My daughter has gone to Texstar for 4 years now. She has loved every minute of it. She started out with the combo tumbling and cheer class and she fell in love with cheer. I am very impressed with what my daughter has learned from her classes at Texstar. She is consistently moving to the next level. They make it very easy for parent drop off, pick up and watching. She is always eager and excited to go to her classes and to the Fun Fridays. This is the fourth year she has been enrolled. We have taken the fall, spring, and summer sessions each year. We love the summer session because it’s easy to make up when you are out of town. I highly recommend Texstar.

We celebrated my granddaughter's 7th birthday and it was wonderful!! The kids had a blast, the parents got to sit where it was quiet, and the hostesses took care of everything from cake cutting to clean up! The decorations and party favors were so cute! I could tell they took a lot of pride in setting everything up. We all had a great time. They even carried the cake in and loaded all the presents into the car! If you want a really nice but no fuss party, look no further! The cost is super reasonable especially for the level of service provided!!

We have been at TexStar for the past 5 years. I have 2 children in the competitive elite cheer program and one child who competed on the tumbling and trampoline travel team for 2 years. My children have grown so much, learned valuable skills, and also life lessons through these programs. They have also developed friendships with peers and have a group of coaches that care about them as individuals, not just athletes they are coaching. We love TexStar!!

4 years wasted. Such a joke. All I cared about is that my kid was cared about. They got her hopes up, sent emails that were a "mistake" and then when she went to the practice that she was told BY EMAIL, that she made, she was left to be by herself and then told by the owner, Dawn, that she should go back to Pre -Team. She left our daughter by herself for 2 hours that night without a spot to "belong" to, she felt left out, she felt humiliated. This absolutely unacceptable!!! She should have called us to pick her up at the very least! But, instead, she left her alone to be confused and incredibly upset. This place is a money pit. They don't care a bit about your child. Unless they're going to be in the Olympics- then maybe they care. Otherwise, they'll be left to get their hopes up, be devastated, confused, upset and traumatized. Our daughters dreams were crushed bc of this place. They'll fool you for a few years - but then they'll do the same thing they did to us. We were warned as well- but we gave them a chance. Horrible company. Too many family members running the place- nobody knows what is what. They all answer each other's emails and can't keep up with 2 plus 2.
We tried to have a cordial meeting with her to work this out, but all she had was excuses instead of owning what had just happened. Customer is never right at this place~ read previous reviews and you can see this for yourself. Defensive and prideful owners and managers. So glad we got out when we did.

UPDATE: Per the response to my review: Please do not threaten me with legal action. I can take the same action as well. All of the reviews on here about TexStar that are anything but “perfect” bring out the defensiveness and unaccountability. It should be met with understanding, sincere apologies, and admittance that it was not handled in the best way. We all make mistakes.

We've been taking our now 6 year old daughter here for over two years. The coaches have always been very kind and respectful. I have had MULTIPLE issues with them charging me for classes we didn’t sign up for. I have had to call so many times to request a refund. It’s a wonder how many other athletes that are getting charged for classes they didn’t sign up for!

My daughter hit a plateau tumbling with a coach she had been with for years. We decided to give texstar a try and it has been amazing! We are on year 3 and it was the best decision for our daughter. We had a great experience when my daughter was in their spring classes. We joined to help her gain more confidence and she loved it. We then joined the summer classes and it was completely unorganized and unprofessional. I was told my daughter was In one room and when I would come she would be in another. Several other parents shared their frustration over the same thing. Then my daughter had an incident where she was completely ignored while she cried and was hurt. I did message Tessa to tell her about the incident where she did take several days to message me back just to tell me that my daughter’s coach had a different story and that my daughter has cried at every class (which I wasn’t made aware of until the email) and that I could have a refund for the last class. I did respond frustratingly and that I’d be ok with just the refund of the last week of class even though my daughter ended up missing several. That was a week ago and I’m still waiting for the refund for even a response from her.

UPDATE:per owner’s response at the bottom, it was not a time sensitive matter to her. I was not aware but as a concerned parent with an injured child it was time sensitive to me. You did communicate that to me through email A WEEK AND A HALF LATER after my initial email coming to you with the situation. And I didn’t expect you to lie on your response, since the initial incident I have never contacted any of your staff in an angry manner and have only spoke to you I did not expect you to lie to me on this post simply because I made a review you didn’t like. I will not deny you apologized and offered the refund because you did and I said okay that’ll work but it has been a week since that and I haven’t received an update or something saying my refund was sent which was when I made this review and only then did I get an email back. I never treated your coaches badly either but when my daughter kept being moved rooms I did ask for explanation but I like several other parents there were frustrated and confused and that’s the only time i have ever even been close to angry with any coach. Please do not lie to make you response look better and discredit me because I was completely honest

I see the same level of dedication to the little bitty kids, rec classes, competitions up to the oldest, most elite athletes. It is rare that the gym owner takes the time to teach a class of 5 year olds. Dawn and her staff will quickly turn into family. The atmosphere is so motivating and pure. Our FAVORITE thing is when someone conquers a new trick for the first time, the athlete rings a bell and the WHOLE GYM stops what they are doing to watch. SO FUN! They believe in your athlete and are willing to work with any level/age! They have so many options that will work with every budget and time commitment. We have been with Texstar since they were in the smaller gym off Indiana. My girls stopped going for a while and regretted it so we have been back again for over a year.
