Yoga studioAbout the Club
Our North Austin studio started in 2001 when Teresa B. opened Yoga Groove. In 2013 it was merged into the PURE Yoga Texas family with Mardy and Jeff Chen, who continue keeping Original Hot Yoga in its purest form at 105+ degrees. Here is where youβll find some of the most seasoned hot yoga students and teachers mixing it up with Inferno Hot Pilates and Inferno Strength to help round out their overall fitness. A sleek, simple, and immaculately clean facility for you to get your sweat on!

I cannot speak highly enough about Pure Yoga Texas and staff !!!! This place is TRULY the cleanest , best, and most professionally run yoga studio out there ! It is a must see and experience for everyone to try ! I am so honored to be back in the hot room after a tough time with menopause! There heating system is EXCEPTIONAL, for the heated classes! My Wife got me into the Inferno Hot Pilates Class after many years of suggesting I try it. I now look forward to it and go as often as I can. Instructors are welcoming and know what they are doing. Always a good workout!!!!

Gave this studio a try over the weekend and the room is definitely not as hot as regular hot yoga studios. Maybe the heaters happened to be broken on that day, but they could have at least warned us or offered a refund for the lukewarm experience. If I wanted to do yoga in a normal temperature room I would've followed a video at home.

It is very possible I have discovered the Elixir to life. The Inferno Hot Pilates Class offered multiple times at this studio and sister atudio downtown, is quite frankly the most wholesome, but-kicking, rip you to shreds summer body goals, clear your mind get you a new mind in 60 minutes class I've ever had the pleasure of taking. The instructors are lovely, the energy in the classes is crazy, I'm mean you've just got to try it. Walk out of each class a brand new you! Check it!

I've been coming to Pure Yoga for nearly 20 years. The studios are always clean, welcoming, and well-maintained. However, what really sets this place apart are the instructors. They are not only incredibly skilled but also genuinely friendly and attentive, taking the time to learn names, and making everyone feel valued and included. Pure Yoga is a true Austin treasure.

I recently traveled from Flagstaff to visit Pure Yoga North Austin. Upon my arrival, I was warmly greeted at the desk by Lindsay, my instructor for the session. She was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The facility itself was impeccably clean and well-organized, creating an ideal environment for my practice. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here, appreciating the overall vibe of the studio.

Love the classes, the teachers, that the studio has showers and the way I feel after a class, itβs a natural way to boost dopamine and feel good. I also love that they have classes from 60-90 min.

The studio has terrible fluorescent lighting that is on for the entirety of class which was very disappointing. Found the quality of class to be about a 5/10. It was just okay. I was texted to rate my experience and when I rated and gave feedback I was never personally reached out to, just a generic statement. Not ideal.

Bikram yoga is a type of fitness that you either love or hate. I choose to rate it a 10 because no matter when I have gone to yoga it has restored me. It has helped my mental health. It will transform your body if you just be consistent and leave it all in the mat.

I give the Pure Yoga studio & all of its team members the highest possible rating. I have been practicing here consistently (& inconsistently!) for 10+ years. This is a place of true healing. And while the 90 minutes can be difficult, the other 22.5 hrs of one's day are far more easeful in body, mind & spirit. I don't fully understand why the 26 postures done 2x in a very hot & sweaty room works, but it does. Grateful that we have this treasure of a place in Austin.

Hot yoga is not for me π₯π₯΅π₯ but April was super kind and accommodating and the facilities are very nice and all the regular goers who knew it was my first time were super supportive. I won't be back but it's me, not Pure Yoga, which was excellent.

Ash was so accommodating to me, as this was my first time in a hot yoga class. I noticed she was supportive with the whole class, calling students out by name if they were doing good, or needing a little encouragement or help. She truly made it feel like a family in that hot yoga class. I loved it and will definitely be going back.

I was introduced the Pure Yoga Texas about 3 months ago. I signed up for the 2 week trial offer.. The first class was a Hot Yoga class. I believe the temperature was at 105 degrees. I enjoyed it. Beth, the instructor was fabulous. She suggested I meet her the next day to try out the Hot Pilates class.
I enjoyed it a lot because of the toning and high intensity exercise, along with the room was about 10-15 degrees lower in heat. John was awesome too.
I went to my second Hot Pilates class and met Lauren. I love her classes. She pushes us hard.
I liked her high energy so much that it motivated me to become a full time member.
The Yoga is wonderful, which I will continue to do, but itβs the Pilates I really want more of in the week.
As of the last week, the classes have had the same temperature as the Hot Yoga classes. 205-110.
This is unappealing to me due to the high intensity training.

They also helped heal an issue with a nerve in my buttock.

The people that work there are very nice, but I don't believe this style of yoga is safe. I got heat exhaustion after a round of hot yoga at this location and felt sick and lethargic the rest of the day. I won't be going back and I'd advise others not to go as well.

Iβve been doing Hot Yoga with my wife for 3 1/2 years and have been to most of the studios in town and Cedar Park. Furthermore, Iβve been to studios in Alexandria, VA and Memphis, TN. Our Austin classrooms are impeccable and the instructors are top notch. After being away from town for a while and returning to my old studio in the North location I can still say that Iβm proud to be taught by these folks. No one could make it through one of their 90 min routines without their meticulous instructions and guidance. Nobody is forced or reprimanded for doing something they cannot physically do because of an injury. I can say that because Iβve had a right knee injury requiring surgery. Consequently, I have had to skip the βToe Standβ and never been called on that. Just saying this because of a negative review made on one of the instructors, Cecily. Nothing further from the truth. In fact, Iβm returning to do Hot Yoga to heal my body and can confidently say that this type of practice has measurable benefits.

I have several reasons to never go back here and I strongly advise people to consider this before going.
This is a HOT yoga studio with carpet.. Smells just like stale sweat, it's quite nauseating.
This studio only offers one kind of class and leaves little room for modifications. The yoga Instructor CICELY is a literal reincarnation of Hitler. She did not bother to ask about previous injuries before my friend's first class and snapped at him for modifying a pose for his knee injury. Incredibly rude and unprofessional.
Pure yoga also needs to set a dress code or some kind of standard for attire. I did a class next to man wearing literally nothing but his boxer briefs.
Of the yoga studios I've been to this one isn't even a worth the one star I gave it. This establishment is vile and smelly with poorly trained staff.

If you want a military-like yoga class, where you are told that poses should hurt, to lock your knees (which if you're double jointed or have any knee injuries should never be done), push and push until you feel pain, not breathe as your body wishes, disconnect from your self to listen to a teacher who orders you do what they say, possibly injure your joints and back...then this is the studio for you !

I've tried other hot yoga studios, and this one works best for me; I need that heat! The poses are tough in the 26+2 classes, but healing -- safe on the wrists, healing for joint and spine issues, etc. When I'm stressed, I head in for a physical, mental and spiritual cleanse. I also like that they have added more variety to their class offering.

Wonderful class with Monica yesterday, I felt very welcomed by everyone in the class and supported in being there.
I also think it is really cool that this studio brings Yoga into treatment centers and fees for the class I was in went to donation for this good cause. I will definitely be going back!

I had a wonderful first class yesterday! I haven't done bikram in about 5 years, and I came alone, so was a little anxious. It was an extremely welcoming environment, and the room was full of people all ages and sizes. The instructor, Nora, was very funny, humble, and lighthearted despite the difficult class.
I can't wait to come back!
They have an unlimited two week deal for new members, $30!!

Been taking Bikram Yoga for almost a year. Love it. Relocated and found Pure yoga. Instructors are good. Facility need updating. The studio has carpet which is cleaned with hospital grade disinfectant. I understand the carpet needs to be cleaned but the smell of the carpet is awful. Plus you are breathing in all the toxic chemicals, which is not good for your health. Need to change the flooring or put in lots of air purifiers. My old studio, the flooring was not an issue. Never even thought about until I walked into Pure. Unfortunately, I will not return due to the floor.

No miracles, hard work, discipline and a strong desire to live a better-healthy life. Being a Pure Bikram yoga student, have helped me to achive great changes on my modus vivendi. Nice, clean hot studio, even though I have a favorite instructor - in my opinion the best -, I should say all of them are among the competitive masters of yoga, always ready to answer any question and teaching how to challenging or performing a better pose. So far, all my expectations are full; as I said earlier, work hard, don't get discouraged and you'll see the difference on the mind, body and soul, ...thanks Mardy and Jeff, thanks to all the teachers, thanks Pure Bikram yoga.
