications: Instructors do a great job offering more advanced and challenging variations for experienced clients, which we appreciated, but they don’t consistently provide modifications for those on the flip side. While we’ve seen instructors occasionally bring over balance poles or offer tweaks, this could be done much more consistently. Some students clearly struggle with certain movements, but rarely get offered alternative options like switching to forearms or adjusting spring tension. It often feels like you’re either expected to push through or figure it out yourself. Including more beginner-friendly modifications would make the classes feel more inclusive and supportive.
• Form corrections: Most instructors give general cues to the room, like “keep your hips square,” but there’s little individual feedback. It would be helpful if instructors walked around and gave personalized adjustments (with consent), especially when someone’s form is clearly off or they’re unsure if they’re doing something right. Small, specific corrections can make a huge difference in both results and injury prevention.
• Muscle engagement and intent: One class with Minjae really stood out - she explained exactly where we should be feeling the burn (outer glutes), and offered a simple adjustment (shift hips back) if we were feeling it in the wrong place (quads). That kind of clear, technical guidance helps so much in understanding how to activate the right muscles. More of this across instructors would be incredibly valuable.
• Class structure: It’d be great to have some targeted classes - not every class needs to be full-body. A few sessions focused on arms/back or core would help people build a more balanced weekly routine and keep things feeling fresh.
• Stretching: The cool-down at the end of class is often rushed. Adding even just 5 minutes of guided stretching would help release tension and end class on a more intentional note.
• Studio space: More mirrors would be super helpful for checking and correcting form. Right now, only a few sides of the room have mirrors, which limits visibility.

All that said, we truly enjoyed our month here and felt supported and challenged throughout. The instructors bring great energy, and the studio offers a solid foundation for anyone getting into Pilates. Thank you for creating such a welcoming space - excited to see how things continue to evolve!

My friend has been raving about this place. I went to book and saw that the equipment. Ironic to be called “pure pilates” when they’re teaching on lagree equipment... A totally different method from pilates. Better studios teaching real pilates and not false advertising what they’re teaching

Pure Pilates is a wonderful light and airy Pilates studio for my boutique intimate visits for when I'm looking to get my butt kicked for 50 minutes. I'm impressed to see this place is still as beautiful as the day I stopped by when I saw I came back in 2017, and now as a mom who needs to work on her mobility, health and core strength meets posture, this place did not disappoint!

I've met Zilla, who Ally, the owner teaches some sessions on Wednesdays and I can get my doggy cuddles while I am getting my Pilates workout on? Win win! Even better is they're close by my office, which makes it a quick walk over!

Sold! And with utilizing ClassPass and being friendly and no pressure, this is my kind of place and one that I plan to return to for a local boutique studio for my wellness and fitness goals!

Can absolutely say I love it here. It’s the highlight of my week coming here. As a weightlifter very focused on form and nothing erratic, I was skeptical. The instructors are very focused on slow and controlled movements with good form. Taking these classes have helped my weightlifting significantly. If you want coaches that are obviously the best of the best, I’d recommend this place.

Accidentally deleted my original review instead of updating it. Customer support was super responsive and accommodating once we discovered there was an issue with my email not allowing any responses to come through!

Instructors here are great, and Emma is the best of the best!

I have been doing pilates for about 8 years now and I loved the challenge of going to a class at pure pilates! I was previously attending red bird until they shut down and needed a new go to place for reformer work. I loved the class so much! The instructor was amazing!

I joined the domain location almost two months ago and have never felt more welcome at a new studio! Workouts are tough (in a good way of course) but the instructors are always encouraging and offer helpful tips along the way.

These have been some of the best workouts I’ve had in quite a while. And if you’re a guy who hits the gym regularly, this kind of Pilates will take your strength training to new levels. This is the kind of core training that will help you break through any plateaus you might have with exercises like the bench press, squat, or deadlift.

Also, Emma is one of the best instructors I’ve had as far as any group fitness classes go. She will hold you accountable when it comes to form and intensity without making it feel personal. She is all-around one of the best communicators and most personable people I’ve come across.

The Megaformer is the star of the show, front and center. Marcela rocks the Domain location, and keeps the apparatus from being a distraction. Sometimes we feel like mat Pilates with bands, but sometimes only the Megaformer will do.

Atmosphere: friendly and inviting! Small studio space with about 10 Pilates machines, store merchandise and small cubbies for personal items.

Classes: I have tried the sculpt class with Vanessa twice and I loved it! This was my first experience taking Pilates and I felt very at ease for my first time. You can purchase two classes for $30 available on their website for first timers to their studio. They are also a part of Class Pass.

Recommendation: Have some fitness experience before coming, doesn't need to be Pilates but definitely not the place to start your first fitness class ever. Wear or buy socks with traction on the bottom you need socks you cannot wear shoes on the machines. If you are new show up early to sign in and get a quick lesson. Bring your own water bottle classes are fast paced so you don't have to run to the fountain.
