Great instruction, very detail oriented. Self defense/fundamental jiu jitsu focused curriculum. Not competition-focused, but they still welcome it. Highly recommend.

Dropped in for a no-gi session. Great instructors and members. Safe, friendly, very technical and skilled, and nice facility. Thanks for letting me work professor Andrew!

Dropped in and was warmly welcomed by all the students and coach Andrew. The teaching approach was a mix of live conceptual games and drills, which helped me better understand the concepts. Love the mission and culture and will definitely be back!

I attended their LGBTQ+ class and had a great first class into self defense. Instructors are throughly knowledgeable and welcoming to all.

I dropped in at this gym while visiting town. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. It’s a great gym environment. I definitely recommend checking them out, and I’ll be dropping in again next time I’m in Houston.

Great place and great instructors! I went to Third Ward before my bjj tournament to ensure my techniques were par. The instructors were able to give me great advice and showed me proper etiquette while rolling. I was even able to use the teachings instantly during the tournament and ended up taking home 2nd place out of 18 people in my first bjj tournament! Bjj has changed my life for the better and has made me more confident now more than ever.

Neat little gym with super humble and nice people. Just started self-defense classes and I'm hooked. Glad to support their mission of serving the Third Ward community and the membership rate was very affordable at $30/month for self-defense classes.
