If I could give zero stars I would!

The amount of time and effort and money poured into this gym from my family and I just to be tossed to the curb without any sympathy.

If you’re thinking about joining Star Athletics, read this first. The glitter and smiles you see online hide a completely different story once you sign the contract.

Coaching culture: instead of building athletes up, they break them down. “Motivation” here often sounds more like public shaming. Kids leave practice doubting themselves rather than feeling proud.

Money matters: fees change without warning, “new” costs appear out of nowhere, and even after you withdraw, your card keeps getting charged. Transparency is a foreign concept.

Now for the real gem — the director. She loves to enforce rules when it benefits her, but somehow forgets them when it doesn’t. I was told my daughter could be removed after four absences while I was in the middle of a custody case. Yet when the directors own daughter missed nearly a month for the same reason? Silence. Apparently “policy” depends on your last name.

And the professionalism? Nonexistent. Within minutes of me pulling my daughter from the program, the director called my ex-husband and claimed the gym had kicked her out because of my “potty mouth.” That’s not leadership that’s gossip disguised as management. No parent deserves to have private family matters twisted into rumors just to protect the gym’s image.

If you value honesty, empathy, and consistency, this is not the place. Star Athletics shines on Instagram, but in reality it’s all glitter, gossip, and double standards. Save your athlete’s confidence and your money, for a gym that actually practices what it preaches.

If I could rate this gym ZERO stars I would! Don’t believe any of the reviews this gym has the gym owner asked parents to give it five stars for a chance of winning a “free private”. Coaches are extremely rude to athletes calling them all type of names. Coaches also pick and choose who “rules” apply to. Coach Star has called multiple times the athletes by “stupid”, “lazy”, “you suck”, “you don’t represent star athletics”! All their coaches are really immature to be running a gym with SMALL girls who love the sport but thanks to them are starting to hate it. The “punishments” are horrible. If you’re not in their star team “stellars or moonlites” they don’t care about the girls or the other teams. There is also drunk parents that are constantly drinking in the office and around athletes (drinking and driving) as well as in competitions and get extremely intoxicated. Once I brought it up they said it wasn’t a staff so basically didn’t matter. This gym is horrible don’t take your children here they DO NOT care about them they just care about the money!

Just 2 weeks after her 3rd birthday, my little one started November 2023 with just 2x / week... she loved it so much we're now at 6 days a week with a combination of tumbling, private lessons and cheer... it's been amazing watching her blossom... the coaches are amazing and really make it fun all the while actually teaching technique and making sure the athletes are learning. My 3yo is really at home here 🩵

if i could give this place 0 stars i most definitely would. i really hope other people don’t make the same mistake my family made and being their children here. their coaches are abusive, and extremely childish. they talk horribly about children, IN FRONT of the children, and talk horribly about the parents when they don’t bend over backwards for them. it’s such a toxic environment, i don’t know why this behavior is normalized, i hope they work on this. parents who care about their children’s mental well-being please be warned and stay FAR FAR FARRRR AWAY.

Best decision we made choosing Pro Scouts! The coaches are well trained in working with kids and helping them reach their potential and the professionalism shows. They teach skills that develop strong characters, positive attitudes and responsibility. My daughter started when she was four years old and has learned so much. Pro scouts pharr not only a five star for the gym but for the coaches my daughters first time in Tumbleing and cheer and she has advanced so much for never being in that. In only a few months she got transferred to intermediate coaches put so much dedication to them so they can do their best. Coaches care for them so much as if they were their own.

It’s been a hell of a season! But when it comes down to bringing my daughter to this gym I have no regrets. She moved to this gym to improve in tumbling/cheer skills. This is her second season in cheer and I can’t express how much she has developed. Her tumbling skills from when she began is unbelievable. I have to thank Coach Star for pushing her to be the best she can be! I totally recommend this gym.💕🧜‍♀️

I just tried calling the phone number posted on the Dynasty website. I get a voicemail message asking to "please leave a name and number," then a second, system message saying that mailbox is full. I have tried multiple times to get someone to actually answer the phone, only to find that now, my calls are being blocked. Given that we are relocating to McAllen (wife, and triplets, aged four) and are seeking physical activities for our daughters, it is a bit odd that this facility not only ignores phone calls but blocks potential customers from calling. Not a very positive customer service message...certainly not encouraging. If this is how potential clients are treated, one has to wonder at the treatment given current clients.

My daughter has been attending Dynasty Athletics for about 1 yr. We love the coaches they are very talented and patient with the all the athletes . Coach Birdy (owner ) is always around to oversee all the classes . The gym is very clean and the A/C in the gym is very much appreciated !

Wow this place is amazing! The facility is always nice and clean and the staff is very helpful. My daughter being new to cheer dynasty , was very hesitant and didn’t want to participate at first. However, the staff build up her confidence and self esteem and now she loves to go to the gym. In addition, the gym has an AC unit which is an A+ plus. It’s the little things that the gym does that makes you feel comfortable and welcomed. 👍

I found Dynasty Athletics after reading reviews from google and Facebook. I went to see the other gyms but I found that this gym has really great staff and owner.

My daughter has never done cheer or tumbling and the coaches are so encouraging that my daughter wants to go back and keep trying. From a shy girl she has built confidence in herself and i believe that’s because of the coaches and staff.

They put the athletes first and wants the best for them.

Great place to get your child involved in cheer whether its beginner status or advanced cheer, it is a very positive environment for the kids, the coaching staff is amazing and dedicates time to each child, my daughter learned a proper cartwheel to now learning a back tuck, such a family feeling where all the kids can become like family movtivating each other, well worth it and would def recommend it to all my friends

Absolutely love this gym! The coaches and staff are great and work very well with the athletes... This is our second year with VCD and my daughter and I have made great friends and gained another family.
