WAS NOT EVEN GIVEN A CHANCE TO COMPLY WITH THEIR POLICY/RULES! I also had an encounter with the rude mother. She told me " you can't use our restroom and shower facilities bc they are for our members, the people who workout here.". She caught herself and said, " I know you have a membership but you have to workout to use our shower and restroom." She couldn't explain why just said it was their policy and they had had this problem before while glancing out the window at my conversion van that I obviously live in. I told her I would use the treadmill next time I came in. To which she responded, " you have to workout," impling that walking on the treadmill wouldn't be enough to constitute use of the shower. i fully expect to be banned from this gym in future.
UPDATE - MY MEMBERSHIP WAS CANCELLED FOR NO REASON! Returned for the first time today and was told by an employee that I'm no long allowed there and couldn't give me a reason. I wasn't even given a chance to comply!

Small, No frills gym, has everything you need for a good pump. If you are a Lifetime Fitness boujee type, probably not for you.

This is a good, family owned gym with good equipment. It has machines, dumbbells, and barbells. The gym has lots of cardiovascular fitness machines and offers Zumba classes. The staff are very friendly. The music is good and not too loud. I like the 24 hr access. The other clients I see there are considerate and regulars. I visited another gym in port Isabel and was immediately turned off by the extremely loud music and 15 yr old kids walking around without shirts.
I’m 70 yrs old and have been working out off and on for 40 yrs and this gym has just about every thing I need.

This is a fairly new gym in Port Isabel. It is the closest gym to South Padre that accepts Silver Sneakers. The equipment is sparce but new. There is a Rumba room. Great juices and smoothies. Try it out.
They have recently added a dual leg machine that is perfect. Great people and great value. All they need now is a sauna. It is now 24 hours for all members except Silver Sneakers. Just staffed hours for us old folk. Give them a try

Definitely do not recommend owners mother is extremely rude and unwelcoming. I was willing to pay the membership fees for the convenience of 24 hours because I work two jobs and I’m in school plus it’s a few blocks away from my job but finding out they discriminate against service animals and the unwelcoming vibe I will be taking my business to planet fitness and drive the 30 minutes out of my way just to get a work out. Absolutely ridiculous the treatment for someone whose willing to pay 50$ a month to work out there. Very disappointing. Do better.

I came in yesterday and couldn’t come in the day I called because I work two jobs and I attend school so I came back yesterday and your mother was very rude. I can imagine it’s hard to believe but he attends school and both of my jobs with me. Regardless of what your mother believes he is a service animal. And she shouldn’t have treated someone that way because of what she believes that’s discrimination.

Good gym. There is everything you need for training. Good range of free weights. Smith machine.
Pull-up bars are not the most comfortable - but they are there, and that's good. There is a bar of delicious freshly squeezed juices and polite staff. Great gym for vacations, and a great membership price.

I recently joined this gyn because I moved back down to the Valley (and my hometown of PI) and have been trying to work off the covid weight gain. The owners are very welcoming and greet everyone who walks in. Membership is reasonable and their hours are great. It's a nice environment where everyone is there and focused on their workout.

Before I moved to Texas I was an outdoor runner because I didn't like the atmosphere of most gyms. It's too hot here to do that in the summer though, so I knew I had to get a gym subscription.

I was really nervous to start going to the gym here. But this gym is way different. Everyone there is super nice, including the people working out. It's small, but there is always enough equipment available to get a good cardio and weight workouts in. I often will pop in and workout while I'm doing my laundry next door.

One request -- please get wifi for your customers so I can stream my own music and shows while I'm there! :)
