Yoga studioAbout the Club
Started with a a few students at Jonas's house over a decade ago, the community quickly grew quick. Today, Second Side Yoga is a place where independent-minded students and teachers come to practice their personal and communal growth.
Located in an unassuming low-hung building in the East Village/City Place without a sign, Second Side Yoga is perhaps a yoga "speakeasy." Upon entering, there is a sense of welcome. A reviwer, Fatimah states precisely, "elite studio with none of the pretension."
Second Side is a testimonial to yoga can help overcome obstacles & lead to a state of bliss. "If a guy with broken English can do it, all of us can do it. Come only if you want to get better," says Jonas. Come to here for growth & stay for Community.

Second side yoga is the Yoga Teacher’s yoga studio. The classes are challenging, creative, and deeply engaging. The vibe is welcoming and cool, and the mix of male and female students feels refreshingly balanced.
The community here is amazing. They usually host a potluck on the first Monday of the month after the evening class along with other social gathering events. They also bring in excellent guest teachers and speakers.
If you want to Studio, the challenge is you and connects to you with an inspiring community, this is the place.

Second side is a magical place. They have the best teachers. Who take the time to get to know you and your practice which helps you to grow and reach levels you didn’t even know were possible.
But aside from the exceptional yoga teaching they have created a studio with a strong community vibe. Everyone gets to know each other quickly there is such a strong supportive friendly family kind of feeling in every class.
This studio has a special vibe. You need to check it out for yourself.
Wherever you are in your discovery of yoga, still figuring out what a warrior one is or a million classes under your belt and looking for new inspiration. This studio will deliver.

Second Side Yoga is truly a gem. I come here every week, and it’s become one of the most grounding parts of my routine. The space is welcoming, the community is kind, and the teachers are incredibly thoughtful.
Yoga has helped me reconnect with my body and mind in a way I never expected—it’s brought me strength, clarity, and calm.
I especially want to highlight Jonas Park, whose classes are deeply grounding and quietly powerful. He teaches with such care and presence that each session feels like a reset for both body and soul.
Grateful for this studio and all it’s given me

Have you ever walked into a strangers living room to strip yr shoes, socks, and shirt off and do some yoga?? That’s exactly how i felt my first time at this beautiful gem of a studio. This gem here is laid away in a small pocket near the West Village area of Dallas. It feels like being at home. It’s really cozy, and by that I mean it can get HOT (depending on which class you take!)
I’d recommend my personal faves Dana and Dove! Their clear cueing coupled with creative sequences will have you stretching parts of your body you wouldn’t ever even know existed. They’re so talented and filled with anatomical knowledge it’s amazing. This spot truly hosts the best of the best yoga instructors in the DFW area.

Jonas, the owner, is a phenomenal teacher with a big heart. He brings a unique blend of creativity, challenge, and compassion to every class. His flows are masterfully designed to push you while meeting you exactly where you are, ensuring that every student—no matter their level—feels supported and encouraged in their growth.
The other teachers at Second Side are equally amazing. Every single one brings their own special energy and expertise, making this studio a rare gem where you truly can’t go wrong with any class or instructor.
What truly sets Second Side apart, though, is the community. It’s warm, inclusive, and filled with compassionate individuals who uplift and inspire one another. Walking into the studio feels like coming home to family.
Be prepared to be challenged, though! The practice here will push you, but in the best possible way. With consistency and commitment, you’ll amaze yourself with what your body and mind are capable of achieving.
I’m so grateful to have found Second Side Yoga and for the opportunity to deepen my practice and pursue my YTT under Jonas’s guidance. It’s been a transformative journey, and I can’t recommend this place enough to anyone looking for a yoga home.

I found the Second Side Yoga teacher training one night while scrolling through Instagram. I was entering a new phase of my life where I had more time for myself and needed to use that time more constructively. I had always loved practicing yoga, but my practice had fallen to the side for the last 20 years. I live in Oklahoma and have a full-time job in healthcare. YTT in Dallas for 10 weeks was crazy! I decided to "Use the weekend to build the life you want instead of trying to escape the life you have" and signed up!
The Second Side Yoga community was so welcoming, supportive and inspiring! Jonas is the most incredible teacher. His understanding of body mechanics, sequencing and how to move the body is like no other. His style is creative, but yet technical. Fun but challenging. To be given a chance to learn from his insight into cultivating a self practice and yoga class is like no other.
I never intended on teaching after YTT. At our graduation Jonas said to me that teaching yoga is a gift to other people and yourself. Teaching yoga helps you to become a better yogi. So, here I am teaching 3-5 classes a week and loving every minute of it!
My Instagram feed is now filled with friends made at YTT. These yogis inspire my practice and teaching everyday.
Second Side YTT added another dimension to my daily life that I am so thankful for. If anyone is slightly considering this training, I highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

No dark room with tiny lights in the corners of the room, no incense sticks, no musical instruments..none of that. Just plain n pure Positive energy everywhere in the room. That’s the level of Therapeutic experience I got this evening in Jeff Worley’s Yin Class. Just didn’t want it to end. Perfect level n amount of stretching. Furthermore, to top it all, the selection of music was A1; specially the second and the last song.. 🙇♂️, Thank you, Jeff 🫡.

Jonas is an amazing teacher with a big heart. He genuinely cares about each student’s personal journey and always gives his best. That’s why I signed up for YTT right away without hesitation. His YTT provides a deep and comprehensive foundation in yoga practice and philosophy, helping me overcome old limits and beliefs while gaining a better understanding to serve the community. The program has truly transformed both me and my practice. I now feel more confident, knowledgeable, and connected. If you’re on the fence, sign up now and witness a better version of yourself!

I usually don’t leave reviews unless I’ve had an extraordinary experience—either fantastic or awful. This is going to be a bit lengthy, but bear with me.
As a self-proclaimed "yoga snob," I’ve had exposure to high-quality yoga teachers and diverse styles early in my journey. I began my consistent practice in 2014 and completed a 200-hour teacher training in 2015. Over the years, I’ve explored various styles including Bikram, Baptiste, Vinyasa, Forrest, Rocket (my favorite), and Ashtanga. When my home studio didn’t survive the pandemic, my practice took a back seat as I focused on my career and commuted between Houston and Dallas.
During my visits to Dallas, I grew tired of the typical “club yoga” scene—hot, dark rooms with loud music and minimal attention to breath and alignment. I began exploring different studios around town and was recommended to try Second Side Yoga, described as “the place where teachers practice.” After checking out their website, I bought a 10-class pack and attended Jonas’ class the next day. I was immediately hooked! It filled the "yoga void" I hadn’t realized I had.
At that time, my life was hectic, so I attended classes whenever I could. I later discovered Jonas was going to have a teacher training and thought, “I’d consider this if I lived here,” as I was interested in teaching yoga. My goal was to be able to teach “advanced” poses to students of all levels, which is the essence of Rocket yoga for me. A few months later, since I was spending more time in Dallas than Houston, I decided to enroll in the 300-hour YTT program and move to Dallas. It was amazing to see how quickly the 200 hour trainees quickly developed teaching skills and I felt like the training gave me the tools I needed to be able to teach a yoga class. I started teaching in July 2023, and Second Side has proven to be a rare gem with a true sense of community.
The studio has evolved from offering only a few classes per week to having multiple classes per day. While it might not be for everyone, it’s a fantastic place if you’re looking to deepen your practice. They host a potluck on the first Monday of every month and open-invite dinners on Mondays and Thursdays. The first class is free, so come check us out! :)

I've noticed a lot of progress since I started coming to second side yoga in August 2023. And every class I leave feeling centered, energized and feeling ligher about whatever is waiting for me outside of the studio. What you're not going to find anywhere else - is the amazing community that's been built here. Sunrise Yoga with DJ and Sol Juice afterward? It's worth all the sweat. Coming back after some time, I still am flexible and ready to take on poses.

A long overdue review for my favorite piece of Dallas. The yoga at Second Side has opened both my mind and my body to what yoga truly is and can be. The teachers are some of the most experienced and advanced that I have ever had. I have grown my physical, spiritual, and mental practices since coming to SSY. Some of my favorite classes include Hayley’s Saturday morning class, or any of the 5pm teachers (Jonas, Dana, Dove), but you really can’t go wrong with any teachers or classes at this studio. Come for the yoga, stay for the community, friendships, and life-changing practice.

I moved to Dallas a short while ago and was lucky enough to find Second Side only a month after my move. The community at the studio has been super welcoming and I've made great connections here in a short period of time.
The atmosphere is fun and light, but full of like-minded folks looking to push their practice to the next level. Every instructor has their own unique style, and I appreciate the broad spectrum of difficulty and styles of class, catering to beginners and seasoned yogis alike.
Side note: If you're up for a wild ride sign up for a Vinyasa X class with Jonas. Show up early, bring water, prepare to sweat, and enjoy the experience.

second side yoga is a magical place where you'll find strong community and really learn to deepen your practice. I first came here with a friend and second side has become one of my favorite yoga studios I've ever been too and will probably go to. I make quite the drive, about 32miles, but it is always 100% worth it and I leave feeling renewed and energized every time. the community here is fantastic, everyone cheers each other on, and everyone knows each others names. it's like home. i've taken classes with Jonas, Rob, and Daniel - all phenomenal instructors. I also did continuing education here since I am a RYT, an adjustment module, where I learned about the art and science of making adjustments to your students. it was well worth it as I gained so much confidence in making physical adjustments to my students. I moved to Texas two years ago and after visiting a few studios, I found my yoga home at Second Side. Although it's 30 miles away from where I live, I drive here twice a week and feel more connected to myself and to others than any other place I've practiced. Jonas and the community he has built here care about the people, celebrating each other's progress and having fun. I initially came here to advance my own physical practice, but I ended up with friends helping me reach new levels of growth while being kind to myself and to others, knowing it's a journey we share together. I was also fortunate to attend Jonas' Yoga Retreat which was rejuvenating and rewarding to say the least. I attended the Second Side Retreat in June 2022 at Xinalani. I honestly had no expectations going into the experience. I had no idea what to expect especially since I had not previously practiced with Jonas or many of the other yogis. It was a very memorable experience and I am so glad I took the leap. It allowed me to push myself physically and mentally. I was able to see beyond my edge. I will continue to implement all of the adjustments and tips as I continue to grow my practice. It also allowed me an opportunity to grow my yoga community. I met so many other strong amazing yogis. Jonas is a very insightful, encouraging and intuitive teacher. His energy and creativity leads you explore the depths of your yoga practice. The retreat was well organized and it was a good balance of yoga and free time. The accommodations were awesome and offered a nice range of activities. The food was amazing, all of the meals had a good selection of dishes. I definitely plan to drop in at Second Side for continuous guidance from Jonas and to expand my practice.
