I started my health & wellness journey with Laci four months ago, I can honestly say this is the first time in my life I actually ENJOY going to the gym. By keeping all of her class sizes small, Laci is able give each client personal instruction & attention which makes every session feel like a private session. Her expertise is far from being limited to only working out, she provides a world of information about nutrition and practical ways to improve your day to day health regardless of your age. I am a 66-year-old male and an avid golfer with a bummer back. I have been training with Laci Weeks at SFC Fitness and Health since its' Boerne beginning in 2024, and it has been my good fortune!
Laci Weeks is SFC Fitness and Health. She is credentialed, knowledgeable and experienced. A collegiate athlete who has rehabilitated from and overcome injuries that could have derailed her dream of opening her own gym. Instead, it inspired her to envision SFC Fitness and Health with a mission to help others.
There is no dread for me when it comes to my workouts. I simply show-up and try my best. As a bonus, my wife and I train together – it is a thing we can do together and for each other.
The tone in the gym is set by Laci and it is nothing but positive energy; the SFC culture is one of giving back.
I sometime hear from Laci, "other way Jeff", which always reminds me of why I train in this format. Mostly, I do not know what to do or how to do it even though I have been a member of a health club my entire adult life. Laci makes sure that my form and execution of each task is optimal for best results and safe for my back.
Showing up for my fitness has resulted in me feeling more confident and capable in all aspects of my life. Thank you SFC Fitness and Health!

I’ve finally found a trainer that teaches me correct form, so I can continue on my fitness journey without injury! If I can do this literally anyone can! I started working with Laci at SFC 2 months ago. I was dreadfully out of shape due to a deep hatred for working out & a bum knee. I dreaded the idea of working out in public so I’m so happy I found this place. She has a unique and effective approach and it’s so efficient you don’t feel like you are doing too much. I already have more energy and strength in just 60 days after a lifetime of neglect. It’s a very small group, customized to your ability and she actually makes it fun!

Let me say SFC and Laci have changed how I feel about exercise! I used to start a program and hate the excessive work out so I would quit! Laci starts where you are and builds from there there! Workouts are enjoyable and I have noticed a change in how I feel and look! My blood pressure has dropped from borderline to normal again! I can’t recommend SFC and Laci enough! Join! I am currently working out with Laci through her virtual SFC app. Laci’s programs are much better than your everyday virtual programs because she individualizes your workouts for your specific goals. I have seen lots of growth in not only my strength, but my form and flexibility as well. Laci is always eager to answer any questions regarding the workouts, form, nutrition, sleep, etc. via phone call, text or video chat. I worked out with Laci for over 4 years prior to her relocating to the Hill Country. I was sad to see her leave because of the strives I had made with her guidance. My back and core have never been stronger and has allowed me to be fully active in Golf and Pickleball. Prior to Laci, after a round of golf, my back would be shot. Now I can play 36 holes in a day with no problems. I would highly recommend her for anyone. Her knowledge of her trade is unsurpassed.

I was less than thrilled with my husband when he gave me personal training sessions for my 48th birthday. Fast forward four years and I actually look forward to these sessions with Laci. She is very encouraging and knowledgeable. She is patient and ensures that my technique is correct to avoid injury. It would have been very easy for me to stop training during the Covid 19 onset, but Laci worked hard to come up with live, online SFC sessions. Laci is, quite simply, amazing. Not only does she design interesting and challenging workouts, frequently changing them up to keep my brain working, she also spends time addressing special needs and injuries. I have had chronic neck and shoulder pain for years and activities like golf and tennis can be difficult. But she works tirelessly to design workouts that improve my range of motion, reduce the pain, and strengthen my weaknesses so I can get back out on the court. It’s a work-in-progress, and she goes out of her way, even seeking advice from other experts, to help me.

I started training with Laci in 2019. I have been with several trainers over the last 20 years. Her approach is completely different than other trainers that I have worked with. While it is important to continue to build strength it is just as important to focus on breathing and stretching. Laci incorporates all three phases of training.
Laci feels it is important to make sure movement and stretching is part of the routine. As we get older we notice the biggest thing you can do is stay flexible. Part of the training is not just stretching before and after but also during the program.
Now when I am walking or sitting around the house I notice myself focusing on my breathing. I have also noticed my quality of sleep has increased.
I was a little hesitant about her method and didn't understand why we did what we did. I didn't see the instant results so was like there is no way her way will work. I was wrong. My flexibility has increased. I have gotten stronger and I take in less C02 because I am not a mouth breather.

When I started with SFC, I had never done any consistent strength training. All of my focus had been on cardio. The previous 6 months, I had a fall and broke my elbow and had to do consistent strength training for the first time in rehab. My passion is horseback riding, but I knew that my core strength needed work to help with balance in the saddle. However, my work doing “crunches” and “sit-ups” never seemed to make any difference. I also wanted help with flexibility. In the time that I have been working with SFC, I have finally started building the core strength that I have been looking for. One thing that I loved about the workouts from the beginning was that they always feel good. They are tailored to exactly what your body is physically able to do at that time, so there is no strain or pain with any movements. I had tried in the past to do plank work but since I didn’t have the core strength to jump right into it, it never felt right. Now that I have built up the strength to properly execute a plank, I can feel good about doing it and not worry that I’m doing more harm than good. Also, the awful next-day soreness that I have experienced with overly ambitious workouts in the past just doesn’t happen. The “feeling good” continues to the next day. Another aspect of SFC that I truly appreciate is the holistic approach to wellness. Laci frequently provides articles and links to the latest ideas in fitness, wellness, and mind-body connections that are both cutting edge and also based in solid science and good research. Often, I have seen new fitness advances and recommendations from Laci that shows up in mainstream sources months later. All in all, SFC provides a fantastic holistic approach to fitness and strength training that really gets results. I am a big fan!

I was introduced to Laci about 6 months ago by a friend after I was looking to find a trainer that could help me get stronger, more flexible, and healthier. With two herniated discs in my lower back, core strength and flexibility were critical to me to work on to prevent future injuries. Laci consulted with me and she came up with a custom program to achieve my goals. As someone who travels regularly for work, she has also made it easy for me to keep up with my workout plan by loading my workouts to the SFC app.
I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to get stronger and to build a custom training program designed specifically for them. Laci is wonderful to work with and very attentive and knowledgeable to help obtain your training goals.

I have been training with Laci for over a year and she is amazing. I need to work on core strength and flexibility and having to be mindful of herniated disc in my lower back. Laci designed specific workouts for me and went above and beyond what a normal trainer does to make sure I was getting stronger while not injuring my back in the process. I began working with Laci 10 years ago with a goal of improving core strength and flexibility. As a competitive golfer in his 40's, more attention and effort is needed to stay mentally and physically strong. Laci, a former collegiate golfer herself, understands this.
Over the years, she has designed custom programs to help me reach my personal goals. I would not have been able to see the competitive success I hoped for and ultimately attained without her partnership. She attentively listens, then researches and crafts solutions to meet the needs of her clients.
Moreover, Laci is "present" with her clients beyond personal fitness. On multiple occasions, Laci has provided advice to me to give my mother and other family members when they have had health issues. This level of care is unique.
