Check-in process is smooth but the people working there seemed like they wanted to die more than the test takers

The proctors and workers there are the rudest people ever. They make it a terrible environment for us going to take exams. It’s EXAMS for gods sake, we are already worried and anxious because of these exams that the proctors should NOT add more stress and THEY DO😑
Also, the place feels like a prison. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

i hate that i can’t choose where to take my exams bc the casa staff at this building are something else sometimes (haven’t been to CBB in a bit but my experience there is better). my exams themselves usually go smoothly but it seems that specifically the female staff tend to talk down to students as if they’re entering a room for detention. i get that it’s not supposed to be all sunshine and rainbows but a simple greeting can’t hurt before telling me to put my stuff up. and i don’t quite understand the issue with me keeping my water bottle in the side pocket of my backpack (which was literally made to hold a water bottle) rather than in the main pocket that can be zipped up. unless the staff is to flip my backpack upside down then the bottle isn’t going to fall out. if the bottle leaks then water is going to escape regardless of where it is in my bag. also the parking lot is tiny. i remember being a freshman and being a zone f permit holder and being relieved that i could park in front of the building where i had my exam. long story short, unless you are willing to wait a while for a parking spot, just park at the tdecu stadium. #yass

I recently took my fist ever college exam with the CASA testing center and to say I’m disgusted is an understatement. The day of my exam which would have been 9/27 was the most overwhelming and anxiety inducing experience I have ever gone through. I went two hours early just to make sure I was able to get my biometrics done as there were no clear instruction as to how to do it. 1. The line was out the door and in the heat which in Houston can practically be considered abuse. 2. There was no one guiding anyone and it felt like a bunch of students who were just as confused as me were standing in a line that had no direction. 3. After waiting in a line that hardly moved in 3 hours I had been told I was in the wrong line and needed to move to the other line which might I add had people waiting for 3 plus hours. I was told to go online and register then come back which I did. After I was told that my account was not showing up and to redo an already frustrating process. At this point I’m frustrated and overwhelmed as the one guy who was directing the line was a complete idiot and seemed to not know anything. Other people who were stuck registering for biometrics where told to wait back in the line when they had been waiting for hours. While all of this is going on it was extremely hot and felt like you were standing outside. At the end of all of this I was left in tears which was the most humiliating feeling. No one seemed to take any responsibility. Every other university does great with their exams online by using a lockdown browser and a camera so why can’t UH. I’m extremely disgusted and horrified with CASA. This testing center is a massive embarrassment for a school that likes to claim it’s tier 1.
To say that UH is a respectable school is a joke and I’m starting to feel like all the negative comments about this school have a point.
