Great foundation for someone curious about Martial arts or defending themselves.
I started with boxing in high school & moved on to other ones.
They treated me good when i was there, Sammy was a good teacher.
its been a few years so dont know how it is now.
Im always grateful.
God Bless

For people that donβt know boxing, first of all this is a real boxing gym of boxer that do go to fight. In a gym that you go and you pay for a trainer there not teaching you boxing. This is how it works if you are not dedicated and go every day the coaches automatically start looking at you and will want to train you. But nobody is gonna trained a person that goes 2 or 3 days a week or every 2 weeks or go back in a month. Sorry but I a real fight you will get knock out , coaches look for the next boxing future. Boxing is a double side knife , if you really want to learn you have to learn from the best and go to places that they do fight and watch boxing is a years thing. And if you donβt want to get hit practice or boxing is not for you.

Santos is a friendly person and loves the sport of boxing. BUT heβs not a trainer he will throw u out there with guys 5 years experience WITH NO training. He put me to fight my first amateur against someone with 10+ fights. When in the corner the best advice he gave me was β go have fun out there β I do not recommend this gym to beginners.

Santo Randazzo has been doing this for years and has produced some great boxers out of here. I love the hometown grassroots feel behind this gym. I feel like I'm getting solid training here. And everyone is always going out of the way to help out. I also noticed a lot of kids train here too.

Great, great gym. Itβs not a daycare, or summer camp- any negative review posted probably didnβt have the right expectations coming in. You get what you put in

Called to get info about signing my son up, the owner was rude. Would have signed up for my self but nevermind. Could have had a potential long time customer.

I went to that gym from October through December. The people are cool but they don't really care about training. They only train who they want. Most boxer's we're basically showing themselves and showing other's. I would ask him when is he going to train me and all he would do is give me excuses. Basically all people do their is hit the bag, and do workouts. You can do all those workouts at home. For $75 a month it's not worth it.

this is very good gym and the owner takes the training seriously. He works with your budget if need be, it is inexpensive, and children are also welcome. The number shown is not the gym number, nor did he put it on here, but he doesnβt know how to change it lol...if you come in he will explain in detail what he offers. Iβve been going for a few months now so this is not a first time visit response. Im not sure who theyβre talking about in the year old reviews, but show up and talk to him yourself before going off of these reviews....theyβre pretty old

Tried calling for days but the number on Google maps is disconnected and when I finally found the actual number it either rings with no answer or I get a hang up after 3 rings. Can't even leave a voicemail. Awesome. Won't waste my time anymore.

Great place to train and learn the basics of boxing. Lots of Friendly people at the gym. They work with any budget you may have. Mr. Randazzo is great person to talk too. He's always walking around the gym talking to everyone giving pointers and letting you know how your doing.

The gym is awesome. I was visiting from out of town and everybody was welcoming and friendly. The owner Santos (or Sammy) was friendly and gave me a free t shirt. Not only that he gave me his time and held the mitts for me. Santos also gave me some boxing tips and pointers that were very helpful. I would recommend this boxing gym to anybody that likes boxing. Safe and clean environment as well.

I'm in my mid-30s and I went to Randazzo's boxing gym to help get in shape and learn some boxing skills. Santos Randazzo was always friendly and never once treated me disrespectfully. The negative reviews I seen on here are completely uncharacteristic of my experience there. There are a lot of fighters that workout there, mostly teens, so its hard for the coaches to spend time a lot of time with a single particular fighter. I definately enjoyed my time training there and highly recommend this gym as a place to train. The negative reviews here seem to be retaliation against Santos over some personal issue as there completely unrepresentative of Santos and his boxing gym.

I used to box for Randazzo back in 2012 and the gym is definitely better than most in San Antonio. Part of what the top guy is saying is true but to an extent. Santo is basically the business minded one. When I boxed he came through for us in regards to the quality of fighters we competed against. Also the venues. He does care about his fighters several time he has helped us younger guys financially, transportation wise and general life lessons. Idk bout the drinking tho, I never smelt his breath nor noticed any mood swings. And I was there everyday even Saturday.
His brother Frankie is more of the trainer or nurturing type. He definitely knows boxing. He pays particular attention to his fighters. Not only the ones whom are black. he notices talent like any other trainer.
I would recommend this gym, when people ask where I fight out of I say Randazzo and ive fought out of Hawaii , San Diego, and Houston. I'm from the Tone Randazzo boxing gym will always be home to me.

I cannot recommend this gym. Its unprofessionally run. The owner really knows nothing about the sweet science of boxing. He is incapable of training even amateurs to a decent level. He simply relies on kids natural talent to win matches and is not qualified in any means to be a boxing coach. Its time for people to hear the truth about this gym. Over the past 6 months Ive witnessed him showing up drunk and smelling like vodka a few times a week, yelling at kids and kicking young adults out. Ive trained at many famous gym over the years Kronks gym in Detroit, Cus' in Catskill NY and Gleason's Gym in Brooklyn. This guy does Not have a clue what he is doing. The exploitation of young black fighters is appalling. The most tragic part is how careless he is with all his young fighters. There is a lot of young talented kids in San Antonio trying to fight their way out of poverty and make a better life for themselves.. That is what boxing is all about. Santo Exploits these poor kids for monthly dues and just uses them as cannon fodder putting them in his fight shows just to make money. Ask any of his young fighters if they have ever been instructed properly by Santo the answer will be promptly, NO. He has no technical knowledge or a way to communicate it . He doesn't know boxing and probably shouldn't even own a gym. Let alone the drinking and mood swings he not qualified to coach this sport. He doesn't have the knowledge the boxing I.Q. or the Pedigree. Upon further inspection he never had a proper career himself. He claims he came from NY and boxed, but upon further inspection he never trained and nobodies ever heard of him in New York state. I know I was born there. This is not a Good person or trainer and his explicit exploitation of young fighters is sickening. Listening this guy try to coach fighters is laughable AND TRAGIC AT THE SAME TIME. HES GOING TO GET SOMEONE HURT SOMEDAY. The truth is he doesn't care.

Hello my name is Braylan Brooks I am a boxer and have been training out of Randazzos boxing gym for over a year before coming to Texas I also Trained In Seattle and Los Angeles. The facility is pretty nice compared to other gyms in the area, unfortunately Santo Randazzo (the Owner) does a lot of drinking which effects his mood so it fluctuates on a day to day basis, he does not teach a style, doesnt guide and help mold the minds of these fighters and if you know boxing you know it's 100% psychological . Instead he just puts them in the ring and let's them go at it with little to no proper training which is very dangerous if your child or even an adult chooses to start competing. Also Santo is the only trainer in the Gym and when other people come around and try to help he kicks them all out and the reason I know this is because he kicked both of my trainers out of the gym for absolutely no logical reason other than jealousy and when asked why they had to leave he said I don't have to explain I own this gym, he did try to get me to stay but how far can I go without being trained? When you go into the gym u should ask him what professional fighters he has and what are his plans with them. Boxing is one of the worlds most deadly sports and can not be played around with like football or basketball. When you get into that ring anything can happen and if you are not trained to defend and strike you could end up seriously injured. I wish the circumstances at the gym could be different but ultimately the gym is run by a man (Santo Randazzo) who prides himself on alcoholism and does not care to properly train these fighters both kids and adults. I hope you all read this and hopefully find an alternative for you or your child's own safety

I am a amature boxer under Santo Randazzo and have been boxing at Randazzos boxing gym for over 2 years. The gym has a feel of an extended family and Santo does a lot for the community and the people that train at his gym. Good for if you want to work out or if you want the full experience of sparring and competition. I will forever be grateful to Santo and Frankie Randazzo and the impact they have had on my life.

The staff is the best you will ever find any where, Sammy "Santo" is the REAL DEAL hard core NYC born & raised dedicated to the sport and has lived it for most of his life. His dedication becomes quickly obvious as well as his desire to bring any one he works with to the next level. If you are serious about getting into a "GOOD" gym then stop wasting time and look no farther. This is the place for anyone with a passion to suceed. Excellence is what they strive for. Take it from me I have had the pleasure of Sammy's intro sight and experience - you really could not put a price tag on this entire experience. Give them a try and I promise you will never regret it.
