Training at River City Strength has been a game changer in improving my lifts. Danny, Erin, Jesse, and Marco do what all the best coaches do - challenge you to find the upper echelon of your limitations safely. Then they are able to make adjustments on the fly to improve your technique or form or accommodate prior injuries. I feel stronger than I ever have and can do much more that I thought I was capable of in the few short months I have been training with them. The community at the gym is amazing - supportive, welcoming, and always sharing a laugh. Highly recommended. These dudes rock ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I recently joined RCS about 3 weeks ago and have thoroughly enjoyed the process.
From the moment I decided to reach out about joining I felt encouraged, supported and held accountable--in all the right ways.
Coach Jesse wasted no time in getting me scheduled for an FMS assessment to better inform them on the best course of action for my training sessions.
The whole RCS team is extremely knowledgeable and skilled in their craft. You can tell that hospitality is at the forefront of all they do. They've created an environment where people from all walks of life are welcomed and they are met where they are in their health and wellness journey.
I especially appreciate the check in I had with Coach Marco, a quick 15 minute phone call to see how I'm feeling about my current training program and get more details about my personal goals. I was pleased that the conversation never focused on a number on the scale or physical appearances. Rather, we spoke about what my personal success indicators are and how best the RCS team can support me so that I meet my goals.
I also greatly value being able to show up for my sessions and not having to fight over a spot to workout, think about what equipment I'll need and feeling unsure if I'm doing each exercise movement correctly. The team is there every step of the way. From setting up my area with a mat and foam roller to bringing me the equipment I'll need throughout the workout and demonstrating each movement. They take extra precautions to address any pains or discomforts and are great at modifying the exercises to ensure they are painless.
If you have ever wanted to find a community that encourages you to move in ways that bring you joy and celebrates your successes this is it.

I have been coming for about 2 1/2 weeks and since coming here it has been a complete blast! My first meeting was very informing and we created a plan to meet my goals of weight loss and overall health. One major thing that keeps me coming back to this facility is the environment since I grew up in a CrossFit community and this place makes me feel as if I belong here and the team here push me to try my best every day. I recommend this place for any age and any athletic level. Not to mention, they make your workout plan for you and even have nutritional coaching. I have noticed a major change in my energy and strength just because I committed myself to these guys!

It's a awesome gym , everyone is nice and trainer I see during my sessions knows me by name, and their encouragement and support make all the difference. Update:
I’d like to take a moment to update my review for River City Strength. It’s been just over two years since I joined the RCS community, and in that time I’ve lost 50 pounds and seen a remarkable improvement in my overall health. I even became lifeguard certified recently—something I never thought I’d do, especially at almost 62!
I credit so much of this progress to RCS. I’m stronger now than I’ve been since high school, and that’s thanks to the incredible support, expertise, and encouragement I’ve found here.
I can’t say enough good things about River City Strength. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend RCS to anyone looking for a welcoming community, knowledgeable trainers with a proven track record, and real, lasting results.

I am loving this gym. The owner, Jesse, and the trainers know what they’re doing. They’re not hesitant to correct your form. The individualized workouts are challenging and geared to functional fitness. I love using various equipment (free weights, bands, medicine balls). The gym feels like a small community. If you’re trying to get in shape or in better shape then this is place for you. The coaches here are accredited, very knowledgeable, and pay attention to detail. Every set every rep. They provide you a detailed plan that fit your needs and will help you accomplish your fitness goals if you put in the work. The facility is always clean and well equipped. Love the trainers here! Each workout is designed for individual needs and pivot when those needs change. They helped me manage a healthy pregnancy all the way to the day before I gave birth. Jesse has made River City Strength a private gym that feels like a community space. I have been to other private gyms that do not have the same warmth and good vibes. I wasn't sure if I would like the small group training model, but it actually works great for me and I prefer it to total one on one. I get to be a little more independent and focused while also getting instruction, guidance and help whenever I need it (which is often). The layout of the gym is really smart and allows everyone space to do their thing. I have mostly worked with Coach Marco because of schedule and he is fantastic at his job, has good jams, and is just a really nice guy. The flexibility of scheduling is another huge plus for me. Lastly, I will say I am paying a little over 50% less than I was paying at the last private gym I went to and I am having a 100% better experience! I am excited to continue my fitness journey at River City Strength.

I reached a point in my fitness where I am no longer seeing results on my own. In order for me to achieve the next round of goals I’ve set for myself, it was time to hire professionals. I am so glad River City Strength was recommended to me. It’s a small group personal training experience. I have a personalized plan that is suited for my goals as a runner. As a woman working out with weights is especially important and can be a bit intimidating. But not here, all the staff are super friendly, professional and so helpful with my form etc. After almost a month of consistent 3x a week I am feeling the results.
When I walk in the gym, I feel like I am walking into the Cheers (TV show) Bar. Everyone knows my name :) Best experience and money spent.

I am 63 years old and just lost a significant amount of weight. My next step is to try to build strength. I am definitely not a gym rat, typically can't make myself go! I found these guys online and went in. They could not be a nicer group of people. The owner is there most times on the trainers are so great. They are motivational and helpful. It is clean and organized. They know your name when you come in. I would definitely recommend!

I’ve been with RCS for four weeks now, and I can honestly say it’s the best decision I’ve ever made! Being an ‘84 year old guy, and I thought doing okay, what do I need another gym for? I was already going to Fitness Connection and riding my bicycle (trike) 30-40 miles a week, I thought I was doing pretty good but after going to River City Strength for only one month, I’m standing up more straight, balance is better and just feeling better all over!

I’ve been to a lot of gyms and after a while, it’s gets boring. I took a year hiatus from gyms because none really met my expectations. After my knee surgery, I joined a nationally known gym, but it didn’t give me the personalized training that I was looking for. My husband heard about River City and I called to find out more about it. I met with Jesse and said I would try it out for a week. I’ve been here since February 2024 and I love it. The workouts are designed specifically for you and at your own strength. And, it’s a different program each time you go and you are always challenged to do more to improve yourself. I’m impressed on the knowledge of each trainer and each one will make sure that you are using good form and technique, which is important to each move you take. This makes for quality sessions and reduces the number of possible injuries. Overall, I look forward to my workouts and the progress that I’ve made in the four months I’ve been here. I would recommend this gym to everyone looking for personalized workouts in a very comfortable and enjoyable environment. They earn five stars from me!

I hate strength training and I hate writing online reviews more. Nonetheless, I am compelled to write about River City Strength. I have been active most of my life, running, cycling, and swimming regularly. I recognize strength training is important and have dabbled stock classes in commercial gyms, CrossFit, online classes, and Pilates. I never was able to stick with any due to injury, fear of further injury, reaching a plateau, and/or sheer boredom. I am not impulsive and debated joining River City Strength months after hearing a glowing recommendation from a trusted friend. I am glad I finally took her advice and am motivated to continue pursuit of my goals under the experienced professional instruction of Jesse, Danny, Marco, and their assistants. The entire staff is warm, welcoming, funny, knowledgeable, and will motivate you to push yourself safely beyond your boundaries. I can’t recommend River City Strength enough if you are interested in investing time in improving your strength and fitness.

This gym focuses on individual workout programs within a small group setting. A main part of my program has been working towards the mobility needed to squat, deadlift, and bench press my body weight. When I set the goal; I did not know I was deficient in the necessary mobility to perform these exercises safely. The program tailored for me has been improving my flexibility and strength simultaneously. Plus in the diet plan you get to eat Oreos.

This place is a gem. Each of the trainers are great people and super knowledgeable. I have been attending for 6-7 months now, and can confirm it’s the longest I have ever consistently attended a gym! Weekly check-ins to make sure I schedule time to workout and flexibility when last minute changes occur definitely helps to keep me accountable (even with a work schedule that can have me leave town for weeks at a time).
I love that all I have to do to have an efficient workout at RCS is just show up! My plan is custom made for me (and updated as I make progress), weights are set out as I am warming up, and I have access to a trainer throughout my whole workout. The trainers help to answer questions, correct my form, or make modifications if needed. I know if I just show up, I will always leave feeling accomplished and like I made good use of my time.
Since starting at RCS, I have seen so much improvement in how I move outside of the gym from my strength, endurance, and flexibility to my overall confidence. 10/10! Highly recommend.

I have been working with River City Strength for about six months, and is one of the best investments I have made in my health and fitness journey. It is the perfect combination of working out with others but with individualized programs geared to meet your goals. My focus is on building strength and maintaining weight loss, and the team has built my workouts to do just that, so that I avoid injury and see progress. The team really takes the time to understand your individual goals, challenges and limitations. They pay close attention to how your workouts are progressing and make adjustments. There is also a lot of flexibility in scheduling, because they understand that life happens. Last but certainly not least, the community they have built is kind, supportive and fun. I am not a fan of gyms because they can be so intimidating, especially for women, but this gym is so unique! It’s a place where you get personalized training in a small group setting. I was hesitant to sign up because it’s difficult to start something new, with new people, and I didn’t know what to expect. I am so glad I stepped outside of my comfort zone!

I am a self-professed cardio enthusiast who struggles to get to a gym to lift weights, until now. This gym offers a unique approach to strength training. It’s a cross between personal training and group exercises, with a personalized program specific to one’s goal. It’s hard to describe it so I highly recommend you just try it. This gym has the most amazing trainers who not only make sure you are correctly doing the exercises but who also make the workout session fun. The gym is also very clean. I have had my share of unused fitness “memberships.” What I also love about this gym is that it’s the anti-membership gym that prioritizes client success. They are also flexible and supportive with clients with demanding work and life schedules but also provide the much-needed accountability. I highly recommend this gym to anyone.

I’ve been struggling with hip pain for about 10 years. I tried dry needling, Airrosti, seeing a chiropractor twice a month, and a summer of PT —with no relief.
RCS created a workout plan that was tailored to my injury, and after a few short weeks of strength training, my hip pain decreased tremendously. Now, after one year of staying consistent with my program, I can happily report I am pain free. I’m so thankful for the time and patience the coaches put into my training !

This place is a rare gem. The staff, the equipment, the personalized workouts, are all amazing. In just 2 months I already feel stronger and can see changes in my body. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable. They will tailor your exercises to make sure your form is comfortable and correct, while also challenging you to push yourself. Everybody is different and every body is different - which is very much recognized at this gym. This organization puts you first and takes the time to make sure that each of your workouts are focused specifically on what you need to get better, to be more healthy, and to be in less pain.
For an example, Jesse was once willing to close the gym to come help me be able to stand up after a debilitating back issue. At the time, only my wife was a member, and I had not yet joined. I joined shortly after, and I do not ever see myself leaving.

I was referred to River City because all other attempts to fix my back problems had failed. Jesse designed a strength training program for my specific needs. I hate exercising but as difficult as this kind of work out is, I actually look forward to working out. I love it because I can see and feel the strength I’m gaining. The atmosphere is small and fun. Jesse and the other trainers/interns are with you the whole time and constantly pump you up and care how you are feeling. I also feel a certain amount of accountability which helps keep me motivated. I know if I didn’t have to be accountable I would never go. This is the perfect place for me.

I got referred to River City from my PT after I asked for a strength training referral. I do 60-120 miles a week of endurance cycling/running and was struggling with injuries every few months. Jesse has been great for me. The workouts are challenging and really add to my running performance. I have zero injuries in months which weren’t related to accidents. I was cross shopping River City with a tonal and am really glad I went with them instead. I do 6 classes every 4 weeks and they are super flexible with my crazy work schedule.

I’ve had memberships at lots of gyms over the years… typical big name gyms that had all of the necessary equipment one needs to achieve their fitness and strength goals. However, what I’ve learned since meeting Jesse (owner) is that it’s not the equipment that is most important….. I’ve had a recurring back injury since my early 20s and Jesse has coached me to incredible strength and fitness gains without injury, more importantly when I’ve had some recurring pain from my old injury he’s modified my training without me losing any strength or regressing. He’s kind, humble, extremely knowledgeable and welcomes everyone without judgment. He’s surrounded himself with a great team! RCS is a top notch gym.
When I first started there. I had a frozen shoulder blade. With Jesse’s knowledge and program,along with aquatic therapy.
My shoulder blade started to move after 3 1/2 weeks.
There are many trainers I will always be grateful for.
Without Jesse program and Danny who worked with me. I probably would of been out of work or had another surgery.
I always looked forward to going to gym. It never felt like a workout.
When I was hard on myself felt like
I was not getting anywhere.
These two awesome trainers lifted my spirits.

I am obsessed with Jesse. He is so smart and devoted to continued education. I have a lot of chronic health problems and Jesse takes the time to learn about them. He understands that I am limited by fatigue, pain, and hypermobility. I do not feel safe exercising on my own due to my connective tissue disorder. Not many trainers take the time to learn about these conditions in detail. I completely trust him.
Daniel and Jesse are both awesome trainers. They are so empathetic when it comes to my chronic pain and Chronic Lyme Disease. They never push me overboard and completely understand my physical limitations. You will love this gym!
