EXTREMELY UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES!

I joined the gym in early 2024 and cancelled my membership in June of 2024. Apparently due to some sort of miscommunication, something went awry with my cancellation and it was either not received, not processed, or both.

A YEAR AND A HALF AFTER THE FACT - in October 2025, I receive communication from a debt collector saying that I owe almost $1300 in back charges. This gym NEVER, NOT ONCE sent me any communication informing me that there was an issue with my account. I was not provided any notice whatsoever that there was a problem - no bill, no phone call, no text, no mail. Instead they just kept accruing charges FOR A YEAR AND A HALF without my knowledge and hit me with a $1300 collections bill. I was never given an opportunity to correct this beforehand, before it got out of hand. This is NOT the way a reputable business conducts themselves.

We’ve had a family membership for over a year now, and we truly couldn’t be happier! This gym has been such a positive space for our whole family. My kids absolutely love their jiu-jitsu classes, they often want to stay even after class ends! It’s a place where they feel comfortable, challenged, and excited to come back to.

Do yourself a favor and sign up for a different gym. Been going here for the last year and my job relocated me so I emailed to cancel. Keep in mind I’ve already paid for the month of September, the owner AC is EXTREMELY rude. Just read all the other negative reviews. He charges me $35 and says I cancelled my membership on the 15th and that he has to charge me another month so basically for October I’m being charged even though I will not be using them gym. Complete BS policy’s and AC tries to bully his members. All good I’ll be reporting him to the better business bureau and disputing the charges with my credit card.

I’ve been coming here since January 2025. Joined the barbell toning classes and the cherry booty classes. I have made new gym friends in both classes and enjoy coming to the gym.
AC and Fatima are friendly and welcoming. Their new trainers Lexi, Terri and Sheri are helpful and guide you through the classes.
The kids jujitsu, kickboxing, boxing, MMA classes are great for my little ones to meet new people and learn defensive techniques to keep them safe(And to burn energy haha).

Awesome Spot for the Whole Family. The Muay Thai and Jujitsu classes for adults are legit—great workouts, solid instructors, and super affordable. You get real training without blowing your budget. The regular workout classes are awesome too—good energy, good people, and you actually feel like you’re making progress. And the kids? They’re all in. The self-defense classes like Jujitsu, boxing, and MMA are a hit. They’re learning skills, building confidence, and having a blast.

Overall, it’s been a great experience. Prices are super reasonable, and it’s one of those rare places where the whole family can get involved and stay active. Definitely recommend!

Decent equipment, it has its issues but it’s not a bad gym at all and if I move back closer to Anna I’d be happy to go there.

My main issue is that I was charged an extra $35 a day after I had already paid when I had cancelled.

I paid $35 on 9/1/25, cancelled on 9/2/25, and was charged again on 9/2/25 for $35. I guess it’s their policy to charge you for another month after you cancel but that doesn’t seem right to me and doesn’t make sense.

I will change this review to a 5 star if I receive a refund.

Here is the experience we had with TBT:

My boyfriend is a fully disabled Veteran and was excited about this gym from viewing their website. We were members for 2 months and paid well over $200 EACH in that time frame.

The owners claim one thing but offer something entirely different. Half of the cardio machines do not function properly, the front trash can outside is overflowing and trash is all over the parking lot. They cut a lot of corners with maintenance and safety. Maybe the Mckinney location is their main location and Anna gets the secondhand service and equipment?

What really didn't sit well with me was the charges that they refused to correct. We were rushed through sign up as Fatima was in the middle of teaching a Cherry Booty class. We didn't have time to properly read through the contract- and we wish that some of the fees would have been mentioned up front. They charge an annual maintenance fee 2 months after signing up. They also advertise 2 weeks free for their classes and we were charged outright just for expressing interest.

I attended a few classes- if Fatima did show up she would always be at least 5 minutes late and her attention was scarce, or she would pawn the class onto another member to teach who did not seem educated in fitness.

They praise community but when you are in the gym, they do not say hi or acknowledge you and Fatima stood by as another member of the gym went out of her way to make me feel unwelcome.

I am all for family vibes- however, we had to switch gym times as there were countless children running around screaming and climbing on equipment throughout the gym. I watched two small children sit on a weight bench as a man was lifting 50 lb dumbbells in the middle of his set.

We tried reaching out to express all of these concerns and never once were met with an apology or any sort of understanding. Just shorthand defensive emails to refer to the contract we were rushed to sign.

This place is a huge liability, and I really wish we never signed up here, it's been such a huge waste of money. Also PLEASE update your playlist already- sheesh!- Mr. Worldwide is not what people want to hear every day/ all day.

Great place, made great by great owners. Always clean and well kept. Plenty of equipment that is well maintained. Even when busy, it never feels crowded. Also, the other patrons always seem courteous and friendly. There really is a wonderful vibe at this gym.

There are a variety of classes taught, one of which I signed up for... BJJ. At 55 years old and a beginner, I sometimes wonder what I've gotten myself into. But AC, the owner, is the head instructor and runs a great class that is beginner friendly for folks like me, but also challenging and instructive. AC gives 110% as he teaches, and his instruction is tailored to all skill levels. Other participants have been nothing but courteous and helpful to an old dude like me, which I think is reflective of how this place is run.

One final thing is that this is a family run business. The owners are always around, taking care of their business and their clientele. If you like supporting locally owned businesses run by hard working people, this is a gym you should consider. As a small business owner myself in the service industry, I know what it looks like when someone cares about what they do and the people they serve. That's why AC and TBT Gym have my business and my recommendation.

The gym small, the layout is crowded and unorganized. It’s a bit grungy/dirty but that’s nothing a really good cleaning couldn’t fix. From what I saw, they do keep their mats in the MMA area pretty clean. Equipment doesn’t seem to be serviced or kept up much.
Shady business practices.. DO NOT be fooled by their “2-week free trial” I signed up, went ONCE and decided it was not for me. Over a month and a half later I was charged $34.99 for a membership plus a random $20.32 fee (no clue what that was for). I contacted them.. was told that I would not be refunded but provided information on how to cancel. Sent the email.. was told I would be responsible for next month’s charges. Woke up the next morning to a draft of $34.99 for the next months membership fee that wasn’t due to 10 DAY as well as a $50 charge for their yearly fee that isn’t due until MARCH 14th. This review is being made in Feb. 21st.
Save yourself a headache, an injury from unkept equipment and likely sickness due to the uncleanliness and find a gym that actually has employees and decent people!

If you are looking for a family oriented gym with a lot of machines and weights, then look no further. My wife and I signed up for monthly plans to start off, and we were offered 2 free weeks of classes for upper/lower body, boxing, kick boxing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitzu. The owners Fatima and AC are super friendly and attentive. There is also a kids area in the back with a TV and some games, which is monitored by their security system which broadcasts throughout the gym so you can keep an eye on your kids while you workout. So far the atmosphere has been very welcoming and we have met a bunch of friendly and kind people. Thank you all!

The gym was FREEZING as soon as i walked in because apparently they have no AC. The equipment is very outdated and run down, fit for the town i guess. I recommend going at an earlier time so that you don’t have to bump elbows with other people or wait for your turn on a machine. Someone’s kids were also running around the gym as if it was a playground which is seriously dangerous considering that if they were to get hurt it would be your responsibility. Gyms are not daycare centers 😁 Also don’t recommend bringing a guest because the fee is $20 which is crazy considering that the monthly cost for a membership is $35. Doesn’t make sense considering the quality of this “private” gym.

Just joined TBT Gym a week ago. I was treated by a gentleman named AC. He walked me throughout the facility and I was very impressed. I have worked out with several different 24 hour work out gyms and this by far has been the best experience. It costs a little more, however, when you see all the different cardio, free weights and machines they have, you too will understand why. Not to mention how serious everyone here is about working out hard and how focused their training is. It’s not a meat market and love the free sauna after a hard work out. They also have a MMA/boxing mat that you can use and yes, lessons are available by a professional. A kids room with video games with cameras in the gym to keep an eye on your little ones. I would highly recommend paying the little extra to provide you with the best work out environment in Anna, Texas. Please stop by, work hard, and reap the rewards that keep your body, mind and soul healthy. And no, I was not talked into this, get nothing for free just wanted to share my experience.

I was a free trial member at another gym in Anna. I’m so thankful I checked this gym out before I joined the other one. This gym has the floor space, equipment and availability that I need. I’ve been in gyms and working out since I was 8. Since joining, they’ve added new equipment. I’ve met the owner a few times. He is in the gym daily and keeps things in good working order.
I haven’t tried any of the classes, that’s not what I’m there for. There’s not an over abundance of cardio equipment- there’s enough.

The gym of my dreams! I transferred from Hot Worx (across the street) and I must say I am impressed with the wide array of machines and space! TBT is a very welcoming gym. I really like how all of the mom’s can bring their kids. This allows them to not have to find a sitter and they can still get their workout in. All of the kids are well behaved and monitored so it never interferes with my workout or is a distraction. The gym is always very clean which is great. I really like how everyone follows the rules with how the door works and not letting strangers or guests in. This makes me feel very safe as a woman. Gym owners are very respectful and friendly. There are so many different types of leg equipment that is not offered at other gyms like the hack squat, sissy squat, front squat, different kinds of leg press, and hip thrust machines. 10/10 recommend. If you’re on the fence then this is your sign to commit! Tried a few over the years after moving but this one is the best. Variety and number of equipment/racks are far better/more than others in the area. Owners are kind and most importantly, we love the family friendly and SAFE atmosphere. 💪 🏋️‍♂️👍 👍

I am so glad they opened this gym. I was a loyal and very happy customer in McKinney. I have since moved North of there and am now a very happy customer of this gem in Anna. It’s clean, it has everything you could want or need for lifting. Not to mention all the classes and trained professionals around here to help and train you for anything you want to do. Love this place!

Finally a gym in Anna we love. My husband and I come here 4-5 days a week. The equipment is nice (either new or like new) and my husband loves the sauna that the owner built. Plenty of equipment and free weights. I love that there are multiple rigs as well.

TBT is the best!! The gym is always clean, there is tons of equipment, and there is plenty of space in front of mirrors to use free weights. It is also hardly ever crowded inside; I almost never have to wait for equipment. The owners are also so nice and helpful! I highly recommend this gym.

I've been at this gym for a month now and I have to say, the owner, AC, is one of the friendliest and most supportive people I've met! You treat him with respect and you’ll earn the same back. Pretty straight forward. He always greets me and is willing to help me with any questions or concerns I have.

The gym is pretty straight forward, you pay your yearly maintenance fee and only pay your monthly membership fee, no initiation fees at this gym. The doors are always locked to prevent people sneaking in. The gym is NEVER overcrowded even in the afternoon because they don’t offer free passes like all the other gyms. That being said, you rarely wait for a machine.

However, I've noticed that there are some fake reviews on here that are trying to bring the gym down. I'm not sure what the motivations are behind these reviews, but I can tell you that they don't reflect the true spirit of this gym.

The gym itself is clean, well-equipped, and has a great atmosphere. AC and his family are always working hard to improve and expand the facilities equipment, and care about their members.

Best gym in the area if you’re looking for a wide variety of machines and a lot of floor space. Got the big boy weight for dumbbells too (180lb). Would recommend to anyone.

I’ve been looking for this gym for so long! A place for the whole family. We love the kids classes at night, and my toddlers come along and watch and play. We also do the adult weightlifting classes that are perfect for all levels of expertise. Started from completely out of shape and now feeling strong and healthy. My kids love to come along and play in the game room while I work out and use the sauna. Highly recommend the family membership and the full membership that includes classes! Great gym and owners!

Great experience so far. Started coming here because i they have a bigger assortment of different machines. Owners have been wonderful. Was told up front about the rules they have at the gym. Super clean. Other members have been friendly. Overall has been a great experience. Highly recommend.

Fatima has the patience of a saint! I recently started working out again after an awful accident so I’m constantly asking questions and she is able to make accommodations while also pushing me just enough to help me recognize that my goals will become my new reality!
I also can’t forget to mention BOTH the Anna & McKinney locations are is the cleanest gyms I’ve ever been to in my 59 years on earth!
Also the other members are very nice and super respectful. I haven’t seen any of the pretentious behavior that often occurs in gym culture, everyone seems genuinely encouraging of one another!

This is a great Gym with tons of great workout machines plus training classes for all body workout . Owners (AC & Fatima) are family & friendly oriented folks but straight forward with the Gym's rules & policies which I personally appreciate because I also run a small business. If there are no rules or policies in place, unknown entry can create trouble for members or to the gym and it is a BIG liability for any owner operating a small business. Kudos to both owners for their hard work & setting up a great place to workout! Thank you!

Hate putting down a local business. Management at this location is extremely disrespectful and utilizes vulgar language on minors. He (management?) swore at….SWORE!!!! I repeat SWORE!!!! and kicked the DEFENSELESS kid and his visiting cousin out. Advising anyone with kids- find a better place. No “cash discount on annual memberships” are worth putting your respect on the line with current management/owner.

I stopped by the gym on White St. in Anna and the door was locked and apparently you have to sign up online to gain access. I just wanted to check out the facility and speak to someone about the membership and amenities. I wonder how many other potential clients they've lost out on with this impersonal style customer service.

OUR ENTIRE FAMILY LOVES THIS GYM! It is always clean, well kept and never over crowded. My kids love taking the classes, love their coach and love hanging out in the kids room when it's over. TBT has everything you could want or need to get a complete work out in, whether it be independently with machines and free weights or by taking one of the many classes that they offer. TBT Gym is a great place to get a workout in, without the hassle of high dues or constant annoyance of “influencers”. This place is top tier. From their wide variety of machines, cleanliness all around, childcare, so many different classes, the opportunities are endless here. I am so sad to be moving away from this gym, but they have left such an impact on our family we will be making the drive to still attend.
