The GEM is a great family workout environment! The owner, Carl, has built a sense of community into this business. There are a variety of options. The weight room, gym, pool, and workout classes are all included. You can even rent the pool, gym, and party room for events.

Went for my nieces birthday party, and was not impressed by the heater in the gym or swimming area. They did have a bounce house which was cool. Overpriced for the lack of amenities.

We had our 5 year old bday party in the gym that included a bounce house and basketball gym. All the kids had a great time. The owner is super helpful, nice and accommodating. We will definitely be returning again

Weirdest experience! This place is basically an old metal building with some old equipment: weights, few treadmills, chilly pool, etc. I honestly didn't mind the simplicity of it and the sauna was nice...it was the unfriendly atmosphere that I decided to end my membership 2 weeks in. Crystal (I'm assuming Carl's girlfriend) behaved very unprofessional towards me. I was in the sauna with 15min left of the 40min., she walks in and stands right in front of the glass door of the sauna, inches (not exaggerating) away from me. I'm thinking "Ok this is really weird, what's this lady doing? She can see I'm in here...I mean there's glass, sauna lite up in RED, and a human sitting inches away. Thankfully we were separated by glass otherwise she'd practically been in my lap. So she pretends to do something on her phone for about 5 seconds, then literally reaches over to the side wall and UNPLUGS the sauna! I said "Uumm excuse me?" She replied "The sauna was getting hot! I'm sorry." And then she left! I honestly didn't even know WHAT to think, it was so rude and unprofessional. I gathered my things and left. Later that day I built up the courage & called Carl. Not much came out of that conversation, probably because it's his girlfriend that did it. He said "So what's the solution?" I told him I didn't want to make a big stink of this, maybe just a conversation with her that that was unprofessional. He wasn't kind at all and said ok. I returned this morning but I felt uncomfortable so I asked Carl to cancel my membership. I asked him if he would print me out a confirmation of cancelation, he flips his computer screen around and says "Take a picture of it." Most people know that pictures come out wonky when you do that, so I asked him if he wouldn't mind just writing something down for me. I gave him a paper and he did sign it and said "Is this good?!" I said thank you, he said nothing. So yeah...now I know why there's hardly ever anyone there. Not the friendliest place.

I live in Poolville and drive 3 days a week to enjoy my exercise. I just love the "hometown" welcome and the entire setup. Carl is great and will help ya in any way. The equipments are in great shape. Things are clean and in good order. He also does personal training although I don't know his fees. Great place. Literally a Gem out here in the boonies!

I had the opportunity to meet the owner of The Gem of Springtown. He is a very humble, outgoing individual. This beautiful facility that is family friendly services the community in which he is so passionate about. I would recommend this facility, you are not treated like a membership number but treated like family.

The only thing I can do is swim, so having a pool close to home is nice. I just wish they would fix the hot tub. Especially since they got rid of the sauna.
