Staff is awesome, ac needs maintenance. As well supplies. I've been noticing since last week the wipes were low, just today theres none to clean machines why wait until theres none at least provide napkins and cleaning solution. The amount that I pay per month compared to other gyms, minimum they should have cleaning supplies

This gym has so much potential, but the maintenance is terrible. AC has been broken for over two months without being fixed. The treadmills shake badly any time you use an incline, making them unsafe. Many machines are constantly out of order, and repairs take months. For the price we pay, basic upkeep should be a priority, but it clearly isn’t here

The air conditioning hasn’t been working throughout the entire gym — it gets extremely hot, especially during cycling class where the A/C is always off. Some machines are unplugged or broken and take forever to fix. Most instructors arrive late, and classes start and end late, which is frustrating for those of us who are on time and need to get to work. Only a couple of instructors are consistently punctual. They’re quick to charge the monthly fee, but not so quick to fix issues or hold staff accountable — even the manager, Mr. Arturo, has shown up late.

Ive been in this gym for about 2 + years. Starting with the positive: The staff is friendly and helpful, its the only gym in the south so location is convenient for us that live there. Negative: The machines are always broken and never fixed, 3/5 stair masters are broken and remaining are always being used. For $40+/month, you can find a better gym easy. I have to have planet fitness as well because Rock is not 24/hrs. Gym closes at 11 during the week and 8 on the weekends. The water fountain is also always broken and water is hot. The lockers in the restrooms require tightening of a screw to be able to lock them and they haven't done that in 2+ years, I can literally do it myself. I'd say a good 5/35 lockers work in the female side. The tread mills are not even straight, they have a mat under and sometimes one leg of the machine is on and one off the mat making it uneven and the machine will rock while you run. The tread mills also need replacing of the running floor, it is also uneven. The gym closes at a certain time but 20-25 minutes prior the staff begins turning off the lights where you are working out. This gym needs a lot of improvement, not worth $40+ a month.

My brother recommended this gym to me. Initially the thought was that machines don't get repaired in the gym but I quickly learned they have been keeping up with maintenance. The stair masters are occasionally breaking but they get repaired within a timely manner along with a few other machines. Great atmosphere, plenty of variety of machines and weights to use and all around comfy place to workout at.

Honestly the service was great at first. I went to the rock for the first time with a seven day trial I got online. Of course, I made sure it was available to use by calling and asking. After they confirmed it was available I went in. When I did the staff was friendly and very helpful, the guy gave me a tour and as well as answered my questions. NOW my problem was the next day, I went again and the lady in the front was very rude to me, and wasn’t letting me in till they changed my trial to a three day . After that, I really felt annoyed and honestly felt unsatisfied, than she was giving my friend a hard time to just sign up for the three day trial.

Disappointed with not keeping up with equipment. When something breaks it can take up to 6 months for it to get fixed. Compare to other gyms in Laredo Rock fitness I’s the one that charges 3x more yet they can’t keep up with the equipment. Out of date treadmills and pull up assistance machine hasn’t been fixed to name a few. Other than that gym is always clean and organize.

Awesome place to workout. They have a lot of equipment and their outside area is top notch. They just need heavier kettlebells. Thank god the bunch of kids crowding the restrooms went away. They got in the way when going into the restroom and even turn off the lights to get a better lighting.

Gym was spacious, clean, and has some machines that the North location lacks.

It's a good gym overall, but the North location has a friendlier vibe and the power racks and bars are much nicer (to me). I could not get comfortable without a center knurl and with the shiny zinc coating, but that's just personal preference.

I really like this gym, i just wish they would allow us to use the rec room to warm up or strech. Its a good thing that that the gym is getting new equipment, but the more equipment the gym adds the less space there is to properly warmup. Whenever i find a place to warm up its almost always cramped and very near someone else, and could impede on my warmup or i could impede on their exercise. There is plenty of space in the rec room, but unfortunately we are not allowed to enter.

The only way I can cancel my membership is by a Doctors excuse. I don’t know who the hell they think they are but that’s unprofessional. I need a doctors excuse to cancel and still have to pay the $100 cancellation fee. Unbelievable!!

Not is it always packed, but half of the treadmills are always broken. The ones that are not, suddenly stop at an UNSAFE pace. I personally MSGd the manager and was ignored even thought people have been hurt because of this. Would leave this gym if it wasn't for the 1 1/2 year contract they force you on. Do not recommend. Go to crunch. Not only is it way cheaper, but the equipment works reliably.

Great place to work out. The atmosphere is humid where u can sweat tons. 30min in just standing for register i was already sweating. Another 30min doing cardio machines n definitely sweating a lot. I will not miss a day cause of the contract lol. Going to make it worth it for these 18 months.
