Stay at aloft - they have a wonderful partnership with this trufit. Love working out here during work trips. Staff is very chill and welcoming. Very spacious with lots of equipment. Locker rooms are clean.

From day one, Eden has gone above and beyond to make members feel welcome and supported. You can really tell she cares about the gym community — she’s professional, kind, and always takes the time to listen and help out with anything you need. There have been multiple times I have come to the gym at 7 AM on a Saturday or a Sunday and it hasn’t been open. I have to get to work and/or church and have completely wasted my time. There are cars out here waiting and then finally leaving.

Tru fit on 34th is really clean. I’m from out of town and it feels very welcoming here. Alyssa gave my first Lubbock gym experience a very professional and friendly feel. Highly recommend.
To update 2nd time in town and I love this place. I now rent at Catalina west and it’s so close and opened 24 hour. Caleb was so awesome in welcoming.

8/10 Weight room and majority of the time there are spray bottles to clean the equipment after use.
6/10 Bathrooms/ locker rooms could really use some work. I feel like it’s never clean and always has a strong bad smell.
The hours on Google still show 24hrs through the week but that is not the case. Overall it’s a pretty good gym but I’ve defineitly been to better.

I signed up for a month to month contract at this gym and realized quickly it was not for me. Every piece of equipment is old/outdated, or broken when you go. I have been battling to cancel my membership for 5 months, all while still being billed. I continue to get the run around. The club will tell you to email ABC fitness, which I did and they turn around and tell you the club has to cancel the membership. I have receipts of all correspondences. There are no managers at these clubs and apparently that's who needs to cancel. There is a GM and good luck getting her to follow through with what she says. The disorganization is appalling. How hard is it to cancel a GYM MEMBERSHIP, especially one that is not a contract!! I would hate to get a lawyer involved over $21 a month, but they can't keep trapping people in these memberships.

Title: Disappointing Experience with Childcare

I'm writing to express my disappointment and concern about the level of care provided at TrueFit Fitness Club, specifically regarding the supervision and handling of incidents involving children. Yesterday, my 5-year-old daughter attended a session and suffered a large carpet burn on her back after being dragged around by other kids while playing. When I picked her up and confronted the staff member about the incident, I was met with a dismissive attitude and a lack of concern. The staff member downplayed the situation, suggesting that the kids were "just having fun" without acknowledging the severity of the incident or showing any remorse.
What's even more troubling is that the staff member admitted to witnessing the incident and failed to intervene. As a parent, it's distressing to know that my child wasn't properly supervised and cared for. When I expressed my concerns, I didn't receive a sincere apology or any indication that the situation would be handled differently in the future.
Given this experience, I've canceled my membership and would advise other parents to exercise caution when considering TrueFit Fitness Club for their children's care. The safety and well-being of children should be the top priority, and unfortunately, this gym fell short.

To preface this, this review is not of the specific location or the staff of this TruFit. They have always been very kind and the location has always been upkept while I was a member. This review is more on the company themselves and their scummy practices. I tried to cancel my membership by phone, only to be told it had to be done in person. I went in and talked to a manager, only to be told there was no way at all to cancel early dude to my type of membership, I will have to keep paying for a service I am no longer using. It does say pretty clear in the contract the membership can be canceled after 30 days by writing a letter and mailing it to their main office, so which is it the contract can or can't be canceled? In addition to that I didn't know TruFit's only form of contact for cancellations was by physical mail. I know it's just a tactic to make it harder to cancel but what a scummy and unnecessarily difficult way to go about it. I have canceled other memberships at other gym facilities before, and it was never anything more than an email or a phone call to cancel. In hind sight, yes I signed the contract, but beware, unless you are 100% certain you will have no issues keeping your membership unless a drastically major event happens to you, you will be forced to stay in said contract.

Tru fit is an amazing gym. I have been going here for a while now and every time I come I am greeted at the front desk, then I go drop my brother off at kids care. Tru fits kids care is amazing, they’ll tell you how your child is doing and something good they did each time. Tru fit also has great fitness trainers such as Chris (my main person) they help push you and they always keep you motivated towards your goals. Over all tru fit is a great gym and I recommend it to all.

Do notttt get a membership with TruFit. It is IMPOSSIBLE to cancel. Called them, they said we needed to go in person, so went in person, they said they can’t cancel memberships in person and you have to send an email. They told us the last charge would be June 30, we are still getting charged 2 months later. And We started the whole cancellation process 6 months ago.
