I had my son's 4th birthday party at the Little Gym at Mockingbird & Abrams and was very pleased with the service and the value. We had a birthday party last year at another popular local kids' venue that was similarly priced and inferior by far. At the Little Gym at Mockingbird & Abrams the staff was well prepared for our arrival and our party. They were professional, communicative, organized, helpful and genuinely friendly and good with the children. They worked hard to keep our party moving smoothly and within the time frame we paid for (there was another party following ours). I would have liked an option to extend our party by a 30 minute increment. That being said, the 90-minute time frame was great for little toddlers and young children, and the staff helped clean and pack us up so thoughtfully. As the parents and hosts, I didn't have to lift a finger or do anything that I didn't want to do. Mark was great.

We came to attend the bugs class for our 8 month old as a drop in since we are visiting from out of state. We attend little gym back home and have loved it so far. The teacher was very nice and welcoming, however we were disappointed by the lack of structure and organization in the class. I am not sure if it’s because it is a new month and there should be a new focus, but we are used to more structure, skills, and engagement practiced during that time with our little one.

It was my 7 m/o daughter first day in Mr. Joel class. He was such an amazing instructor. He made me feel so welcomed. Love the activities as well. My daughter was bit overwhelmed due to new surroundings and people, but Mr. Joel assured me it was normal and okay. Even gave me a free class for next week. I’m now a paid membership member because of him. He’s awesome. Class is great for social skills and exercise for your little one.

I used to love this gym and the swimming school also. Until one day the director lady the black haired one, very rude went to interrup the class I had already pay for and told me the pay for the next month wasn't going thru we were dealing with our bank at the moment, but she went and embarrassed me and cut the from the class it was already pay, I canceled it inmiadetely and I even had 1 more class payed I didn't even went back after her successful attemp to make us feel uncomfortable, that was a year a go but she actually pushed us to the best we found a new gym on preston and a new swimming school (Emler) were our son learned in month what he never learned there in a year. Thank you rude lady!

Update- Our 2 teachers left and it hasn’t been the same since.

Also the 19+ month class has 22+ kids…. And it’s full. We can’t go because it’s full but then they’re saying we have to still give 30 days notice to cancel. How are we forced to stay another month when we can’t attend the class. The other time is during nap.

I’m sad we have to cancel because she loves the class but 22+ toddlers in a class is too much plus they said it’s full. Why do we have to pay another month?!?!?!

There’s no management to contact as it’s all franchises. So we are losing a month membership and we lose all of our makeup classes we had

(When she was in the young class) Obsessed with the whole place! Miss Nia and Miss Julie are awesome and so enthusiastic. I am able to text to cancel or reschedule a class and they are so responsive. My daughter loves going to class!

Took our daughter here for a birds class with Joel and have never seen a smile so big on her face! She was shy at first, but he really got her to open up and gave her special attention at her first class. Everyone from the front desk to the instructor to the other moms in the parent/child class were so welcoming and friendly to us as newcomers. And the gym is spotlessly clean and just well run overall!

We just had our 4 year old's birthday party here. Mark, Michael and team were fantastic! They helped unload the car, decorate and of course managed and led the kids in the gym. They broke up fights and kept everyone happy and safe. They assisted with cake and drink distribution. They also helped clean up and load up the car. Would highly recommend!!!

I have never taken my 3 yr. old daughter to a little gym before and thought it would be a fun way to try it by having a birthday party because I’ve heard good things from other parents. About 10 hours after booking the party and paying the $110 deposit, my husband informed me that he wanted to have it at another location. So I went in to the gym to ask them that “I understood they can’t refund my deposit, but could we use that toward an introductory class so my daughter could at least try it?” An employee had to ask a manager, the manager had to ask a Director. They called me 3 days later and left me a voicemail that “absolutely not, I would lose my deposit and my daughter cannot try a class. I called back 15 min. after the director left me a voicemail and she was already gone for the day and never returned my call. My $110 was worth more to them than the
$1,000 of dollars I may have spent on a membership.

We had our 3 y/o’s birthday party here and it was the best. The staff took care of setting up and cleaning up. All we had to do was sit back and watch the kids have fun. They had play time in the gymnastics area before and after cake so the kids got to burn off all their sugar energy. The kids had a blast. I would definitely recommend.

Our two daughters both participate in little gyms and take swim lessons here. Both girls love it and the staff is always very friendly and welcoming to us and our girls.

Our family loves The Little Gym! Our girls are thriving in grade school gymnastics after moving from another gym! They love their class and teachers and look forward TLG every week. My 8-year-old says "The Little Gym is the only good thing about Mondays"! They have fun, are challenged and have made great progress in their skill set. Oh, the birthday party's are amazing, too. All three of my kids have celebrated with TLG!!

Absolutely wonderful and friendly infant gym classes that teach kiddos mobility skills, and teach parents the “why” and “how” needed to assist in their child’s mobility progress.

My 16 month old son loves Little Gym. He loves being able to run around and learn new skills, like how to do a somersault and walk on a balance beam. Our teacher, Ms. Rachael, is really nice and loves interacting with the little "birdies." We waited until our son was fully walking before enrolling, but we definitely could have started when he was crawling.

My 2 year old daughter takes gym and swim classes here and we absolutely love it. She looks forward to it every single week and the teachers here are very knowledgeable about what they do! They make you feel like family. The facility is very clean as well, which is very important to me. I can see the progress my daughter makes every time we go and that is most satisfying. On top of that they make learning and growing skills FUN! Highly recommend this place.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I am very disappointed in the staff, primarily Mr. Hymen. The instructor for the 5 year old beginner class. My daughter was late, and for some reason he thought it was appropriate to embarrass my daughter and ask my 5 year old why she is always late. When her aunt asked him why he was questioning a 5 year old he asked "are you the nanny" then proceeded to say he doesn't have time for this and walked away. Extremely unprofessional, and rude. My daughter was mortified and no longer wants to go to gymnastics.

We just did a birthday party for my 4 y.o. daughter -- she and her friends loved it. We picked the Dora theme (they do a quest, and the kids get to go over a big wheel as part of it, which was a hit). The kids are engaged the entire time, doing everything TOGETHER, with several TLG members leading and curating the activities. Tip: don't be late to the party so you don't miss the full hour of fun!

Had a great overall experience at The Little Gym Mockingbird, started bringing my daughter early on and stayed a member until we moved to another city. Good leads for the classes, enjoyed it very much!

My son enjoyed our trial class, so we signed up and paid for a 3 month period right away. Before our first class, my dad, in Houston, was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of Leukemia. I called to tell them that I would be leaving town, wasn't certain how long I'd be and we'd have to start classes when we got back. They gave me the impression that it was no problem.

When my dad passed 5 weeks later, we came back to Dallas, eager to get my 18 month old back into a routine. It was then that they told me that my 3 month period was initiated in February when I paid. I didn't "lose" the 5 missed classes. I'd just have to make them up by coming into other classes before my 3 month period ended. I double checked that starting my 3 month period then wasn't an option. I didn't get rude or throw a fit, but I made clear that I wasn't happy having to work the 5 classes into other days in my schedule. They didn't care, so I had to suck it up and deal with it.

We've been going to classes for about a month now and I still can't even think about Little Gym without being completely annoyed. We had to go back to Houston to get some of my dad's things and I thought "ugh. Should we rush back or should I try to squeeze that class in somewhere else?" My son got sick this weekend and I actually felt stressed / annoyed thinking "that's another class that we've paid for and won't be able to take." What if I'd left for 3 months? Would they have just taken my $300 and I got nothing in return?

Overall, it would have been very simple for them to push my start date back 5 weeks to when we actually attended our first class. Instead, they opted to heavily inconvenience me because they're disconnected from and unconcerned with their customers. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
