I booked the class through ClassPass. Virga the receptionist was so kind and friendly and helpful. Virga also send me all the nice pictures and videos for the event. It was my first time and she explained everything to me. The trainers were good we did vinyasa, sculpt and sound bowls 30 minutes each and all for a good cause it was for Valerie. I like how close the community is and how you can enjoy the class together. I definitely will be back again.

There are a lot of unique things that this studio does that elevate the experience. It’s heated. The floor is a soft mat floor that challenges your core more. If you take a fall, it’s a gentle collision. So really safe environment to practice. The ambient lighting and the sound is an experience. They’ll lend you mats and towels complimentary. The staff are really warm. It was my first time going and I’m coming back!

It was my first yoga class and as a man I was little nervous prior to going. I took the class with Yesenia the instructor and it was awesome . It was a great workout. I felt the burn through out and really the type of class you feel like you accomplished something at the end. She came over and helped me out a few times to adjust my pose.the vibe is great the people are great and really recommend this yoga spot for anyone.

Today I took my second yoga sculpt class at the studio. It was challenging, but I loved every moment of it! It’s okay to take breaks and I did not judged at all. I felt encouraged and strong by the end of the class. The facility was very nice. I also have a small child and was pleased to see that the studio offered a baby babysitting option, simply so that I could attend the class.

I just left a Samatone Sculpt class. It was led by Rhonda. It was SO GOOD!!! It was challenging, but at a pace that was completely doable. I also felt very encouraged to be able to sit in the struggle, but know that I could take a breather, if need be. The instructor did a great job of not only leading the class, but providing a relaxed atmosphere that felt friendly and comfortable. It was clear that the other people in the class were regulars, but I did not feel like I didn't belong! I will DEFINITELY go back to this class. I burned over 500 calories and feel great!!

Samatone is by far the most welcoming and best studio I have been to in the Dallas area! I started as a beginner and with the help of different instructors I feel growth and improvement in my abilities. I would recommend this for people of all levels of yoga whether you are an expert or a beginner!

I took the Samatone sculpt with Yesenia (this is my second class with her)! It is a PHENOMENAL class!! The studio is super clean, and very welcoming. The music was great. Yesenia was a fantastic instructor. I didn’t feel intimidated by anyone else’s ability. I burned nearly 600 calories and felt great!! It was challenging, but doable and I knew I could take breaks when needed but be pushed to do more! I would absolutely return to this studio!!

I couldn’t even get in the door before I was treated so rudely. I opened the door, hadn’t stepped inside because I had my little doggy in a bag. The lady rudely said you can’t come in here with a dog. I looked around because I was clearly standing in the outside of the door, I said I was simply about to ask a question. I gently closed the door and went about my business. Jesus Christ! And there was a little dog inside to the left.. definitely don’t want that sort of energy from a yoga studio. FYI, I’m a certified yoga teacher for 13 years now and have never in all my life been treated so rudely at a studio before I could even go inside!! Screams racist!! Just my opinion!! Not everyone clearly, just the woman sitting at the desk!! Will NEVER return, which I’m sure was that persons intent!! Good luck with this business once I finish letting all my contacts in the health and wellness field know about this spot!!

I started my yoga practice at Samatone a few months ago and it has been life changing! The community is amazing, the instructors are phenomenal, and the effect on your body is incredible. We recently hosted a corporate wellness event with Samatone Yoga, and we were pleased to have Rhonda Brown present chair yoga sessions. Rhonda's expertise and engaging teaching style made the session both enjoyable and accessible for everyone. The participants were appreciative as they learned new techniques that could be practiced from their chairs. It was a fantastic experience that left us feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. We highly recommend Samatone Yoga and Rhonda Brown for any wellness events.

This studio and owner are exceptional! I booked the studio for a self care session for a corporate event. Employees couldn’t stop raving about how amazing the experience was. Rhonda added enough simple instruction for beginners and alternate poses for advanced individuals that it met the need of even those that were intimidated by yoga. My colleagues left feeling energized and even said they slept better that night then they had in a long time. Clean, professional , and inviting atmosphere!

I have been going to this studio a few times now and I really like the upbeat energy of the teachers and the spaciousness and comfortability of the room. The floors are squishy which I love. So much better on my joints and knees for on the ground positions. Surprisingly, I haven’t seen this mentioned before on any other reviews but I’ve never been to a studio with the soft floors! Everytime I leave a class I am sweating a bunch but feel so good, light and refreshed even after a super intense workout. The teachers also make sure to give opportunities for all levels of yogis to lean into their practice. It’s one of my favorite studios on ClassPass.

I attended a vision board workshop led by Destiny W. recently, and it was amazing! The workshop consisted of a yoga series/flow, an opportunity to create a personal vision board, and then yoga nidra to complete the workshop. I will address each portion.
Attendance: The workshop was well attended, but there was still space so I did not feel like I was too close to another person. I did not know other participants, but had met the woman leading the workshop (Destiny W). I felt welcomed into the space (so it was not weird if you showed up without a group of friends).
Vision Board Workshop: I have never done a vision board before, and I am not a person who normally shares alot, so this was out of my comfort zone. I figured I would try it as a "new year, new focus situation." I am also not very creative/artsy. There was no pressure to share, but people could if they wanted. There were more than enough supplies (and there were cool supplies, too), so there was more than enough for the exceptionally creative and those who needed assistance in sorting their thoughts. Destiny (she led the workshop) walked around and chatted with each person but the conversations were not loud or intrusive so people could be present in the space and also focus on their own thoughts.
Yoga Portion of the Workshop: I have practiced yoga before, and even at the old Samatone location (before it was purchased and relocated). I have not practiced in a session led by Destiny W. so that was new. I have also not practiced yoga in a couple of years (life got in the way), so I was not particularly flexible coming into this session.
Destiny is a very thorough and calming presence in the studio. Some teachers talk too much, but she does not. There was enough direction to follow coherently, and the way that Destiny described yoga poses/steps made sense to me. It was not all explained in yoga words (some of which I do not know/understand), and there was time to actually do the pose (some teachers move quickly and I feel like I am sprinting to get from a down dog to a warrior).
It was very obvious that she had given thought to which poses we were going to do, and in what order. This was not slapped together, and I appreciated that flow.
Because this was a workshop, we completed certain yoga series/poses and then took a moment to respond to guided questions to help create our vision boards. There was enough time to do the pose, stop, and then write down a couple of words to help us when we got to the vision board portion. If we would not have done this part, I am not sure I would have been able to put a thought together coherently. The yoga definitely centered my thoughts to what I was supposed to be doing.
The music was good. It was more animated during the vision board portion (which was good), and the background sound/music during yoga was neither too loud nor overpowering. I was still able to hear what was going on and also not hear the "extra" sounds of other people in the room.
Yoga Nidra: Um, wow. I love yoga nidra. If you have not experienced this type of yoga, you are missing out. I think we might have done 5-10 minutes of yoga nidra at the end, but I also am unsure because I checked out for at least half of it. It was a very nice way to end the workshop.
Studio space: The studio is very clean, bright/welcoming, and organized. It was easy to check in, sign the waiver, and find a space in the studio for my mat. There are more than enough cubbies/storage for bags, shoes, etc., and the facilities (bathrooms) are clean.
The studio smells nice, or does not smell like a bunch of people sweat regularly in there or like feet. In between the workshop and the next class, the owner and Destiny were cleaning and making sure the room was ready for the next group. The studio owner (Rhonda, I think) was there and very nice/welcoming. Some studios have a clique vibe, but this place does not. There was a bit of everyone in this studio, so it is an inclusive place. That is nice.
I would return for regular yoga, or for more workshops.

Got to take a class from Kim and it was the most fun and challenging yoga class I’ve been to in a long time. Kim is present, light hearted, welcoming, attentive to her students and pushes everyone in the best of ways. Every part of my mind and body was worked and resolute after her class! The studio itself is large and comfortable with all the amenities needed. Love that fellow students are so friendly and represent a mix of both newer and more seasoned yogis . Would highly recommend!

Incredible studio and experience! I did a New Year's Eve session while visiting from out of state. I really appreciated the welcome experience. The facilities were extremely clean and everything was clearly labeled -- plenty of mat cleaning misters and instructions. I really appreciated Shannon's energy and care. She interacted well with the "regulars" and was kind and patient with new-comers (like me!). 10/10 recommend finishing the year (or day or week!) with a sweaty hot yoga session to reset!

I don't know anything about yoga, as I have never tried it until today. Jacked up my knee a few years back and have so mobility issues with it. So, I gave it a go.
Staff was beyond cool. Seemed as if there was enough flexibility in the class to do whatever you could and all good. Needed that, as I looked like a statue up there with the human pretzels. :)
What really surprised me was how totally relaxed I was at the end of the class. You just kinda lay there for a few minutes and it is pure bliss. Went there for my knee, which I do believe this will help, but was stunned at how my head was cleared, not even knowing it was cluttered.
Definitely recommend!

Poor experience overall. I visited once and paid the $20 drop-in fee. I enjoyed the class so I purchased a 3 month pass on Groupon. When I called Samatone to activate it, they were very rude and said they won't honor it because I've been to the studio once before. The Groupon did not disclose that. They then redeemed and deactivated my purchased Groupon voucher without telling me. I've called and left voicemails to clear things up and they're unresponsive. Waste of money.

I really have no idea why this place has good reviews. I purchased a Groupon first mistake. Was put off by the first class that is a recording played on speaker while a “teacher” walks around. As a yoga teacher myself I was in total shock. I could expect it at a gym maybe but a “yoga studio” why? Why pay for a recording when other studios have amazing teachers.
I don’t live in dallas and purchased a 10 punch card so I could drop in. Well what they don’t make clear to you is it’s only good for one month and show you fine print. Near the other 3 month fine print. I’ve just been turned away after using a 10 class card once. As she told me she turned someone else away this morning. A yoga studio taking advantage of “fine print” does not scream good vibes and energy for me. Bad Ju Ku at this place. Have no idea how this place stays in business. Avoid

Samatone Yoga is unlike any studio you'll find. The instructors are very seasoned and compassionate ... practicing with Suze and her team has been a critical piece of my ability to manage chronic disease. From the moment I walked in, Suze showed a true interest in supporting my health goals and made the practice approachable to me -- even as a total beginner. Samatone sets the bar for what a yoga studio should be.

Samatone is a great yoga studio. Everyone is super friendly and the studio is large, clean, and has a great, padded floor (which isn’t always the case, as regular yogis will know). There are three or four classes every day, morning, noon, and evening, so there’s always an option available. Classes are 75 minutes and the poses are held a bit longer than most of the other studios I’ve ever attended, which is a plus in my book. The classes seem a bit smaller, too, and the instructors give a lot of personal directions, so check your ego at the door. They don’t cue many arm balances, which are my favorite part of yoga; however, there are always a couple of free minutes during class to play around. They don’t provide mats or towels, so you’re on your own with those. Bottom line: Samatone is one of the best yoga studios I have attended, and it’s especially good if you are serious about improving your practice.

Went here this morning for the first time after buying a groupon and I was so impressed. I did not realize that I was going to the owners class and I was in for a surprise. She practices tough love, but is so nice about making adjustments and suggestions. I really got a lot out of her class because she pushed me further than I thought I could go. Honestly I did get a little nauseous and dizzy several times, but by the middle of the class I was feeling much better and pushed myself and my mind to do more than I thought that I could. I definitely will be back because of this fact alone. I need someone to push me beyond my comfort level and her class does this! I am so glad that I got the groupon as I need these 10 practices to help me destress and refocus. Thank you!!

ClassPass helped me to find my favorite yoga studio that's basically across the street from my apartment building. It is my happy place! Its warm and welcoming staff and patrons really help to set the mood for a challenging and yet relaxing session. I've been practicing yoga for years, alone and in studios. Since attending Samatone classes, I have noticed significant improvement in my flexibility and strength. The encouraging instructors (Kate is my fav) help to ease my worries about stepping out of my comfort zone and make me push myself further than I realize I can go. I am new to the DFW area from Charlotte, NC and what started with a simple hip opener class and a groupon has turned me into a full blown Yogie! I have been to a Yoga class or two in the past, but they were NOTHING like Samatone. I thought people were crazy when they said I may have an emotional reaction to hip opener. Lo and behold, I had one! :) I had no idea how beneficial Yoga is for the mind body and soul.
Suze and ALL of the instructors take the time to cater to you and your individual needs. No matter how sweaty you are they all take the time to help you adjust your poses to get what you need out of each class and challenge you.
There is NO judgment if you need a child's pose or if you move a little slower no one bats an eyelash. Everyone is so welcoming.
You are seriously missing out if you do not come and practice at this studio!

This is the worst yoga studio I have ever been to. I only tried the studio out because there was a groupon promoting it. Now I know why that was necessary.
There was a physical instructor for each class, however, I am not certain why that was even necessary. I only attended one class and decided to forgo my entire groupon. The entire class instruction was broadcasted through some sort of voice recording while the physical instructor talked over the recording. Not only did the physical instructor talk over the recording, she also joked around with some of the class attendees. Perhaps some people were there to socialize but it was highly disruptive to those who were there to practice yoga. Do not get me wrong, the people seem nice but it is not a place to go to for yoga if one is looking for a proper yoga studio. The place is more befitting for housewives wanting to catch up on mindless gossip.

I LOVE this yoga studio and Suze's practice. The studio fosters a beautiful community of people and has babysitting!!! The studio itself is a beautiful, inspirational space with soft floors and mirrors. The practice is a heated, vinyasa flow. Suze's voice guides students through various routines, allowing the incredible teaching staff more one on one corrections with students. My body looks great because of Suze Curtis and her teaching staff. Her style is my favorite type of yoga in the US! I wish I still lived in Dallas so I could practice with her regularly. I cancelled my membership this summer on July 26th when my husband and I moved up North to the burbs. Since then, I've tried dozens of yoga studios that never compared with the yoga practice I loved at your studio. I've realized that I would rather drive 30 (sometimes 45 minutes in traffic) minutes to practice at your studio than to go to a studio near my house and be disappointed. I'm rejoining on the 12-month auto-draft today. I don't know what I was thinking when I thought I could find a studio close to my house that measured up to yours, but I'm so thrilled to be back! Looking forward to being in one of your classes soon!

I first started going to Samatone Yoga by DPYP about ten years ago in high school. From the first day I put my mat down I felt a physical and emotional release that is incomparable to any other workout I have ever done. After leaving for college and coming back after four years, not much has changed. (which is a VERY good thing!)
Samatone Yoga by DPYP isn't a traditional yoga class, and might not be for everyone, but if you are looking for a fantastic workout, and a great emotional therapy session, this yoga studio is for you! Not only do I feel a huge weight lifting off of me after every class, I have also developed great friendships with the teachers and other students at this studio. It also feels so amazing to sweat everything out! The room is the perfect temperature-enough to make you drip sweat during a hard workout, but not hot enough to feel like you can't breathe or go as fully into the poses as you would like to.
My balance and flexibility has increased immensely, and all of the teachers are so helpful when I reach a plateau in my practice, showing me how to get deeper into every single pose. I also cannot stress enough how great of a therapy session a 90 minute class is to me. I feel calm and more patient during class and have been working on making these emotions stand strong through my daily life.
Thank you Suze, ALL of the wonderful teachers, and my yoga family for everything you do for me!!! (: <3

There is no better place to 'let it all go' than at DPYP....whether you make it a full on workout, choose to find the calm or, on an ideal day, BOTH. Samatone style vibrations are a constant draw to encouraging a better version of me physically, emotionally, mentally no matter what season my spirit is in. Plus it's the most rewarding SWEAT you'll ever have!! There are so many ways to practice yoga yet DPYP remains my home away from home; forever grateful.

Samatone Yoga by DPYP! is the best all around for fitness that I’ve (we’ve) ever had. I lost 40lbs ……keeping it off for 5 years; healed old injuries (neck/back/etc); look better, feel better, wow! The whole package. Suze’s studio is the best decision I made……the amazing teachers, variety of classes and style of yoga at this studio.
The BEST yoga studio anywhere I’ve been!
