This place has been charging my credit card WITHOUT my authorization for months!

I allowed one package of classes for my 14 year old daughter about six months ago. Somehow they used that as a way to charge me $295 EVERY month plus extra fees for other stuff.

When I called to cancel they said I needed to request it via email. When I emailed to clearly ask that they stop charging me and erase my credit cards, they told me “NO”, did not cancel them, said I must speak to my daughter about this. MAKES NO SENSE.

I even changed my credit card number with my bank and they keep charging me. Somehow they got linked to my account, not just my card number.

PLS HELP?! Is there an owner around or someone? You can keep all of my previous unauthorized payments, at $3,500+ per year half of it would be $1,700+. KEEP IT. JUST STOP CHARGING ME GOING FORWARD.
PS
You’d be wise to not share your credit card with this establishment.

Thank you

Ajia is a powerhouse!! High energy, motivating, intentional and inspiring. Her class made me feel like I was meant to be there and I felt welcomed and encouraged. Not to mention her awesome music to keep our mind, body and movement connected. I’ll be taking her class more often and telling people about her. Thank you!

R1 is amazing! Definitely one of the top studios in the whole DFW area. If you’re looking for a challenging yoga or sculpt classes this is it! Heat is on in all classes, instructors always have a great energy, soundtrack keeps us going until the end, bathroom is kept clean and has showers! The yoga room is on the small side but I am personally more motivated to work harder if the room is packed with fellow yogis working just as hard!

Gabrielle is such a great teacher. Her classes are challenging, creative and fun with exercises that are actually Pilates-based. I really appreciate her specific cues and encouraging tone. 10 out of 10, for sure!

You know that feeling of running bleachers in high school and almost throwing up in the trash can??? After 300 classes this is my favorite workout I’ve ever done. There are more than different classes that I love here. I trust the instructors explicitly. Thank you Ritual One. If you want to try any class here COME WITH ME!

When evaluating a new studio, is it the things you first notice—or the details you realize are missing later—that truly matter? 🤔 That was my dilemma after my visit to Ritual One.

I’ll start with the front door confusion: I wasn’t sure where the entrance was, but fortunately I spotted a few people carrying yoga mats 🧘‍♀️and followed them in (I even snapped a photo with the door highlighted to help others avoid the same mix-up). Once inside, there was a short line to check in at the front desk. To my left, there were benches where people were getting changed, and cubbies lining the wall storing things that wouldn’t be brought into class. On the right sat a table with Spiritual Gangster apparel—though oddly, everything on display was for women; there was no men’s clothing in sight.

The layout struck me as more like a stylish garage sale than a luxe studio—aired with branded merchandise but missing that polished, first-class feel. But the staff? Warm and friendly. They even offered me a water to bring into class—though their surprised look when I said I hadn’t brought one may have been equally sincere and slightly amused 😅

I attended what I think was called the “big studio” for an Infrared HIIT session. The lights were low and the room was blazing hot—the padded flooring was a great touch for the upcoming high-intensity workout. The instructor guided us on which weights and bands to use, and participants had pre-assigned spots picked during booking—perfect for hiding out in the back if that’s your vibe. One wall was lined with mirrors—ideal for checking out all the… hairstyles. Duh

The class itself was intense: 96 degrees of infrared heat, explosive jump squats, shoulder presses—the works. There wasn’t much of a warm-up, and the cooldown was more of an afterthought; the instructor seemed to wrap up about a minute in. Still, wow—what a workout!

In summary, Ritual One offers an amazing sweat session in a trendy, high-energy studio that feels friendly from a distance—like someone waving at you from their front porch rather than picking up the phone and inviting you in. If you're after an intense, stylish workout and don’t mind a few quirks, I’d highly recommend it.

I just started going to Ritual One and I love it. It is the hardest workout I’ve taken in Dallas and it never disappoints! It’s not for the faint of heart and maybe a little intense for yoga sculpt beginners. But it is certainly the best. If you want a no frills, people from all walks of life, welcoming place to do yoga/yoga sculpt, this place is for you. Plus, they don’t allow phones (something that drives me insane about other studios) so influencer culture is at a minimum and no need to worry about being featured on someone’s tik tok or kicking over a tripod. I love this place and will continue to keep coming back!

Emma led one of the best classes I’ve ever experienced in 5.5 years of practicing yoga. She led with her heart by sharing some deep thoughts to consider at the beginning and end of the practice. I told her after class that she legitimately ministered to my soul. Her music was varied throughout the class with highly curated beats and rhythms to further motivate the practice. I love Emma and will be back!

Just attended my second class ever and loved it yet again. It is by far the most challenging yoga class I’ve ever taken. The infrared heat is awesome and very detoxing. Even if you don’t typically sweat much, you will. The high the class gives you is addictive. I nearly threw up my first class because I didn’t know that I was going to go and stopped in on a whim after friends recommended it. I had taken lots of vitamins with little or no food. Go on an empty stomach or with a very small meal a good while before class, and go hydrated! My instructor has been amazing both times. Her instruction is extremely challenging, but she does read her students and open the door when the majority of us are struggling to go on. (Yes, the class is that hard.) She also gave me hands-on corrections and stretching which I like. Her guidance truly felt like a gift. This is not a class for the faint of heart or for fitness novices. Of course you can modify to your level, but the heat and the sequences are extremely challenging in flexibility, endurance, strength, and humility. I bought a pack of classes. Even though I’m rehabbing a hip injury, I feel I did even better after just one class. Love yourself enough to work this hard, and you shall receive blessing.

I am now a Ritual 1 regular. I come once a week currently and do other studio workouts throughout the week elsewhere. Gina is the best yoga teacher I’ve ever had! Her energy is so amazing and uplifting! It drives the entire class forward. Today’s flow was initially so energizing, but I grew extremely tired by the end because it was so challenging. Her classes are always are, but they are also such a treat. I enjoy them immensely. I’m a total Gina devotee! Her music is always the best! I look forward to her class all week. I couldn’t possibly be more fond of her!

UPDATED 3/6/25

Gina is the best yoga teacher I have ever had in my life, and I’ve been practicing for at least 20 years. Her sequencing is excellent, but it is her incredible energy which carries you through even the toughest flows is uplifting and inspiring and a joy to take part in. Her classes are so challenging and yet so addictive. I’m a Gina-for-lifer!

It was my first class with Tara, and she was absolutely awesome. She jumped in at the very last minute for a teacher who didn’t show (hopefully she’s ok!), and Tara did so gracefully and led an amazing flow with great energy and encouragement. I loved it.

Kay has such a great pulse on the fitness industry! She's been innovative and has brought pilates and now strength class to Ritual. (I've been struggling to find a strength class and having a separate gym membership to lift is not ideal.) Excited to see Ritual's strength class grow. Would love more weight options - dont think Ritual has enough equipment right now. Thanks Kay for all that you do! Love the heat!

I seriously love Ritual One! I feel incredible after and I swear I look younger after a class. I’m convinced it’s anti-aging!! The instructors are all great but Katy Judah is the BEST!! I didn’t give them 5 stars because the ladies who work at the checkin maybe the rudest people at any gym I’ve been to and I’ve been to a lot. I dread checking in or god forbid ask a question or ask for a towel. Their attitude does not promote belonging and a judge free zone. I thought it was because I use ClassPass but it’s no different when I buy classes. I do both because I love going.

I recently returned to R1, my favorite studio, after taking some time off, and I couldn’t be more grateful that my first class back was with Sam. I’m still getting back into shape, but her energy and positivity made all the difference. Her class was challenging, but she kept everyone motivated with her enthusiasm and incredible playlist. I’ve never taken a class with her before, but she truly embodies everything I love about R1. It reminded me why I missed it so much. Highly recommend her classes for anyone looking for a great workout and an inspiring instructor!

I had the chance to take a yoga class with a Courtney Bartolomei today, and it was exactly what I needed. She brought such an incredible balance of challenge and calm—guiding us through some really powerful poses while creating a peaceful, centered atmosphere. I walked out feeling refreshed and grounded in a way I can’t quite put into words. This experience was such a reminder of why I love R1; the instructors genuinely bring their best and make each class a unique, transformative experience.

I can’t say enough good things about Kay Vargas at R1! Her classes are the highlight of my fitness journey. She brings an incredible energy that never fades and always keeps the room motivated, no matter how challenging the workout gets. Her positivity, support, and genuine encouragement make every session feel like so much more than just exercise.

One of the things I appreciate most about her is her signature phrase, ‘You can do hard things.’ It’s become a mantra for me, carrying me through not only her intense workouts but also some personal challenges. Kay has a gift for inspiring strength and resilience, and I’m so grateful for the impact she’s had on my life. If you’re looking for someone to push you to be your best and remind you of your own strength, Kay is the coach you need!

Specific to the studio, did I mention I’m so happy to be back at R1! The staff are always so welcoming, and the ambiance is just perfect—it feels like a second home. I really appreciate the new touches, like the wipes handed out at the end of class to clean the weights, and as always, the refreshing cold towels are a great finishing touch. This place knows how to make you feel cared for, from the warm welcome to the little details. So glad to be part of R1 community again!

I’ve been at R1 since it opened and absolutely love it. The space is clean and efficient, not intimidating at all. The instructors are amazing, kind, motivating, and put so much thought in to their classes. There are several different classes to choose from and times throughout the day so it’s the only gym I belong to. The workouts are hard but there are always options for modifications with no judgment. It’s the best!

It was my best friend and I’s first time today. Took Becca’s new Pilates class and loved it. You can tell she’s very knowledgeable about the body and cues very well on how to engage different muscles. Her energy was also very peaceful yet motivating. Music was also stellar which makes a huge difference in these classes. Will definitely be coming more often!

Lynsi Trachta needs to be on the schedule. I took her try out sculpt class and I thought it was great! She really knows the body, her music, and counts! I can't say the same about a few of the other instructors. I've taken others and it's like they want you to fail at the workout. That's not encouraging for anyone. It's not an effective workout when you have to stop a bunch and continuously walk out cause you might die. Lynsi's class had an awesome sequence. She was clear and concise. I knew where to go in the next move. It was a challenge, but in a positive way, and I definitely felt it the next day. I just wish she was on schedule so I can take her class again! You can tell she works hard and puts thought into her delivery!

I recently went to a hot sculpt class here, class intensity was great, heat was intense and room was WAY crowded.

This facility lacks any sort of customer experience. It was my first ever class, I was just told I could use the lockers, no instructions on how to lock/unlock them, no direction on what room I was supposed to go to (there was 2 classes going) and space I needed to be in.

While I let this experience slide, they failed me again. I signed up for a class via ClassPass and they sent me an email saying they cancelled me out of the class because it’s not supposed to be offered on the platform. YET, they didn’t cancel my class out of ClassPass or refund my credits. I was told I had to deal with that part because it’s not their fault. While they do actually have control of what classes the “third party vendor” they use posts for people their way of handling the situation was rude. I was offered up buying a class package and getting on the waitlist for the class as an option. This is the most unaccommodating studio I have ever been to.

If you want hot yoga/pilates. There’s MUCH better, friendlier and inclusive places in Dallas. Spend your time and money somewhere else.

My 15 yo daughter introduced me to this place, or challenged me to try it, and I’m very grateful she/I did. A myriad of great classes taught by professional, thankfully-unforgiving instructors from impressive backgrounds who have challenged me in tough and fast environments (just completed class 21). I’m grateful to this business and its instructors for breathing life back into my sad, middle aged body and apologetic to those who have to suffer through the classes next to me and witness the ridiculous spectacle I am. I just keep telling myself, someday. Nonetheless, I always leave drenched in sweat, grateful, rejuvenated, and in a great mood. I couldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you, Ritual One.

I absolutely love this place. They have a membership for students and it’s great. I have tried multiple workouts and different places that don’t match up to RitualOne and I really don’t like them but R1 is the first place I actually crave to go back to. Rebecca Massoud is my favorite teacher and I like that with any of the classes you can kind of go at your own pace. The employees are super friendly and you can shower there as well.

"Good" workout, but not worth the hype or the money. I was excited to try this "very expensive boutique workout" due to all the buzz from friends and Dallas celebrity wanna-be's on social media. Front desk gals really are no help on your first visit. They point you to your lockers and you get to figure out your room and spot you are on. It was a good workout, but if it were not for the extreme heat, it would be like any sculpt class. The heat makes the class hard. I was surprised at the lack of cleanliness of the rooms, with the expense of the class. My weights were actually dripping "black" onto my mat, I guess from being "sprayed clean" from the previous class. After the class, I asked where the water station was located, and was told they could sell me a bottle, or use the bathroom sink.... I also bought the 3 pkg promo to try the classes, and had one expire. I work out at a lot of boutique facilities in the Dallas area, and I can tell you, if you let one expire, the facility is usually good with giving you the credit back if it is within a certain time frame. Ritual One is not. Save your money. There are alot of other, cleaner, hot yoga/sculpt facilities in the metroplex...

I attended a class for this studios one year anniversary. The Yoga Sculpt here was the most difficult yoga sculpt experience I have ever had . What made this class bearable was the support form the teacher and the other students. If your a pro or a first timer this is the place to be . Parking is easy in the parking garage underneath the shopping center . They do offer showers and lockers were you type in whatever code you want . The prices here are a little higher than a big chain yoga studio, but are definitely worth it considering your getting the best of the best . I will definitely be back to try other classes .

I am a YA 500 RYT instructor and have been practicing yoga for over 13 years. I took my first class here & I loved the infrared heat. I did not love the class. I could not understand the instructor. I have practiced & taken yoga from every lineage you can imagine. I know Sanskrit and the instructor used terms I have never heard along with not being able to hear her. I am fortunate I did not need to know some of them because I know sequencing enough to move. There was a point during class that I could tell over 50 percent of the students were not even participating because it was too hard. The instructor kept going instead of reading her students. I would prefer a class that my instructor took the time to watch our bodies and know when to slow it down instead of a tricky, flowery sequence. As an advanced student I know what to do and for me it felt showy. I love yoga & am very passionate about it. I will give this studio another try because I love the heat. I hope to have a better experience next time.
