we absolutely love the little gym! My three-year-old daughter, who has no concept of time, is constantly asking when she gets to go to her “ gymnastics class”. we have been signed up for one day a week, but we’re currently switching to two days a week because she loves it so much! The teachers/coaches for the class are so good with the kids too, I am able to always sit and just get work done rather than having to watch the whole time!

shout out- Dorothy and Elizabeth are the sweetest owners! They 100% have made this environment so kid friendly and catered everything to the kids!

My daughter is loving her time at The Little Gym McKinney! The director, Ms. Elizabeth, is so personable, friendly, and genuinely interested in getting to know you and your family. My daughter’s teachers, Coach Tabi and Coach Chloe are energetic, knowledgeable, patient, and are evidently excited to help the kids in their class reach their fullest potential at The Little Gym. Highly recommend!

They didn’t ask for my feedback when I cancelled my membership, so I will put it here. Enjoying this location will really depend on your cup of tea and what works for your family. My son has attended the Plano location for about a year and we just moved closer to this location, so we made the switch. This location (understandably so) has a lot of kinks to work out. What I felt was the least enjoyable is the extreme lack of structure. Their motto is safety first, fun second - which yes of course! However, a lack of structure is not fun for every kid. In fact, for pre k - it’s the opposite. They need structure and crave it. For example, they got out the blow up trampoline which is great. However, the used the excuse that safety and need for taking turns was the reason it felt so chaotic. But what ended up happening was the quieter kids who follow instructions were overlooked because of the other students who were running around, not listening, not taking turns. As a teacher myself, the instructors need systems in place. A system that helps kids stay in line, stay in order, and they all get to jump across the trampoline in order only a few at a time. Instead it was literally pure chaos. At the Plano location, they use bars to keep the kids in line and in order. There is a person at the end of the trampoline and a person with the kids waiting in line and then a third person that is helping the runaways. There were not enough adults in the room for this age group. Additionally, the circle times and learning were pure chaos because they have idea that fun is what matters so they just allow the kids to roam and run around so there is hardly anyone in the circle. And they can’t even learn in the circle or do the activity because the two instructors still have to spend time keeping the roamers safe. There was a girl who got on the high beam multiple times at the beginning of class and no one was there to make sure she didn’t fall. Additionally, when they got out the balls at the end of class a kid was hiding underneath one of the tunnels the entire time and his parents couldn’t find him at first and the teachers never even noticed he was missing. I type these specifics because I really urge this location to reconsider what fun means. I also urge them to go and observe other locations to find their systems and processes to keep it structured yet still super fun. The room wasn’t set up before class begin and the kids were spilling in, you can tell the instructors didn’t know where to put things. there was no process to get kids off of the trampoline before it deflated. It was just a mad house honestly. And no consideration to the kids who are trying to follow instructions - sitting down watching the other kids jump while constantly getting looked over because they don’t have systems in place for 4 year olds to thrive. And we are paying for him to just sit there. It was disappointing. I know it’s a new business or reopening but I also hope they reconsider and learn from other locations. We will be re enrolling at the Plano location and just making the drive for now. Again, I would try out the free class and see if this is the location for you! Every family and need is different.

Got a call from them shortly before our babies class saying we were the only ones to register so would you like to cancel or reschedule. The way they did this was very unwelcoming and rude, especially since it was going to be our first visit there. They made it clear they didn’t want to have the class, and didn’t apologize or even pretend to be kind about it.

My experience here was not the best. It’s overpriced for what my daughter was being “taught”. And they make it IMPOSSIBLE to cancel. I have been trying to cancel my membership online, and the website does not allow you to. So I called and apparently they do not have access to cancel for you, which is ridiculous. So I have now sent multiple emails out and have not heard a thing back. If someone could just help me out I would greatly appreciate it.
Sincerely a dissatisfied customer.

My daughter loves coming here! It’s a fun and safe environment. She’s currently there for the summer camp they offer. Each week is a new theme and they decorate the place so nice and have activities for the kids that go with the theme. I’m so happy to have found out about this location!

I highly recommend The Little Gym of McKinney! My grandson eagerly anticipates his class every Saturday. We enrolled him because he was timid and struggled to make friends at daycare, but after a few weeks, he became 100% more confident and now easily makes friends. We are in the beasts class on Saturdays and love it. It's an awesome way to socialize intro to learn to listen to instructions and learn new skills that support strength and sensory. We don't go to daycare yet so my daughter really enjoys being around other kiddos. The instructors are great and patient.

We started my daughter (2.5) at the Little Gym almost 2 months ago and it has been such a blessing to our family! She is not only becoming more coordinated and better at climbing, but also gaining confidence in her social interactions. It is such a joy to go each week and have a place for her to feel safe. Very happy with our experience!

Little Gym is the BEST! We have tried it all; swim classes, dance classes, other gymnastics classes, and no one prioritizes my kids age groups (1 and 3) like TLG does. The teachers are prepared with lessons each week, they are doing new skills and learning new sign language every week, and everything is age appropriate. We are big fans!

We LOVE The Little Gym - McKinney! Every instructor has been wonderful, kind and attentive. My little one knows which days each week are his “Little Gym Days” and literally wakes up excited to go. It’s a fantastic place to get out your littles boundless energy, develop motor and muscle skills as well as social development. We are so thankful we’ve found Little Gym - McKinney and can’t recommend it enough!

Our toddler loves coming here every week. The coaches guide the class, and really help the kids develop in their skills of balancing, hanging, and hand-eye coordination. Would recommend for any toddler parent looking for an energy outlet for their little one!

They refused to honor a make up class that they themselves scheduled for us. They turned our daughter away in tears saying that the membership was expired. Alpha and Omega gymnastics across town is far superior.

After going to the little gym for a while at a further location i was excited to see one open up so much closer to us. There was a slight issue with the class we signed up for and after calling several times with no response or call back I went to our first class to try to get it worked out. Granted, Im not one to easlily get upset and i usually will avoid confrontation at all costs but i felt very disrespected. It was the snarky unwelcoming attitude from the manager I got since day 1. It really made every visit from there feel uncomfortable. We lasted a few months but I couldn't take the vibe of the place anymore.
(I would like to note the other girls that would instruct the classes were very sweet and caring. I very much understand that as a new business you have some growing pains and have to get into the groove of things, and i had absolutely no issues with that. I personally just started to feel very unwelcomed there and it was disappointing.)

My 2 year old LOVES her time at little gym each week! The instructors truly care about the kids and take time to get to know the personalities of each kid. There’s a great balance of letting the child lead/follow their interests with encouraging them to try new things. My daughter is slow to warm in new environments and the teachers have always allowed her to take things at her own pace and she’s been so successful there as a result. They have created such a warm and welcoming environment. We love Little Gym McKinney!

My 16 month old loves coming to the gym every week. I love how involved and friendly all of the staff are. Everyone at this location has been nothing but kind and supportive to my little one and her increasingly growing movement skills. We drive over an hour to come to this location, and have always left each class feeling like it was a worthwhile and enjoyable time for the both of us. I literally cannot say enough good things about how much The Little Gym of McKinney has helped foster my toddler’s confidence and social skills since they’ve opened. Truly recommend for anyone with young kids!!

The Little Gym is so wonderful. Their staff is excellent at making parents and children feel comfortable and welcome. They are great at engaging with kids and teaching them new skills, as well as encouraging them as they grow! The class sizes are wonderful and prevent kids from getting too overwhelmed. Their classes are so fun and provide the perfect mixture of structure and free play. Their website is also super user friendly! I highly recommend trying out The Little Gym for your child!
