As a parent, I enrolled my son in this wrestling club with the hopes that he would be introduced to the sport in a structured, supportive, and disciplined environment. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of those expectations. What was most disheartening was not just the lack of instruction my son received, but the dismissive and unprofessional attitude we encountered when I raised my concerns.
I observed on multiple occasions that my son was left standing around during practice sessions, not being taught the fundamentals of wrestling, not receiving any feedback, and often being grouped with kids who were clearly more interested in goofing off than learning. When I respectfully inquired about this and expressed concern over the lack of engagement and instruction, I was met with two statements that I find completely unacceptable from anyone in a leadership or coaching position: “Frustration is part of life” and “Pull him, there are plenty of other kids here.”
These remarks were not only unhelpful, but they were also shockingly indifferent and dismissive. Telling a concerned parent that their child’s frustration is just “part of life” without offering any solution or acknowledgment of the problem speaks volumes about the lack of care or responsibility. Even more troubling was the implication that my child was expendable; suggesting I remove him from the program simply because there are "plenty of other kids." That is not the kind of culture or mindset I want my son exposed to.
Youth sports should be about building character, discipline, teamwork, and confidence. They should be inclusive and led by individuals who are passionate about mentoring young athletes; not by those who view children as interchangeable or who shrug off concerns with a tone of indifference.
I sincerely hope this club takes feedback seriously and reevaluates how it addresses parental concerns and engages with its athletes. Every child deserves a coach who believes in them, pays attention to them, and takes their growth seriously; on and off the mat.

Family environment, attention to details, the absolute top level of wrestling, Coach Leslie does satellite weigh-ins here, so we get to weigh in here. Basically, (Wrestling Heaven).

If u have a kid K -12 and they’re serious about the sport, the coaches here will make them better. It’s an absolute no brainer.

This is a great program and place. Good experienced coaches. There are different wrestlers from around the region. Very well established program. My son loves wrestling and this is definitely the experience we'd hoped for.

Outstanding facility! Ray is open to making everyone better from youth to World level athletes. If You are a wrestler in DFW this is where you need to be.
