TEGA is an outstanding facility with a clean, safe environment and dedicated instructors who genuinely care about the children. It’s clear that this is a place where kids can grow in confidence, coordination, and discipline while having fun. I truly believe TEGA is one of the best places in town to send your children for structured physical activity and personal growth.
However, as much as I appreciate the quality of the program, it’s important to address the financial aspect honestly. Unfortunately, TEGA is not affordable for many working or low-income families. The cost is $123 per month per child for one class a week, which lasts just one hour, and there’s a $100 registration fee to start. While they do offer a 10% discount for the second child, that reduction barely makes a difference for families with more than one child.
If classes were twice a week, that price would be more reasonable, but for once a week, it feels excessive. The pricing structure clearly caters to higher-income families, and that’s disappointing. A program as positive and enriching as TEGA should be accessible to children from all financial backgrounds.
I’m not suggesting they must cater to everyone, but creating a sliding scale, scholarship opportunities, or community sponsorships could make a huge difference. Giving back and supporting families who may not have the same financial means is where true impact and blessings come from.
Overall, TEGA is an excellent program with high standards and amazing instructors, but it’s a shame that the cost limits access for so many families who would love for their children to be part of it.

My 2-year-old son absolutely loves TEGA! The gymnastics and swim classes are the highlight of his week—he’s always excited to go and comes home happy and tired from all the activity. The instructors are fantastic with little ones, patient and encouraging, and they create such a fun learning environment.
We also really enjoy the “Just Bounce” open gym on Fridays at TEGA 2—it’s the perfect way to let him burn off energy, explore, and practice the skills he’s learning in class. The facility is always clean, safe, and welcoming, and I love seeing how much confidence and joy my son gets out of being there.
I highly recommend TEGA to any parent looking for a positive, energetic place for their kids to grow, move, and have fun!

I would not recommend the swim lessons. They are cramming 5 toddlers in a class with 1 instructor and there have been several kids slipping off the ledge! The instructor is halfway down the pool with their backs turned and nobody is there to notice when a kid needs help. There are no lifeguards and it’s just not safe for the littles. It’s also impossible to get a hold of anyone over there! We will not be returning!

Booked my daughter’s party here on June 29th. No one showed up to open the building for the party. Finally got a phone call giving me their excuses for not being there. Still have not been refunded for my $100 deposit! 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

My son is ASD and this place has blown my mind. The staff is wonderful with him and he loves going here. They are very communicative. It’s absolutely worth the peace of mind knowing my son is safe, happy, and being cared for while I’m at work.

Our family loves TEGA. My son has been taking gymnastics for 6 years now. The strength, flexibility, and body control he has gained with the help of the supportive coaching staff has helped him compete and remain injury free in gymnastics and all his other sports as well! The facility is open and I'm able to see him practicing at all times. Price/Product is excellent!

Both of my kids attend the after school program, summer camp, as well as my daughter is on the Xcel Competition team. I have had them at another daycare prior and wouldnt switch back for anything! The coaching staff truly cares about the growth of your child emotionally and physically. The summer program is AMAZING! They always have fun field trips as well as swimming daily! I highly recommend any services Tega offers as you won't find a better organization anywhere!

My 9 year old son LOVES TEGA! We started years ago doing rec classes and ninja. He has since joined the boys team and competes this year as a level 4. TEGA gymnastics has brought so much joy into his life. He trains with a great group of kids, and many friendships have formed. The coaches at TEGA are so supportive and knowledgeable, and they really inspire and push my son to be the best athlete he can be. I would recommend TEGA to any parent who is looking for a home gym for their kiddos. You won’t be disappointed.

My daughter absolutely loves going to gymnastics at TEGA!! All the coaches she’s had have been amazing! I always recommend TEGA to other parents when they ask what gymnastics place they should send their kids too. The classes are also small enough that the coaches aren’t overwhelmed and can give each child enough attention!

We love TEGA!! My daughter has attended classes there for almost 10 years, and is now a member of the competitive team! Her coaches are outstanding-they love her, support her, and hold her to a high standard! At TEGA, she learns so much more than gymnastics-she’s learning skills like grit and grace that will be with her for life!

Up until we have absolutely loved tega. Felt it was a good safe place for my kids. Reasoning for the one * is my son was SUPER excited to go to class. They were letting kids in and so he was running over there to go get started. As soon as he got there the teacher closed the door and shooed him off with her hand. Of course my son comes crying to us and I'm completely confused as what happened. But my wife saw everything. We get over there to get him in class and they finally let him in. Once my son goes in he's very shy and still trying to console himself. There were two teachers in there. The one that didn't shoot him away was trying to help and show him that they're about to have fun. The bigger issue started when there was a set that needed supervision on the specific obstacle and every time my son got there the girl that shooed him away would leave my son completely alone. The only reason why he got help was because he started to cry and the other teacher went to help him. Another instance was this young lady was helping all the other kids on the balance beam rooting and cheering them on making sure they got off real nicely. As soon as my son got on there she held his hand but was looking away the entire time and as soon as it got to the point of jumping off she didn't even watch him as he jumped off. She even let go of his hand before he jumped. It was very obvious he was treating my son differently and the rest of the kids. It was very off-putting and frustrating. The thing is my wife got all of this on video and we sent it in and felt like nothing was really changed. Tega will be losing a customer. I know this doesn't make or break them obviously, but it's just irritating when you're child is being treated differently than others. We tried to continue to go but my son has literally been traumatized from that experience and won't go on the floor so we've decided to leave.

I have two children who have attended classes here for two years and they have loved it. Unfortunately recently my three year old son was going into class and one of the teachers decided she was going to shoot him away and broke his heart once he calm down, he finally went back in the class and she was extremely rude to him the entire time. I sent video evidence to the manager of the building and told her how heartbroken we were because the teacher treated him so badly the entire class. The manager said that they would speak to everyone at the gym, but never apologized and never followed up with us. Now a month later, my son still will not go into class and cries every time that we show up at the gym. It’s extremely sad and disheartening, because going to gymnastics used to be the highlight of his week, and one teacher treating him badly and being ugly to him, ruined it for him completely. I will never understand how an adult can treat a young child so badly and make them feel like they don’t ever want to be there again. It’s awful. I hope the situation gets resolved in the company and they don’t allow that sort of thing to happen again. But with the lack of follow up and lack of communication and I don’t feel like they truly care, so we have decided to cancel our membership and go elsewhere.

I have tried their Swim program since it started and I like it. Haven't tried others in the area so I can't compare. It's throughout the year so kids are consistently learning and it's indoors.

Do not do swim classes here!!! One instructor lost complete trust with our child by dunking her after promising he would not. Not once, but twice! It scared her and she screamed and cried and didn’t want to go back. They are LEARNING to swim and losing their trust teaches them to be fearful of the water. Even a college kid should understand that simple fact. He did it to multiple kids with a smile on his face, not just ours. We complained, of course, and she finished her last class with another teacher but in a younger level. Although he was great with her, the damage was already done. I was told the swim classes were not great. Highly regret not listening to other mom recommendations. Now we have to reverse the damage done by them. We will not return to this location for any classes.

My child is in swim lessons at TEGA. It’s only 30 minutes with multiple kids going at once. There is a good amount of time wasted doing nothing, and mostly just teaching the kids how to float. I feel like it is a waste of time and money. I’m disappointed

Your staff is rude to kids, stop using the excuse that they’re just college kids, they wouldn’t talk to adults that way, why a child that they know won’t say anything? Some are amazing, which is unfair to them; train your staff for after school childcare to talk to our kids with as much respect as they would their boss. It’s a shame I get more complaints on them (the college kids) then the actual small kids he’s amongst. This is the 3rd incident! I’m hoping you read this, and change how you justify the behavior at your business. We trust you with our most pride possessions.

Our son has attended TEGA's summer and spring break programs for the last 3 years. I have felt really good about the awesome staff working there and they have always treated my son and I respectfully. My wife is usually the one signing him up, but unfortunately she forgot to get him signed up for the last week of the summer. I showed up to drop him off and the staff as always greeted us and I went to sign him in and he was not enrolled. I did notice that this week's his class was about half the size as the previous weeks this summer. I went in to see if I could get him enrolled and the younger staff member was very nice and appeared to be willing to let us enroll late. At that time, one of the managers came out and in a very condescending tone let me know that they would not accept a late enrollment and insinuated that I should get my act together. I guess she was having a bad day. However, I will be looking for a new place for my son to go in the future. We have spent way to much money over the last few years to be handled that way.

I would not recommend this facility for any gymnastics. This facility forgets that they work for their clients not the other way around. They will not even let the boys team compete locally and give the Lubbock community the best ability to help spread the sport of men's gymnastics. They also will not save their clients the expense of having to go out of town, incur hotel bills, travel expense, not to mention the inconvenience for their clients and coaches due to their decisions not to compete locally. Management is truly immature. It is apparent that they know that they have an inferior facility to train when compared to their facilities locally and they don't want anyone to know it if they can prevent it. Seems they would look out for the interests of their clients and not their own pettiness.

I really liked how friendly the staff was and they give you a sheet of paper at the end of the day that tells you how your child did, mood, how much they are, whether or not they napped, etc. My child, however, is too scared to go back because a couple of kids were really mean to him and hit him and made him cry. I spoke to the staff about it but I think maybe there's too many kids for them to keep up with and they can't really watch for every little thing.

If you are looking to get your child involved in a truly wonderful competitive team program, look no further. I have found that no other program in the West Texas area can rival the success that this program has seen. The coaches are very invested and are always wanting the children to exceed...and they do! I will definitely be bringing my budding gymnast here!
