I am new to rowing and this class has been a great introduction.
Chelsea is an excellent teacher. She provides each of the class participants with immediate feedback as to their progress.
I have enjoyed her choice of music as it provides a nice overlay as to what she is hoping to accomplish in the workout.

Ro fitness offers really outstanding classes. I have attended indoor rowing classes in California that can’t compare to the experience at Ro Fitness. I love these classes. The classes are fun and well structure do with very knowledgeable instructors.

Rowing with Ro has become a highlight of my week! Great instructors and workout. I leave class feeling like I worked hard but also like a million bucks. Classes available at two locations, both excellent. Castle Hill gym is a great venue with kind staff and easy parking. The morning rows on the balcony at Town lake are just the best way to start your day. This is the healthiest addiction I've ever had - can't recommend Ro enough : )

Very good workout. Great teachers.
Rowing get most all the muscles and the interval parts get the cardio. Your personal effort is how much benefit you get. Yes, you do have some competition in the room if you want that, too

Overall a great fitness program with two diverse locations, good hours, and excellent instructors that consistently run diverse workouts and maintain high standards of quality instruction and stay on schedule. I highly recommend the free intro class and then get an intro 3 package to decide if the program is for you. Its great physical exercise for men and women of all ages and levels of fitness. I had used rowing machines in the past but the instruction is great to maximizing your workout, improving form efficiency, and motivation.

I’ve been going to Ro (both Tarrytown and Downtown) for a few weeks and love it! I’ve really been enjoying learning a new sport, moving your body differently and wrapping your mind around minutes and meters and strokes and math and numbers. It’s something that I’m still getting the hang of and learning, and just need more practice. It’s a great workout whether you’re doing a Long and Lo class or a Cardio Ro class. Ro offers different classes and two locations and the instructors are really nice! It’s only competitive with yourself so you don’t have to feel self conscious about your ability or compare yourself to the others in the class. Love it!

Ro is the best workout. Joined about 4 months ago and it has improved my athletic performance so much. I look better and feel better. If you’re up for the work, I would put this up against any other workout in the market.

The instructors, classes, and equipment are all great!
This studio offers (rowing only) classes, and combo classes that mix cardio rowing with full body strength training off the rowing machine. Both class types provide great workouts. There are two locations. The Tarrytown location is in a retail center with awesome air conditioning and free parking. The downtown location is at the Waller Creek Boathouse at the end of Trinity Street. Unless that weather is extreme, classes are held outdoors in the boathouse balcony overlooking Lady Bird Lake.
Things I really like about this studio:
The classes are small enough for the instructors to help everyone with proper form during every set as needed. They also give individual motivation to help you get the most effective workout. There is a friendly personal interaction between the instructors and the class and between class members. Every instructor runs class efficiently, but with a fun and relaxed mood.
The workouts are interval based with a good mixture of high intensity (power) intervals, active recovery and short rest periods between the more intense sets. For intervals that are at specific stroke rates, the instructors row at the front of the class. This really helps keep the class in sync and keeps the focus on proper form. During the intervals that are at a open pace (sprinting), the instructors walk the class giving technique corrections and positive motivation to work hard. They also make effective use of music to motivate the class to high levels of effort.
The classes have weekly focus that changes each week and repeat every four weeks. Within the weekly focus the structure of the workout changes each day. Even though you are obviously rowing during every class, the structure has plenty of variety and challenges to keep it interesting.
Bring a towel and a water bottle and you will be ready to row. Filtered water is available to fill your bottle.

Rō Fitness has great instructors. The instructors will help with proper form if you have never used a rowing machine before and will help fine tune your form if you are already comfortable on the machine.
The community is welcoming, and it’s a challenging, competitive workout but accessible because you compete against yourself.
It’s a great way to get your cardio in without the intimidating atmosphere of clubby spin classes.
The Terrytown location has ample parking.

Love this place! All the instructors are very encouraging and push you to give more effort than you knew you had in you. Just had a class with Hailey who always gets me hyped with her great playlists.
As someone who has done group running and crossfit classes, neither can match the level of intensity or inclusiveness that Ro Fitness has. The movement is basic enough that beginners can push themselves hard safely under supervision with low risk of injury without feeling out of place or unathletic. The workouts are structured so that everyone finishes together as one crew.
On the other hand, the rowing stoke has enough nuance for someone with years of classes under his belt like me to still work on. The Concept 2 machine’s display metrics were intimidating at first but have given me a way to precisely measure and track my strength and stamina every workout. Seeing my progression and the changes to my body have been life changing!
Lastly, as someone who has tried but struggled to stick with meditation, I have found rowing to be very similar. Breathing in and out every stroke clears my mind and gives me a sense of calm and focus that lasts long after class is over.

Very engaging, fast-paced workout, where I feel as if I am both getting cardio and strength workout. Instructors are extremely friendly, and always welcoming. I felt comfortable asking questions, and they are very helpful in improving form.
The classes are well organized and structured. They also have various challenges throughout the year that are fun to participate in. It’s a wonderful community and facility.

Chelsea and the RoFitness team are such a great group of trainers who make rowing fun and make the most out of class. I would highly recommend attending a class to get a full body low impact workout and an opportunity to meet some people and make some friends. It's a great community to be a part of!

Rofitness is exceptional. Full stop. The workouts are super fun, the coaches are amazing and the whole experience makes me excited about cardio. The workouts can be tailored to any fitness level, so I would highly recommend you take a class! Plus they’re a local business that helps keep Austin fun and thriving. And if you do take a class, you can look forward to being cheered on by your peers. It’s a super supportive environment.

I love this place! I've been attending classes here for roughly 3 years and it never gets old. All of the customers and instructors are very welcoming and helpful, whether you're a beginner or a collegiate rower. The classes are energizing and fun, while also encouraging to work hard and do your best. It's not long before you feel like a member of the community and find yourself competing in all of the ongoing challenges they set.
Would recommend for anyone who needs group motivation to work out, or anyone up for a challenge. As your form improves, the challenge extends!

I love this studio! I tried it out by taking the INTRo class with Chelsea, the owner, and she was super friendly, helpful and fun! She made the class awesome and it was the best way to learn how to use the erg (rowing machine) the right way. The regular classes are also awesome, fun, and tough but the instructors keep the routines varied so you never get the same thing twice (even in one week)! I'm definitely going to keep going and make it the mainstay of my fitness routine!

First time taking an indoor rowing class-- definitely a judge free place and very fun! Aaron, the instructor was very helpful and created a challenging session. I love to work out on my own but when it comes to group classes it is ALWAYS a great thing to have that instructor who pushes you to try your best and meet or pass your daily goal. Great Experience. Clean area. Clean showers and perfect temps are provided. Thanks for the awesome class!

Avoid the gridlock and RoRoRo and then go home with less traffic. Great cross training shake it UP if you are a runner or cyclist, or swimmer, I try to get in here once a week to mix up my cardio, beat the heat and avoid the traffic on the way home, a wonderful workout is better than road rage.

Finding RO has been a game changer for my workout routine! I have crappy knees for running and not a fan of Spin culture. RO is low impact total body workout in HIIT sets, which has my Fitbit jumping off the charts. The instructors are great helping you get the right form, which amps up the intensity. Workouts are different each time in terms of pace, intervals, distance, but always as challenging as you make it on speed or strength. Everyone is really friendly, and it's welcoming for beginners to take at your own pace, but also plenty of athletes crushing crazy high watts and tracking PRs on meter races. Everyone is pretty focused on beating their own pace/power, though there can be some friendly tiered competition in meter races. New and clean facility and modern equipment. Plus it's fun and social between sets, once you catch your breath.

Definitely a fun new fitness class. Rowing is a great way to help you get in shape ! A great class for any fitness level even beginners! I recommend reading their classes before attending as I chose a class and as a more advanced athlete found the class to not be challenging enough for me so not everyone needs to go to go to the beginners class. Also, you can try your first class for free. Make sure to bring your own water the class is fast pace and you dont have much time to get up and get water.
