Staff are the best part about this gym. I know this will sound hard to believe but this gym doesn't have a water fountain or anyway to fill a water bottle that's too big for the bathroom sink... you can only buy water or bring your own. Equipment is decent but it's obvious the owner has no intention on upgrading/improving it anytime soon. If you're from out of town, this is a good spot to visit. If you live here I'd shop around and make sure you're not missing a better value elsewhere. To that point, it's fairly priced for its quality or lack thereof. Again, the staff are very friendly.

This is my favorite gym in Midland. Yes it needs a little cleaning. But aside from that, the vibe here is amazing! I train with Ana and she is knowledgeable about workouts and equipment! For someone who has worked out off and on thoughout the years, I'm glad i signed up for training. I would recommend her for training any day! She is 100% dedicated to helping people reach their goal! Buddy of my said this place is shady and a scam!! They have charged him longer than asked, and was told they can't do anything about it. I understand mistakes, but make it right or go out of business. The personal trainers will cancel on you and you won't get what you pay for. Came into this place, it was a gym. I was alone, heartbroken and sad. I was waiting at the front desk for a few minutes and this gentleman named maddox delapena came over to me and greeted me with such compassion. i sat and talked to him for hours and he made the gym feel like home. i ended up buying a membership because of him. he was like a ray of sunshine to me on that day. i’ll never forget my first TruFit experience and maddox made it a new gym home for me. i don’t know what they are paying this young man, but it’s not enough. i wish there were more people like maddox in this cruel, evil world .

It's a decent gym. Joined a challenge that I paid for. Still waiting on the results since July. But still a decent gym. Need more equipment like leg presses etc. instead of them 3 new extra squat racks they added on top of the ones they had already. And I know I won that challenge so quit holding up on me. 2 year edit: I’m on my third wonderful trainer here, Ana, who I would suggest to anyone! She’s particularly excellent at honing form so each movement gets the very best results. She’s also introduced me to small variation on common workouts that help target lesser used muscles.

6 month edit: Added that the new hires, Bree and Mac make for extra smiles all around. Still thrilled, still going regularly.
Edit: been here for four months, down thirty pounds, and still could not be happier. Extra shout out to DeNeal and Liberty for making my workouts a great time.

I decided to join because of their wide range of classes at this location. I actually ended up using the personal trainers and have been very, very pleased.

I have complicated health concerns, which has proved to be an issue with trainers in the past. I’ve been here for a month and I’ve always been respected, they’ve managed to find that perfect level where I was feeling a challenge, but not to the point I’m going home and sleeping all day/hurting for several days later in ways that limits mobility.

Also, while machines break - that’s just part and parcel of having hundreds of people use them each week - they’re clearly and promptly labeled, and I’ve never seen a machine down more than a couple days.

The first time I walked through the door I didn't know what to expect then I saw David. He was very friendly and he greeted me with a smile. He answered all my questions about memberships and all the upgrades that are available. With his help I was able to find the right package and I feel confident that I can reach my fitness goals. This is my first time going to a gym so I was a little intimidated but now I really look forward to it. David is so easy to talk to whenever I have a question. He's the first person I spoke to when I made the decision to start my fitness journey. It has really been a life changing experience. Use to work out there and by far I think this is the best place locally to work out. Every gym has broken equipment, its the nature of the game. Use it long enough and it breaks. TruFit kept the inoperable equipment to a minimum and always got it up and running in a reasonable amount of time.

Tru Fit is a shady business. They lock you into contracts of 6 months without disclosing the length. They also tell you that all contracts are month-to-month and then tell you that they cannot cancel your contract. The manager that you speak to (in this case Miguel, Midland, Tx) tells you that he is up front with his customers, which doesn't help a bit. Stay AWAY!

Also, as the pictures show, this is a business in serious decline. They use a wooden plank as a bathroom door, the bathrooms are dirty and the equipment is torn.

Absolutely Disgusting — Avoid This Gym

I recently stopped going to this gym — it’s just that bad. The facility is filthy and poorly maintained. Almost every piece of equipment is covered in a visible layer of dust, and the bathrooms are no better — toilet paper is rarely stocked in the stalls, and cleanliness is clearly not a priority.

The men’s sauna is especially disgusting, with sticky residue all over the floor that never seems to be cleaned. Even worse, the ceiling leaks in multiple areas throughout the gym. Instead of fixing the problem, their “solution” is to leave buckets in the hallway to catch the water — which often overflow and soak into the carpet, making the entire area reek of mold and mildew.

What’s most frustrating is that multiple members have reported these issues to management, but nothing ever gets done. When members are paying every month, the bare minimum should be basic cleanliness and building maintenance — neither of which this gym provides.

Until they take these complaints seriously and actually clean and maintain their facility, I strongly recommend staying far away from this place.

This gym is horribly disgusting, the showers were not cleaned for a month and are likely still not cleaned. I cancelled my membership due to that after repeatedly telling staff and management and showing visual proof of same trash in shower daily for the month I was there. They promised to clean immediately each time but the next day it was always worse with the same piece of gum wrapper in the same shower and increasingly more disgusting. ( reply to TruFit response to this post) I already did and have discussed this thoroughly with TruFit on many post , in person conversations, emails, reaching corporate, etc) requested to be let out of my contract because of catching a foot fungus, all smoke and mirrors with this company, still charging me. Never fixed the problem, likely not ever going to #smoke, mirrors, lies, and false appeasement)
