I like this gym a lot. It’s very clean and has a huge selection of equipment. It is just missing another smith machine in my opinion. Honestly just don’t like that they pile up huge basket full of the 5-20lb dumbbells for their classes during rush hour (around 6pm ish) and I won’t find anything free 🙁 Other than that everyone has been super nice and helpful. Love the inclusion of the women’s room, massage chairs, several squat racks, and sauna. You get your money’s worth here. I’d like to note that people’s bad gym etiquette is not in the control of the employees… but there should be more implementation of rules for re-racking.

Guys this is a no contract, just be careful second month that I get a 20 fee (First because they charged and eft draft) (I had removed them!)

Second a 20’dollar late fee for a late day! This is absurd! Where can I make a complain about this! Originally I joined because of the 30 monthly but not doing $50! Love the new space for leg machines, finally some room to train legs without fighting for a squat rack. The air conditioning in that room is non-existent. Within a couple sets it feels like I’m lifting in a tropical rainforest. The air is thick, stale, and full of everyone’s hot breath and sweat. I’m drenched, and by the end of my workout my balls are glued to my legs like duct tape. Awesome upgrade overall, but please fix the A/C before I die of smelling ball sweat

I think it’s ridiculous, how a day pass is not actually valid for 24hrs. It’s the only gym that just allows you to use the equipment just that one time. I have called other Trufit gyms and they allow 24hrs. I visit the valley often and try to get the most out of my $25.

I’ve been a member of this gym for about 3 years or so and I actually enjoy working out here. There’s plenty of space, the equipment is solid, and for the most part, the front desk staff are friendly and welcoming. That said, the men’s locker room and restrooms are in rough shape. It’s always dirty, poorly maintained, and honestly just unpleasant to use. I try to avoid that area at all costs.

Many reviews mention the same issues—weights not being re-racked and employees sitting around doing nothing about gym etiquette. The gym always replies saying they’ll do better, but nothing ever changes. I can usually ignore all that but today my frustrations finally hit an all time high.

I was politely waiting for a machine for about 10 minutes while someone finished their set. It was my last set of my workout and I was determined to finishing it. Just as they wrapped up, a guy came from across the gym and jumped on it. I approached him calmly and politely let him know I’d been waiting and should be next. Instead of acknowledging that, he got defensive and started arguing, saying I should’ve been standing closer, when I was literally just 25 feet away, clearly waiting. He even tried to make me feel dumb for waiting, like I should’ve just gone and done some other lift or use other cables not knowing all the other similar machines were being used or “out of order.” The exchanging of words got a bit heated and then he hits me with, “I work here, I’m the regional general manager,” or whatever title he claimed, like that somehow justified his behavior.

The audacity to throw around his position over a gym machine instead of modeling respect and basic courtesy is exactly the problem. If it was just some other gym member, I would have brushed it off, but the fact that this came from a staff member in a leadership role? That speaks volumes. I’ll be looking for a new gym in the near future.

On May 19, 2025 at TruFit Mission Expressway 83 location, I entered a contract with a personal trainer. At the time of the sign-up, I made it explicitly clear that my availability for training sessions was limited to mornings at 5:00 AM. The trainer I spoke to that day was Rick and he assured me he could accommodate my schedule.

On Wednesday, May 21st, I confirmed with Rick that our first training session would take place on Friday, May 23rd at 5:00 AM. I showed up on time for the session, but Rick did not. I contacted him around 9:00 AM, he did not respond till approximately 1:00 PM, at which time he informed me that he would no longer be able to train me due to managerial restrictions.

Later that morning, around 10:00 AM, another trainer reached out to me. However, by that point, I had already decided that I was no longer interested in continuing with the training service due to the poor communication and unprofessional handling of this situation. I didn't even know who this other trainer was. I had never spoken to him or anything.

I proceeded to call the gym and I spoke to the manager who mentioned I needed to speak to Luis, the manager for the trainers. Luis, informed me that he was unable to take any actions regarding my contract. Unfortunately, this has been a recurring theme, it seems that no one at Tru Fit is in position to resolve customer concerns, which is disappointing, especially given that I have been a loyal gym member for several years.

Luis explained that he could not do anything, because I had signed a contract with Tru Fit and not with a particular trainer. I understand this, but again, how can I be paired up with someone I have never even spoken to? Therefore, the principle remains: I held up my end of the agreement, showed up for the scheduled session, and received no service in return. I should not be penalized for this failure in communication and professionalism on Tru Fit's part.

Luis said I needed to send an email to get help. I sent the email on May 24th and never received a reply. After a couple of days with no response, I took maters into my own hands so that no payment would be made to Tru Fit. On June 10th, I received an email that my account is past due. I called the 800 number and the agent I spoke with gave me this another email address and told me to email them for help. I received a response a few days later stating that they could not help me with this issue and that I needed to go to my gym, but my gym doesn’t want to help.

Additionally, the gym needed a lot of cleaning. The men’s showers and locker room are were always dirty.

I would like to say I’m so unsatisfied with my membership. I just went to ask for information and the guy I believe it’s the manager he didn’t want a no for an answer. I just wanted information and he was so insistent to get the trainer member ship. I was there for like an hour saying the guy I couldn’t pay extra for that membership and he keep telling me I needed if I want to get good results. I felt very harassed. Why they can’t understand when someone says no, I can’t at this moment. Now I’ve been paying more out of pocket because that guy kept insisting that I had to get the trainer membership when I clearly said not at this moment. He didn't let me go until I had to say yes.

I understand they just opened a new section at the gym but there is no reason the staff should tell my wife to not place a small workout bag on the floor. The staffs excuse was that it is a new policy that bags can not be on the floor and to use the locker. It’s very inconvenient to have to be going back and forth to lockers. Most of us go to the gym and attempt to be efficient with our time not spend all day there. There is no reason the staff should ruin the workout and cause my wife to go to another location.

It’s a good gym my biggest problem is when I walk into the men’s locker room every thing smells bad and the restrooms for the men look like they barley maintenance every time I go to the restroom and try to wash my hands there is no soap at all and it is disgusting how many people don’t wash there hands because there isn’t soap in the men’s restrooms and locker and go to touch equipment it’s just the maintenance that needs to be fixed
