I walked into Rick Fowler's 22 years ago and walked out ready to go! Today, I have a 5th Degree Black Belt.

He's an amazing instructor and he can take you as far as you want to go. Can't recommend him highly enough.

Update-6th degree black belt and we have 280 students at my studio in Carrollton. Every week though I go down to Rick Fowler's Kempo Karate for a class with Rick. Today we worked on Kali drills for hubud and jab cats trails that will help make our Kenpo better.

I am 30 years in and every time we go down there something new. This is a great activity that can last your entire life.

I took my son for a intro class. He is 4-1/2 years old. Rick Fowler was a very good instructor and my son enjoyed the class greatly. The other children in the class were very disciplined and we're taking their class very seriously. I decided my son wasn't quite ready yet for the class. However we will go back to Rick's class when the time comes. He is a very professional teacher.

Me and Daughter have been attending classes for a couple of months. We are lucky to have an instructor of Rick Fowler's caliber in the Irving area. He's the real deal who learned from the masters of a bygone era. Good learning environment for adults and for kids. Highly recommend

I have been going there for almost 11 years now and i really love the aspect that i am still learning things every time i go there and i am also able to teach the younger or less experienced students. My entire family does karate there. Me my mom, dad, and brother.

Sifu Fowler is possesses a wealth of knowledge about kenpo as well as kali and systema. Most importantly, he can convey that knowledge in a way that is tailored to the individual. For anyone in the DFW area who is interested in kenpo, I highly recommend coming to see (or join in) one of the classes.

Our whole family has been studying karate with Sifu Fowler for over 10 years. My kids started when they were 5 and now help teach the kids and study with the adults. My husband and I are 3rd degree black belts, and continue to grow along with Sifu Fowler. He is always adding to the art, improving motion, tying in the core, working on proper breathing and how to add power/effectiveness in any technique. He combines discipline with fun for the kids, is an expert on core Kenpo concepts, and enhances the Kenpo with attributes from the many other martial arts he has studied. He can analyze movement with a trained eye, and can always point out areas for further growth and improvement. We plan our weekly schedules around when we can get to karate class, at least 2-3 times per week most weeks. With noon, evening, and weekend classes, this has been a priority for our family for years now to do karate together.

My two sons have been learning at the Rick Fowler Kenpo Karate facility for six months now. I appreciate the attention to detail that Mr. Fowler and the staff employ with the students. The experience at the facility has peaked their interest to achieve more skills and obtain higher skill levels in Karate....which is the same desire most want their children to possess and apply to all aspects of their lives. Mr. Fowler has a wonderful blend of professional martial art wisdom and the ability to be fun/personable to relate to the youth. I would strongly encourage parents to enroll their children at the Rick Fowler Kenpo Karate facility.

I started going to Rick Fowler's Kenpo Karate six years ago. He is a very knowledgeable, patient, detailed and fun. I appreciate that he is also a life long student himself continuing to search and find better ways to improve and hone Kenpo Martial arts. This allows him to stay fresh and excited about what he teaches us each day. I am currently a red/black belt at his school looking to test for 1st degree black in the near future. Rick is a very experienced Martial Arts Instructor with a gift for sharing his knowledge and experience. His is very good with all age groups and all experience levels. I have a son who needed to learn discipline and have more of an 'awareness' of the environment around him. Kenpo Karate has been an excellent sport that my son really enjoys. The key however, is the skill of the instructor, and how he interacts with the kids. Rick Fowler does an amazing job of getting kids to pay attention, and to respect authority, while teaching the art of karate. I highly recommend anyone to try Rick's place first before others.

I have been a student of Rick Fowler's Kenpo Karate School for over 2 1/2 years. I am currently working my way up to earn my black belt. The students at this karate school are very knowledgeable, respectful, and always ready to help.
Rick Fowler goes out of his way to make sure that I am progressing, and at my own pace.
