A community for those who reach higher
Stone Co. Climbing, or Stone Co. for short (pronounced “stone ko”), is a community space featuring 8,000 sq. ft of bouldering surface, a pristine yoga studio, and a fully equipped fitness facility. We are Bryan-College Station’s first and only commercial climbing gym (yeah, we’re excited about that too), but we’re more than just a climbing gym.
Stone Co. is a place where people from all abilities, backgrounds, and walks of life can participate in a healthy, active lifestyle that doesn’t just help you shape a rock-hard physique or an unshakeable warrior pose. Stone Co. is a place to build meaningful relationships and unlock your full potential.

I'm a climber from Colorado who does lots of outdoor and gym climbing. Gotta give it to the gang at Stone co for keeping this gym inclusive and making a cool space. Definitely creative in their setting and super nice staff something to challenge all levels of climbers. Anytime I'm in college Station and need some climbs this is my go to. Keep up the good work Stone Co.

I started climbing at Stone Co around 4 months ago and it is a great place to go if you just want your kids to run around and have fun, but if you’re looking for serious training Stone Co is probably not the place to be. The hold selection isn’t very diverse, and there’s almost always a kid in the way of routes. The one good part is that the route setting is pretty solid, but unfortunately, it feels limited due to the outdated holds. Overall, it’s very clear that Stone Co wants to be more of a family destination rather than a serious climbing gym which is unfortunate considering it’s the only bouldering gym in BCS.

I love Stone Co so much! Everyone is always nice and welcoming. The routes are beginner friendly but also challenging. There are constant events. My favorite event has to be Ladies Night on Thursday’s!

Seems small from the outside but large when you get in there. Vibrant bouldering-only gym with fantastic setting. Clean and offers a lot of variety, including a childrens play place and separate area (something all climbers can tip their hat to) that even has a slide.
Setting style and the wall incline diversity is great. They grade code with washers, use a range. Grading seems pretty spot on.
I really loved this little gym - Im only here for a visit but I hope to see it again someday.

Stone Co. was the starting point of my bouldering journey, and I got hooked. There are lots of nice beginner friendly routes as well as some more challenging ones. Way better than climbing at A&M's Rec center. The staff are very friendly and Stone Co. is very active with the community. They host a lot of fun events and activities. The only downside is that it can get very crowded in the evenings since that is when everyone is done with work and classes. However, Stone Co. recently expanded, so hopefully, that helps out with the crowds. Another note is that this is strictly indoor bouldering only. There isn't top rope or auto belays.

This gym is everything you need in one place. They have a weight room and hang boards to use to get stronger in the areas you need to help you have a fun time climbing. They have a yoga studio where they supply all the tools & classes you need to get limber before a climb or stretch out after. Their climbing walls are always so engaging and well thought out. I visited one time on a whim with my husband and now our whole family and all our friends just can't stay away. This gym is fun, clean, well organized, so spacious, and the staff is always so lovely. No matter if you come in right as they open at 8 am or stay until they close at 10 at night they are always consistent in giving you a friendly and happy environment to climb and have fun.

Love this bouldering gym it’s definitely the best in the area. Staff is always super friendly and there’s a ton of routes to try so you’ll never run out! Also very spacious layout so you never feel like you’re crowded or on top of anyone else. They also have some nice amenities like a coffee/snack bar, good seating tables for spectators, and a nice little pro shop with shoes and gear!

This is a great place for super serious competitors, as well as for super chill casual climbers who enjoy the social aspects of climbing and the fun atmosphere. However, there is very little room for those somewhere in the middle (like myself) who want challenging NEW courses consistently. Recently, the competitions have dominated the gym’s courses, and with new renovations on the horizon, I am pretty annoyed at the recent lack of new courses. I do not pretend to understand how difficult it must be for setters at the moment, I only hope to see new courses soon, and in the old color-difficulty format.
P.S. Thank you for the sign telling parents to keep their kids from running around! I enjoy this place a lot more without worrying if I’m going to break a toddler’s bones.

A trip to Stone Co is hands-down our favorite family activity in town! There are new routes weekly and always a good mix for different skill levels. Our 4 year old loves the routes in the kids area and even some of the routes on the regular walls. The community and staff are all so awesome and kind. The Polite coffee is also a highlight! 🔥

Good climbing place, it features nice routes, a nice strength training area and yoga classes that are also pretty good!
Not so good:
- In my opinion overpriced.
- I felt like route setting often happened in times where a working person would have time to climb like during the week in the evening and on sundays during the day. That’s pretty annoying…
- When I was there they had a “shoe policy” in the strength area which I personally think is non sense and I never saw in climbing gyms in Europe.
Else it’s cool there.

Although I've only been to a handful of climbing gyms, Stone Co has been the best among them-hands down. They have many many problems of each grade (probably 10-15 per V-grade), have a very clean, cool and well-lit facility and have amazing staff! They change out a whole wall each week so there are always new problems to try, and they host many social/competition events to keep climbing fresh and interesting! If you are in the Bryan/College Station area, this place is a must-try.

The routes reset fairly regularly, and there's stuff to do regardless of what your level is, from novice to v-hard crusher.
The route setting is good, if you like slabs and/or very balancy and technical stuff you'll find plenty of that here.
If you prefer more dynamical /strength-based problems, you'll find plenty of those as well.
The community is also pretty great.
Highly recommended.

Pros:
Great staff
Tension board
Decent gym area
Mostly clean
Decent location
Cons:
Limited number of hold types
No hangboard
Limited campus board
Somewhat small
Only bouldering atm
Mediocre route setting
Loud music
The gym is pretty new but is slowly upgrading certain aspects. It is the only climbing gym in cstat so it does get a lot of leeway.

This climbing gym is one of the best climbing gyms out there. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the routes are challenging and fun. They change a wall every Sunday so that you don't get bored of the same routes (I never do). They have multiple levels of route difficulty that are accurate and easy to follow. They have cheap monthly memberships that guarantee fun all month long. I have a family membership here, and our family goes climbing almost every day with our friends. This place is so great, clean, and fun.

Wow! We've been extremely impressed with the entire gym and staff. They rotate routes pretty frequently and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful especially for beginner climbers. We also attend yoga classes multiple times a week and love the yoga instructors (especially Lana). I got 4 other friends to sign up for a membership too and we now come here super frequently. I think climbing and yoga go pretty hand-in-hand, and we're huge fans!
The yoga sessions are gaining popularity (which is a great thing) and the rooms and be a bit crowded sometimes, are there any plans to expand the yoga studio/space?
Also, once there's Wi-Fi here (hoping it comes really soon), that would make this the go-to place to hang out :)

She needs little introduction… and we are so blessed to finally work out with her after 2 years!!! Yes, you read right… It’s been two years since we stopped doing yoga after the lockdown (sadly). During the pandemic I personally decided to explore the nature, and I started hiking like I used to do it in my country Venezuela to keep me active and mentally stable, and don’t get me wrong but is not easy to stay home when you are an energizer bunny 🐰😂. It’s something I will continue to do because hiking makes me incredible happy and Texas has beautiful State and National Parks to visit. But how cool is to find a place in town where you can actually train for Rock Climbing 🧗🏽♀️ for my nature trips and also do YOGA with your favorite instructor 🧘🏻♀️to “Strength & Stretch” during the week?
Wow … I could not see it possible! But yes! Stone Co. Climbing opened its doors in College Station and today my heart stopped when I saw my favorite instructor Carla Maria Bazemore in class and she even stepped on my mat for a picture with us 🥰🙏🏻🌈 My face still hurts from smiling! Thank you Carla for an amazing class!!! You are truly the best, we love you 🕉💜 we are incredible happy to see you again.
Friends in College Station, let me know when you want to join a class with Carla! She is truly amazing. You can work out with her in this awesome place on Mondays at 6am and Tuesdays at 5 & 6:30 pm.

Had pretty high expectations as this is the first climbing gym that opened around college station and it met every single one. Staff are very nice, routes are innovative, and facility is kept clean.

Walls chew on skin so wear long pants and sleeves if possible. The route setting is an absolute blast: seems to cater to younger climbers so expect big dramatic strong muscly moves. As a strength sender stopping in town I loved this. Brand new place, so there's some essentials they're missing. No campus board (though they obviously have a place to add it), no hangboard, no moon/tension board.
