I attended a wonderful yin class with stretching and working muscles. Karen gave options for each pose to customize to each person's own level. Very peaceful and a great stress reliever. Wish I lived closer!

The session was absolute magic for me. It was such a relaxing and calming experience. I have been interested in this for a long time but was too shy to try it. Fearing what a healing session might be like, it was so totally the opposite. If you are interested I suggest trying it. The worst it would do is to calm or relax you.

This studio has opened up many opportunities and experiences for myself going through my yoga journey -that I have truly been so grateful for-even more grateful for the friends I have made in this community.
I feel so welcomed and loved walking through those doors.
Thank you for hosting such a safe and sacred space for full moon circle and to the wonderful instructors in the classes I have joined.
The location, the instructors, the price, and just the beautiful people you can meet! You can’t beat it.
If I could put 10 stars I would.

I travel for a living and try to find a yoga studio in each city. Pure Prana Path was by far one of my favorites. I took 3 classes yin, yin and yang, and a vinyasa flow. Each class was a work of art. The energy of the studio is so beautiful and each instructor was perfection. 10 out of 10 I reccomend taking a class here!

In San Antonio, a city known for its bustling River Walk and Alamo, there exists a hidden sanctuary that offers respite from urban chaos. Tucked away off Loop 410, Pure Prana Path Yoga & Wellness nestles within the verdant 18-acre oasis known as Los Patios, a property with roots dating back to 1968 when founder John Spice envisioned a space where city dwellers could reconnect with nature.
Approaching Pure Prana Path requires a moment of faith. The nondescript entrance from Loop 410 belies what awaits beyond. As you descend the access road, civilization seems to recede. Mature live oak trees form a natural canopy, their sprawling branches filtering sunlight onto stone pathways. The transition is immediate and disorienting—how can such tranquility exist mere feet from a major highway?
The yoga studio itself embodies the property's ethos of natural integration. Prayer flags flutter in gentle breezes, strung across both outdoor walkways and interior spaces. Large windows dissolve boundaries between indoors and out, allowing practitioners to feel immersed in the surrounding woodland during classes. The wooden flooring, warm and responsive underfoot, complements walls adorned with hand-painted trees and lotus flowers—visual reminders of the nature-mindfulness connection.
"We don't consider ourselves just a yoga studio," explains a staff member. "We're a sanctuary for the soul." This philosophy permeates everything from the studio's perfect 5.0-star rating to its thoughtful amenities: loaner mats for unprepared visitors, by-donation water bottles, and a welcoming atmosphere that prioritizes mindful practice over intensive group fitness.
Unlike corporate yoga chains with their mirrored walls and pumping music, Pure Prana Path embraces a more contemplative approach. The Sunday morning class with instructor Karen Brenner exemplifies this difference. Students arrive unhurried, exchanging quiet greetings while selecting props from neatly organized shelves. There's no competitive energy, no performative posturing—just individuals seeking connection in a space purposefully designed for presence.
The studio's retail area reflects similar intentionality. Shelves display carefully curated items: locally made massage oils, handcrafted jewelry, spiritual texts, and sustainable yoga accessories. A chalkboard lists services beyond asana practice: reiki sessions, spiritual guidance readings, cord-cutting ceremonies. Price points remain accessible, with drop-in classes at $25 and various membership options.
Los Patios itself has weathered San Antonio's growth while maintaining its character. Once home to the beloved Gazebo Restaurant (closed in 2018 after 48 years), the property now hosts special events, wellness businesses, and even maintains Airbnb accommodations for those seeking extended retreat. In 2021, it committed to becoming an alcohol-free integrated campus focused on health and recovery.
As one departs Pure Prana Path, the transition back to urban reality feels jarring. The highway noise gradually returns, cell phones reconnect to networks, and the day's demands resurface. Yet something subtle has shifted—a reminder that sanctuaries exist even within cities, that peace can be found mere footsteps from chaos.
For the traveler weary of San Antonio's more trafficked attractions, Pure Prana Path offers an alternative experience—one where the city's natural heritage remains preserved against all odds, where mindfulness isn't merely practiced but embedded in the landscape itself. In an era where wellness tourism often means expensive retreats in distant locales, this unassuming studio proves that sometimes, the most profound journeys require traveling just slightly off the beaten path.

I love this studio! There is nothing I love more than supporting local small business, and I can not endorse Pure Prana Path enough! The studio is nestled deep into a lush green space creating this illusion of a personal oasis. I love getting lost in the foliage, inside and out, during guided meditations. The studio atmosphere is always warm and comfy. They say your vibe attracts your tribe, and oh how true! The instructors I have met so far; Karen, Georgie, Colleen, Natalie, and Leianna, are bright, knowledgable, and overwhelmingly kind/nice/wonderful. Every instructor curates diverse, welcoming safe spaces. I love the yogi crowd, or other practitioners, that also frequent PPP. Together we create an electric atmosphere of positivity and support. I often find myself comfortably settling deeper into practice and satisfying a spiritual nourishment than I have not achieved at other studios. The owners, Chris + Daniel, are delights to meet, converse with, learn from! They also enjoy classes at their studio; a major endorsement in my eyes. Biggest thank you, Chris + Daniel, for creating this wonderful yoga oasis! I look forward to practicing more this coming year and sharing a mat (or two) with my current and new Pure Prana Path familia.

Gina doing Reiki on me was awesome ❣️
She was right on and focused, made me feel so much more confidence. I am working on the right things and not working on others that I should be. It rang true. I have had an infinity to be in your studio for a long time. I will be back for more, and interested in taking my newly re-discovered Reiki to a higher level personally.
I do hope you start meditation times for old timers and maybe instruction for beginners to enrich their lives besides yoga. Maybe even blending such classes.
I would recommend others to try it out. Thank you 🙏 and Namaste... 💙🩵💜 beautiful energy❣️

I didn’t know what to expect from my first Reiki session, but I came out feeling reassured and confident in my path. Daniel was patient and did a great job explaining everything, which made me feel comfortable throughout the session. The experience was profound, leaving me incredibly relaxed and balanced. I felt a deep sense of healing and tranquility that has lasted long after I left. I wholeheartedly recommend 100% to anyone seeking a wonderful Reiki experience.

I've dabbled in yoga at a couple places in the past, but I never stick with it; this is the first yoga studio that I have enjoyed enough to keep coming consistently. Their Yin class is amazing, and I always feel so much better at the end. The atmosphere is so relaxing and positive; they truly embody the phrase, "yoga is for everyone."

This is the studio that opened me up to the best version of myself.
I am a high school senior, exiting the world of childhood, entering adulthood and I'm terrified. I spent my spring break in San Antonio with my brothers, and they invited me to come to classes with them, which I gladly accepted. I'd never taken a class before, but when I did Chris' prana flow, I felt a wall I wasn't even aware I'd built tumble down. From his attentiveness in our comfort and skill level, to his gentle voice and guidance, I have never felt so safe while being vulnerable.
I'd been going through a very difficult period in my life, and just one class with Chris changed my perspective and the way I now try to live my life. I cannot wait until I move to San Antonio, and one of the first things I'll do is sign up for a membership.
I can never recommend this place enough.

The owners Chris and Daniel are so sweet and welcoming. I dropped in on Daniel’s Buti yoga class as my first free class. Though I have never done it before, Daniel was super encouraging and I felt very relaxed. But don’t worry he will work those glutes, and get you to build up the energy throughout the body.
Chris’s prana class was amazing as well, he even asked what areas of the body we wanted to focus on. After I was done with his class, I felt more open in the body and it’s like I actually woke up for the day. Just the energy I needed to finish out my errands for the day.
Also did a class with Nikki’s and Maka. Their whole staff is amazing, and I love that each has their own style to their teachings. Highly recommend this studio of you want a variety of classes, loving family energy, and if you want to be challenged with growth in your yoga practice! Not to mention the space has giant windows and beautiful greenery to look at while you flow❤️

I came here on an early Sunday morning with a friend from out of town. While we were waiting to be seated at Comfort Cafe (in Los Patios), we decided to explore the area and came across Pure Prana Path which is right next to the restaurant.
We picked up essential oils & I, a shirt and Dakota, a yoga instructor informed us that our first yoga session was free if we wanted to try it out! That same day, when I came home, I decided to schedule a reiki appointment with Daniel. Something about walking into the studio and feeling so relaxed and welcomed made me want to come back!
My session with Daniel occurred a week later and I really connected with his style of reiki. Though it was a light session, there weren't crystals involved (something I'm used to), but I felt super comfortable with his light touches on nearly all of my chakras, the music, and the singing bowls. Soon after the session, I received a guidance reading and it resonated well with me. I appreciate that I was given an after-care sheet - what to do post-reiki session, and was even encouraged to reach out if I had questions or concerns because he cares about each client's healing journey! I walked out feeling rejuvenated & had more clarity!
Can't wait for my next session when my body calls for it & maybe stop in and try yoga for the first time soon!
Thank you for a great experience! :)
