Whether that is making it from the second string to a starting position, going from high school to college, making it to the pros, or just being able to move and feel like an athlete again. I’ve never worked out before, but training with Matt has been a total game-changer this last 2 years. He pushes my abilities with his knowledgeable understanding of the human body. I never thought I’d look forward to exercising, but with Matt’s encouragement, tailored workouts, and all sorts of cool equipment I actually do! As a 50 year old female my goals are to improve my strength and mobility and improve bone health….every hour in the gym now is less time in a nursing home later!

What started as just “going to the gym” later became something much more than that. Over the past two years, I’ve improved immensely both physically, and mentally because of this program. Coach Matt is like the coolest professor on campus. He’s super smart, caring, and fun to be around. With how hard gyms can be to make it a place everyone can feel accepted, Matt achieves this with ease. I look forward every week to visit because I feel like I not only belong there, but am wanted to be there. Thanks for all the awesome puns and heavy split squats Coach Matt.

I came to Matt about eight months ago with a range of issues that spanned from mobility issues (aka walking correctly) to low grade pain at various joints. Although I have had a lifetime of athletics and professional training throughout my adult years, I could not manage a solution for my chronic issues. I chose Matt as my trainer because of his well rounded approach- I have watched him train many athletes from all age groups over the years (he frequented my past gyms) with different sport focuses and create and customize his approach to each athlete. The difference between he and others is his education as a kinesiologist - he will downplay the importance of this as just the basics but as a (recovering 50 yr old) athlete, you can tell the difference. Today i am 28lbs lighter, can walk with all my toes on the ground (yep that was a thing!) and getting stronger by the week! And Matt? Well he is back in school for his Masters to further perfect his program - not easy to do but all of us are beneficiaries. If you are looking for a unique coach and a unique gym, he is worth a call. If you are an athlete wanting to get an edge, he is strongly recommended. If you are like me and just want to feel good again, he will listen and work with your body to solve your issues. Thank you Matt!!

Trident training!!! - Matt is the absolute best in the business! He has been amazing at keeping my teen athlete healthy and making him noticeably more athletic and explosive over the last year!!! I personally (40yr old) began going to him about a month ago once a week to help my back and my flexibility for my golf game, I am driving the ball better than I have for years and can actually go to the range feeling flexible without soreness. Can’t recommend him enough.

Honestly the GREATEST TRAINER of all time. If your looking for a trainer who doesn’t care about all that Instagram stuff & is genuine about your feelings & what you’re trying to accomplish… then Coach Matt is 1000% your guy.The best athlete trainer I know.. I play football & I used to always strain my hamstrings all the time. But once I started training with Matt a about a year & a half ago, everything changed for the better. I started seeing a drastic improvement in my speed, strength, quickness & my jumping ability. I always ask him “how do you know about all this stuff” & the guy takes the time to read a bunch of books to make sure his athletes will be able to perform at their best of the abilities when it’s showtime!! He’s honestly a great trainer who actually cares but he also became a great friend!! I highly highly recommend him as your next & final trainer if you’re trying to get to the next level!!!

Training with coach Matt has been one of the most incredible experiences I’ve had in the gym. I look forward to coming back to houston during school breaks just to train with him in person. When I’m away I use his online program and it has given me the motivation that I have been looking for. Personally I cannot see myself training with anyone else. I learned proper form, stamina, and gained much strength while under his guidance. As a medical student I like to understand the science behind each exercise and Matt explains it with much knowledge and great detail. He is calm, inspiring, and very professional. He has been very easy to communicate with and set a goal that is realistic to my schedule that is still very effective. Would recommend new comers and professional athletes 100000000%!

Coach Matt has changed my life. I was athletic 8 years ago in high school, but had since stopped any and all fitness-related activities. I was unconfident in the gym and had no idea what I was doing. In the year that I have worked with him, Matt has been incredibly professional, helpful, and knowledgeable.
He has helped me set and achieve goals, and given me the knowledge and confidence I needed to make huge changes to my personal fitness levels.
He is willing to go above and beyond to help his clients. He makes you feel safe, supported, and successful at every session (even though they're also very challenging!).

I have worked with Matt for close to 5 years since I was about 16-17 years old at
Genesis Sports Performance. Since then I have always been in contact with him for
programing my workouts in order to have a competitive advantage in baseball.
Since the first meeting I was about 150 pounds throwing 83-85 mph and could lift
the bare minimum weight to get by at the time. Over the next year my velocity and
my overall strength increased exponentially. I went from 83-85 to 88-91 mph while
weighing in at 185 and was able to work my way to getting a division 1
scholarship to Sam Houston State. Even after my first year of college Matt was
able to push me beyond my limits over the next few years up till this very day
where I am now an MLB prospect while being able to throw 91-94 mph. Matt will
push you every day, he knows what is going to make you better in whatever sport
you play. He is going to make sure every day you come in that you are feeling
100%. Since working with Matt, I have not had any injuries nor any tweaks of any
kind, he will stress the importance of your form to protect you from injury and how
you need to recover. If you are looking for someone who is going to push you,
make you bigger, faster, stronger, Matt is your guy. I would not be where I am
today without him.

I took 4-5 months off from training and I could not lift 75% of my old maximums. Coach Matt helped me set new person records in a matter of two months. However, this was not the first time he has worked magic. When I first started working with him, my deadlift improved from 225 to 425, my bench press from 145 to 225 and my squat from 185 to 325 in the first 6 months. He is everything you want from a coach: He's professional, he answers every question you throw at him, and he extremely learned. He will make sure you have mastered the form to reduce risk of injury. I cannot recommend anyone over him, since he is simply the best.

I first knew Coach Matt as the water polo coach for my son Adam, 16 years then. My son sang praises of him as he developed to be a serious athlete and a texas champion. I told Coach Matt that I need to strengthen my muscles, get rid of shoulder, back, and knee pain, and become generally more fit and agile. He said “You’ve got it”. He is inspiring, calm, encouraging. He rarely repeats the routines, and targets all muscles. He also explains the science behind each move. I have been training with him since September, and feeling 10 years younger. I still have a long way to go till I feel 30 again! My friends in Conroe and surrounding areas, I encourage you to join me and start feeling great!

As someone who never had good habits of working out, I was worried I wouldn't make it. Great communication about your goals and a personalized program made it easy to establish and keep a reasonable routine with all the proper mechanics in mind. The results speak for them selves, at least that's what my friends and co-workers tell me. I feel healthier, stronger, and have more range of movement.
