If you are over 50 and looking for a place to exercise I urge you to consider TriFitness Gym in the middle of Friendswood. TriFitness takes a different approach to fitness. They call it functional fitness. It combines exercises for balance, coordination, mobility, strength, bone density, heart health, and even brain health. Each member’s workout is individually tailored to meet the needs, limitations and abilities of that person. The expert coaches are there to advise members on how to do the exercises and to ensure that all of the major parts of the body are exercised in some way during each session. Workout sessions are limited to 8 people, with no more than 4 people per coach. So this is an intimate experience and members get to know each other and the coaches. TriFitness also has social events for its members, such as game nights, Halloween parties, walks and fundraisers for local, nonprofit organizations.
I joined TriFitness in February of this year. Since joining I have lost the 10 pounds that I gained after hip replacement surgery, my cholesterol numbers are back to normal and I am able to do activities that were once challenging due to lower back issues.

I came searching for help with balance and upper body strength and I have been so impressed. I have improved in many areas in addition to that. I love that my workout changes each time and my trainers monitor my posture and increase my weight as needed. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly. We also have a good time.

I’ve been attending TriFit Friendswood since they opened. It’s a great place to keep you accountable. I love having workouts planned for my individual needs. Trainers are very knowledgeable and personable! We need to stay fit as we age! Come on down and give it a look see!

I have paid for personal training for years but needed to cut back on spending. I really enjoy being stong (for an old female) and was concerned that a program focused on aging would be a step backward for me but it was affordable so I checked into it. From the initial interview with Jake, I was all in. His enthusiasm and passion were genuine and contagious! I have been attending for approximately two months. The experience has been perfect. They have increased my strength training to a level that fits my needs BUT they have focused on things I didn't know I needed - some very important skills that I've lost along the way ~ for me, balance and eye/hand coordination. They build their program around clients' wants and needs and tweak it frequently. I LOVE it! The trainers are knowlegeable, flexible, creative and very caring! I feel they know me well. I look forward to ever single session and have seen significant progress in a relatively short period of time. Based on the days/times I prefer, I have worked mostly with Shari, Robert and Matt ~ I ❤️ them. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about the gym, trainers and owners. Oh, it's very clean and regularly sanitized.

This gym is a gem. You will get what you need starting from where you are in fitness. Patient, encouraging, happy environment. No matter if you’ve hardly exercised or are continuing a fitness regime, you will enjoy your individual workout . Your limitations will be worked around. At an affordable price.

Jake was able to get me through 2 shoulder injuries better than the physical therapist. The trainers are tailored to you individually, if you're in pain one day, they know that to do. They have extensive knowledge of the anatomy. One stretch might fix you or foam roll an area. This is a great gym.

I started attending TriFitness Gym in mid September after several weeks of physical therapy. This gym is amazing! I was very unsteady on my feet and needed to prepare for knee replacement surgery. Attending twice a week for 2 months has made a substantial difference in my balance and strength. Prior to attending the sessions at the gym, I needed to walk with a cane. Now, I no longer use the cane. My improvement is wonderful! The coaches are all so good and supportive. They give me individualized training. And scheduling my sessions is so easy. There are plenty of sessions to choose from making it very easy to attend even with a busy schedule. I cannot praise this gym enough. If I could I would give it 100 stars! It has and continues to improve my life. I would highly recommend this gym. It is Top Notch!

Before I had knee surgery I found TriFitness to prepare for knee replacement. It was the best thing for me,and after surgery and PT, i immediately went back to my TriFitness trainers. They are encouraging as well as this is individualized so I get exactly what i need for my problem areas. The difference is amazing, enough so that my husband joined also. Our balance, strength, coordination and endurance have improved so much . Thank you to trainers who understand our issues at our age and work hard to help us improve each week!
