Such an amazing class, this is very similar if not exactly like lagree, which is a harder form of Pilates and is hard to find in Houston. The class was not too fast paced, but was still very challenging and overall an amazing workout. My new favorite Pilates class in Houston!!

Had such a great experience in this Pilates class! Haeli Yu is an amazing instructor. She was super thoughtful about my limitations, but still knew exactly how to challenge me and push me to do my best. I left feeling strong and like I worked my whole body in the best way. Definitely one of the best instructors I’ve had – highly recommend!

I absolutely love this place! The ambiance and music are everything—so inviting and motivating! I’m pretty new to Pilates (I usually lift weights), so the transition has been no joke. Haeli is amazing!!!! I popped into a Tuesday night class, and let me tell you… she kicked my butt in the best way possible!

She guided us through every move with clear demos, which I really appreciated as a beginner (4 classes in). Even when I felt like giving up, her positivity and encouragement pushed me to keep going—and surprise, I DID! It definitely hurt, but in that super satisfying, “my body’s gonna thank me later” kind of way. Also, I don’t think I’ve ever sweat that much in a workout.

Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend trying Pilates classes with Haeli. She makes it a fun and rewarding experience. Her classes definitely kicks my butt, and I love it. Full body workout cannot get any better.

Best Lagree/pilates studio in Houston (and Texas). I have been coming here for almost 2 years, and it is an essential part of my workout routine. The new owners have stepped up, adding brand new machines and more dynamic and challenging workouts. Highly recommend, even for men.

TLSx challenged me—and I’m so here for it. 🔥
This place pushes you in all the best ways and keeps you accountable. The workouts are next-level, the music is always vibing, and the energy is unmatched. What really makes it special? The diversity. I love walking in and seeing people who look like me, all grinding, all growing. It’s a space that feels strong, welcoming, and real. 10/10 experience every single time. 💪🏾✨

HONEST REVIEW The instructor was rude, not welcoming. I usually go to Solidcore but since I moved I wanted to try this one out. didn’t say hi she said “have u done this b4?” when I came in …I came on time & class started so maybe she was annoyed, that’s how she looked. She doesn’t get off her machine to correct you just says it with an annoyed tone on the microphone and as if you are dumb when you do not understand. I love Pilates so I’ll give it another chance but with another instructor.

I have considered leaving a much longer post but I will leave it with this. The instructors at HIP Fitness in River Oaks have given me my life back. Okay, maybe some context... 5 years ago I threw out my back, tearing two discs, and left with no surgical options for repair. Nothing I did seemed to help. In fact, everything I did made it worse. As an avid runner I was forced to stop training, stop racing. I could not play with my two little boys, I couldn't cough, sneeze, brush my teeth, or move too quickly getting out of bed without fear that I would be immobilized for months. I have attended classes nearly every day since the start of the year and the change in my life cannot be overstated. The instructors truly invest in you. They pay attention, seeing when you struggle and helping you get the most out of the hard days. They see when you are strong and challenge you to push yourself on the good days. They care. I feel blessed to have found this studio. Blessed to have met these instructors. The strength I have developed with their support means I can run again. I can pick up my boys and spin them around and fall to the ground without fear. All the movements that I used to take for granted before my injury are no longer in the front of my mind limiting my ability to live a normal life. Thank you ladies, for giving me my life back.

This is a great place for a low impact class that will seriously work you out! I'm so sore in places I haven't been sore in ages. As a newbie, the instructor was helpful in showing me every part of the equipment before class started. She also helped me find modifications throughout the entire class that worked for my body. I loved that it was a quick and effective workout that ended with a nice cool lavender towel treat. I will definitely be back!

Heads up: they have the socks you'll need there (if you don't have any) and there is a water fountain and water bottles for purchase. The facility is on the third floor, but there is an elevator should you need it.

I worked out with Megan today. She made me feel comfortable with all ab exercises and more during my 16th week of pregnancy. I was confident and she was relatable giving me great modifications and reinsurance! I’m happy I gave it another try with Megan. I would definitely recommend training with her for all expectant mommies!

The best! You will leave sore each time and what I love is that it is so tough and your muscles shake like no other but you don’t feel like you’re being hard on your joints. If you’re thinking of trying, definitely give it a try!

I love everything about place! I have been taking pilates classes for over a year now. I used to be a member of classpass and discovered HIP fitness through classpass and i loved it. I tried different pilates studios but nothing compared to HIP fitness. I decided to start my membership directly with this studio and what I really like if that every class is different and challenges me in every way. The instructors are amazing, very professional, knowledgeable, and keep you motivated throughout the 45 minute workout. Really recommend this place.

I cannot say enough good things about HIP and Lagree fitness! I always describe it as if classical Pilates, cardio, and strength training had a baby, and boom, you’ve got Lagree. I’ve taken 800+ classes to date and yet it still challenges me every time I walk in there. I’ve been so addicted to seeing the changes in my body over these last 4 years. I mean I could barely hold a plank when I started, and yet, I held a 9 minute plank for a challenge during my time here and it’s all because of Lagree and the megaformers used at HIP. I’ve also noticed my endurance increase year after year, especially when I’m running or doing more cardio intensive workouts. Lastly but most importantly, the instructors here are all so wonderful and challenging. I’ve brought a few of my friends over the years to try out class, and the instructors have always taken the time to help them get comfortable with the moves and the machine.

I’ve visited multiple HIP Fitness locations, and they are all fairly consistent - the classes are challenging (I die every time), the studios are nice and clean, and the instructors are knowledgeable and encouraging. I’ve visited multiple Pilates studios, here and while vacationing, and HIP is one of my favorite studios. The quality of the instructors is as important as of the studio, and I always enjoy coming back, even if I struggle the entire 45 minutes!

Visited Hip fitness several times. I’ve been disappointed every times. People have express hair on the floor which attaches to the clients socks. So disgusting, How hard is it to use a swifter between class. Furthermore, this location allows dogs and children. Not what I want when I want to work out. The owners should consider this as NOT everyone is ok with pets and kids in their workout space. I’ll go to another Lagree studio

If you're looking for the Lagree method, this is it. And don't fool yourself into thinking it's a Reformer class. This class uses the Megaformer, and it's a whole new level of pain, burn, and rewards. It's INTENSE. One of the keys to its effectiveness is the directive: "slow and controlled." The instructors are often reminding us, "the slower the better! Challenge yourself to go slower!"

The only quick part is in transitioning to the next move, and they encourage a quick transition so that your heart and muscles don't take a break between moves. This ensures the very best workout in just 45 minutes, and that is key to why I keep coming back for more. When I leave, my legs wobble beneath me. Apparently that's a good thing!

Every instructor I've had since starting in March has been really encouraging and so good about providing individual attention. They are awesome.

Note: grip socks are required, but if you don't have any, you can purchase them there. Clean towels are provided (which you WILL need, because you will sweat your tail off,) and there is a water dispenser, but if you like to drink out of bottles, bring your own.

HIP is a great place to work out. The Megaformer works your entire body like no other work out. This is a great place for everyone not just woman.
The Megaformer machine looks intimidating at first but the instructors do an excellent job of walking you through each exercise.

This is my favorite studio! The classes are small and intimate. I enjoy the Lagree reformer much more than traditional pilates reformers. The instructors are very attentive and challenging. You get a great work out in only 45 minutes! The only minus I would say is that parking can be difficult especially when the surrounding restaurants are busy. Other than that, it's totally worth it!
